Edward Chireno

im just going to say right now May x Zuko now can be said is genuine cause ive seen the discussion of earlier season saying May was not all that into it but now you know she actually do.

Moe Abd

yeah... thats rough buddy

Julien

The greatest line in TV history was born in this episode, “that’s rough buddy”😂😂😂

H

Thats rough buddy

Alexis

Favourite travel trip on this episodes

Mr Krabs

hakoda isn't a bender, katara is the only southern bender outside of hama

KaijinGarou

Contrary to some people, I always dug Mai's vibe but this episode skyrocketed her on my list and I'm sure on many others' too.

L S

hakoda aint a waterbender lol, remember they took all of them and killed them / imprisoned them, like kataras mom or hama

Copycat

As someone who was once very emo, I 100% guarantee Mai and Zuko absolutely act like an emo couple in high school, very awkward people, making it even more awkward together. I always laugh thinking back when I see them together. Also I think everyone agrees that we wanna see Iron again the anticipation makes it all the better.

Mikhaela

field trip with zuko episodes are the best!! can't wait for the next one, that one is my favorite!

KaijinGarou

Zuko learnt to breathe fire under freezing conditions from Iroh. Remember back in season 1 when Zuko infiltrated the Spirit Oasis at the North Pole through that frozen lake and got out alive thanks to his 'breath of fire' that Iroh reminded him. But, Iroh was the last outsider to learn from the dragons before that happened, so saying the dragons taught Zuko that technique isn't exactly wrong either.

Bill0g

Regarding the parenting, I kind of agree with Ange. From what I can tell, Zuko was a disappointment in his father's perspective. That's why he was horrible to him. His mother then paid more attention to him. This is in contrast with Azula. Since she's a prodigy, their father paid attention to her. Zuko was basically raised by their mom and Azula by their dad even when they're still all together.

L S

the MEAT of FRIENDSHIP and FATHERHOOD lmao

KaijinGarou

Hakoda's not a bender, they wouldn't send a waterbender to a prison that's enclosed by just a lake 😅. They wrote Katara off the episode precisely because it'd have been 2 min long 🤣

KaijinGarou

"You don't know people as well as you think you do. I love Zuko more than I fear you". 👌 10/10

KaijinGarou

Zuko always grunts when he firebends until now that he learnt from the dragons and found his purpose.

Super Novice

Suki is that girl tho, tbh all the girls in Atla are fire even the villains

Maya Coleman

Hakoda is not a waterbender he is a non bender just like sokka

KaijinGarou

My only complaint is that fight on the gondola was too short.

KaijinGarou

I like how Azula starts calling Zuzu Zuko because she respects him now that he's chosen his own path even though it makes them proper enemies opposite to before.

Aly Payan

Mai and Ty Lee betraying Azula still gives me chills to this day. It was so brave and dangerous and we all felt it 😭 the “wow they really did it” moment

KaijinGarou

Thank you for the reactions, guys. Great as usual. See you in the last two episodes before the finale!

KaijinGarou

Chit Sang be like "Hi, I'm an NPC but don't worry, I won't send you collect flowers".

KaijinGarou

I'm with Ange here. Yes, it was always in Azula's nature to be like that to some extent but in that flashback Ozai already was corrupting her. In their meeting with Azulon, Ozai told her to show him the new moves she demonstrated to him, meaning they spent a lot of time together back then already, just like Ursa did with Zuko. And the way Azula talked isn't normal for a little girl. She must have heard it from someone. We don't really know if Ursa didn't try to spend more time with her but it's very possible she did and Ozai didn't allow it because he already considered her the better heir to the throne. Not to say she deserves redemption but that's a layered tragic story right there.

JN

Thanks to Zuko in the first few seconds of the episodes, I actually got reminded to get up and make myself tea to go with my lunch/dinner. I usually drink it while watching you two :)

Chris Lockwood

Awesome! Do you guys think you'll watch the finale's 4 parts in one sitting?

JC

I think they already confirmed that they're releasing the last 4 episodes together

JC

Ange after every episode: "this was one of my favorite episodes" 😂

MikeyMike

Always happy to see more uploads from C&A <3

Nigatsu

That's rough buddy

Harsh

Hakoda cant water bend btw.

