To my knowledge Mako voices Iroh through the end of Book 2. May the legend rest in peace.

The Jin and Zuko ship has to be one of the best ships excluding Sokka's one

YES! A fellow Zutara shipper! We used to be strong in number when the show was going, but it's a rare breed now lol

some nice facts about this episode with Iroh, the VA Greg Baldwin understudied with Mako so the transition of voices is pretty much perfect. Also the picture of Irohs son is based off of what Mako looked like when he was younger.

Mako's final credited episode is the season 2 finale. Making this one of his last times on the show. By this point he was aware he didn't have much time left and was essentially singing this for himself.

Fun fact: the Iroh scene is one of the few ways that I can make myself cry on command every time

Martina

I can not listen to Leaves on the vine without VIOLENTLY sobbing 😭

Another fact about this situation that always gets me, Greg Baldwin, who replaced Mako, refuses to do 'Leaves from the Vine': "It is by far the biggest request that I get and, to this day, I have not fulfilled it once. Because it's not my song. It's his song, and that's a more noble way of putting it. It's my way of saying, 'thank you for what you've given me. I honor your life, I respect your legacy.' But also, on a more mundane level, I'm not as good an actor as Mako. I can't sing it as well, I didn't want to sully peoples' memory of that with me singing it."

In the tale of Aang, the little girl that’s talks about the cat being stuck at the zoo is a Make-a-wish kid, her wish was the meet the creators but they ended up adding her to the show with the same clothes she wore and giving her a line. She ended up beating the cancer.

Now that's a cool fact I didn't know and haven't seen before.

Alejandro Sanchez

This is one of my favorite episodes of the whole series, both the stories inside the episode and the stories about the creators are amazing and meaningful.
