To clarify: "hermits" not having nipples is just anime censoring, they do have them in the manga

The crazy thing is the hermits basically the good guys all these humans and criminals keep invading there homeland killing there people and trying to still there exlir of life all the Hermits are doing is protecting there land from people who are trying to steal from them if no one ever went to the island the hermits would never have a reason to harm anyone.

Gabimaru's delivery of "there is no one prettier than her" was so genuine, this is a love story fr. I weeped a few times watching this ep every now and then. Good characterizations in the show.

We know that they have been around for thousands of years and humans have be coming a killing there people for years if your a human you shouldn't even be going to the island that's like if I'm trying to infiltrate an enemy country I know if I get caught in going to be killed bc I have no right doing that there infiltrating there homeland its not like the Hermits are going to other lands and killing people they only kill whoever come to to there island there like

eh, they're not literal saints (neither in terms of morality nor their origins). but we'll have to wait for the second season to get more of their backstory, so I'm not going to spoil the manga here

My favorite 2 episodes of the show ngl Loved mommy Sagirin and her + Gabimaru's interactions with Mei. Episode 8 also masterfully done, rip to a legend Tenza, that outro with the ED playing hits hard 💔