DandyZombie

Azula is such a complex picture of a golden child dynamic, when you guys finish the show you should read some of the follow-up comics because one of them in particular gives you more of her. I think Azula is very tragic in a way since she's a 14-year-old girl, she's so young, and yet she is treated like an adult, constantly wearing armor like a proper general. She's lost any semblance of a childhood she might have had when her mother left. There are lots of videos by 'Hello Future Me' that go into her psychology

Bradalz

that line from mai "You Miscalculated" hits Azula hard, everything about her has to be perfect, One of her first lines in the show she says "Almost perfect isnt good enough" Stack that on top of Zuko's "SUN BENDING HAHA" thats gotta cut deep, Shes only 14 too Super emonional teen. cant wait to see your reaction to the rest of her story

Bradalz

Also i recommend checking out Over Ananlyzing Avatar on youtube, he has content on every episode of Avatar, go watch his stuff of your fav episodes 10/10

Xan

It is CRITICAL that you pay CLOSE ATTENTION to Azula from this point forward after what Mai and Ty Lee did, and remember that she is not some grand villain, but rather a very misguided child, much like Zuko once was; the two characters could easily be swapped.

Xan

"I know she loves her brother after seeing the beach episode." -Carlie Exactly what sibling would not love the other? It is one of the closest bonds. Now how tragic is it that a brother and a sister are in a situation where they are enemies and have to kill, capture, or wound each other severely due to their sides? Whose fault is this?

Edmon

It's hilarious how y'all keep forgetting that Katara is the only waterbender from the southern water tribe 🤣

Xan

You guys will never see some this information either in this show or in the following series, so take the following as a fun trivia about Avatar Kyoshi: ---THEY MIGHT RELEASE A MOVIE ABOUT KYOSHI IN 10 YEARS READ AT YOUR OWN RISK--- --Like Aang, Kyoshi was part of a tight knit group --She founded the Dai Li. --Her iconic look was inspired by people she tried to run from. --Kyoshi's friend Yun was falsely believed to be the real avatar; she was actually not correctly identified until she was sixteen years old. --Kyoshi was employed as a servant to the false avatar --Kyoshi was born In poverty to known criminal parents --She had a spiritual master, Lao Ge, who gave her the secret to immortality (yes, she died at the age of 230). --She was the tallest of any avatar; she had the biggest feet. I would pay good money to see a show about her

Joe Tucker

Zuko was using the core firebreathing that Iroh taught him in S1, in order to stay warm while he was swimming in arctic waters 🥲

Kurusedo

Are you guys watching Legend of Korra? 👀👀

Rzgr Ylmz

For Chit Sang my theory is maybe his buds blamed him for screaming in the middle of the lake, they had a huge fight and a falling out. Maybe they were having a hard time with their relationship already; this was the last straw, and they weren't on speaking terms anymore. Are you going to watch the last 4 episodes in one go? I HIGHLY recommend you do that. Even if you put a week in between uploading the last 2 and the previous 2, I would say you should still watch them in one go, and just upload them separately. Although I wouldn't say no to receiving all 4 in one go either. :) I cannot imagine breaking those episodes apart and watching them separately.

JN

Lol, during E14's attempt to get arrested, it reminded me of AoT's Eren vs Jean scene in the Cadet corp party. I was confusing the scenes and thinking Zuko and Chit Sang were gonna beat each other up and wonder why nobody was stopping them.

Kevin T

Mai shot up to one of my favs after episode 15 - no fear shutting Azula down verbally, and had knives drawn ready to do it physically, too

David H

when azula shows up you know its going to be a great episode

Brandon

Please please please watch the 4 part finale in a single session 🙏

Mal

I cant wait to see all the rest of your reactions to the show!

Stella Keil

I know its hard to see sometimes, especially when it is your first watch, because the writers characterized her VERY subtle, but Azula has a lot of layers. Having watched this show a ton of times I would say I now understand Azula very well. And in my opinion she is the second most tragic character, after Aang, in the story. I am confident that you will see what I mean after you are done with the series in two weeks.

kathleen

One of my favorite episodes! Mai’s “I love Zuko more than I fear you” line has deeper significance that I didn’t realize as a kid… Mai is also telling Azula that she fears her more than she loves her as a friend. It’s not “I love him more than I love you.” You can see something snap in Azula when she hears this for the first time. Her most positive, precious relationship was her bond with Mai and Ty Lee. But their loyalty was more similar to the loyalty that Azula and Zuko feel/felt for Ozai. It’s all built on fear, not love. Brilliant writing!!!
