There's actually a condition called Prosopagnosia, or face blindness, where it's extremely difficult for people to recognize faces! It's most common after some sort of physical trauma to the brain, specifically to the Fusiform Face Area, but it's still not super well understood. It's a really interesting area of research tho!

The anime covers the first two volumes of the LNs, there are 15 at the moment so plenty of material for more seasons. If they use volumes 3&4 for the next season there's lots of twists and turns in store for Jinshi and Maomao.

you guys did sooo well with your theories and piecing everything together!

Max Tusker

You guys did great. Sure you got a few things wrong initially but I have seen plenty of other reactors react to this and you are definitely not alone there. I know others will disagree with me but I think that Lakan not only bought Maomaos mum but Meimei also. Meimei was her servent and continued to look after her when she was sick so it would be nice if she could continue to look after her.

Also I really enjoyed listening to Ange playing a bit of the intros before each reaction. By the way, in case you did not know... Full English dubs have been done for this show as well as Frieren which I also enjoyed watching you react to if you want to watch them again.

And it's finished!! I'm glad you guys enjoyed this anime, and thank you for picking it up! It was super fun to follow your reactions!

red alert: arcane S2 teaser released please watch

Ahhh I'm gonna miss my weekly dose of AD reactions 💚 Thank you so much for picking this up! Love your reactions & engaging discussions. Yall actually caught on to a lot btw! And personally find the hit or miss theorising is part of the beauty of the show anyway 😂 A s1 rewatch in your own time right before s2 comes out might be fun (you'll be surprised how much foreshadowing you'll catch in that 2nd watch; I know I was 😂). Thanks again you two!! P.S. Will you be reacting to Hana ni Natte? Arguably one of the best openings of that season alongside Frieren & JJK OPs 😁
