Please please checkout "My Adventures with Superman" its super cute can't believe that the romcom would be amazing & the fightscenes the art style is super cute. Please checkout the 30 sec intro its short as avatar intro its super good you will both love it especially carlie.

Bradalz

Looking for something heavy, Rated MA/R like this Should check out Parasyte -the maxim-

lilcig

Budget aside, execution to me is pretty dope for this season. Aza is the most like a Tensen right now cuz he can regernerate, while for other mortal humans, using Tao is fairly taxing. Maybe Aza will suffer his own different side effects, as implied. Match up thing I liked a lot in later story. Here a couple examples were how Nurugai could hug and rejuvenate Sagiri and Shion but it didn't work on Yuzu. That tensen said Sagiri and Shion have similar tao, that opposes his. While Yuzu had similar tao as Tensen here. So there is aiding and opposing relationships between taos. Fr underrated. Chars, power system, talk about balance in between strength and weakness, world building and look. Liked everything myself. In next season it will be a melting pot as not only more Asaemon are sent, ninjas are coming too. It was told in like... 3rd ep maybe. Nice reactions, thank you guys!

Aza has been implied to have absorbed tao from the pit flowers so that's maybe why he has this regernerative condition.

I disagree on your opinion ange about the animation I personally thought the animation was great and I had no problem with it and I think you were being too harsh with your opinion

makotheQ60

Thank you for reacting to this show! A lot of reactors skipped it but I'm glad you guys gave it a chance and thoroughly enjoyed it!! love ya guys condolences Carlie ❤️

Jesus Rocha

At the time MAPPA was working with a lot of shows. Chainsaw Man, Vinland Saga, JJK and I think another show. I personally ended up like the animation at the end and the music was so good. But I can see most of the budget when to JJK season 2. Hopefully next season gets more hype and recognition. Thank you so much guys for reacting to the series.

That cliffhanger on whether Gabimaru's wife exist or not, and him losing his memories was bothering me so much, I had to read the manga. I usually stick to an anime when I watch it first but I just had to know. Sorry anime only fans.

Maya Coleman

The poor tree didn't deserve that bashing carlie that was kinda mean

Zeli

I remember dropping the show at like ep 5, then decided to finish s1 and I'm so glad I did really love where the show is headed and I'm very tempted to read the rest.

I didn't think Ange was harsh at all, he just said it wasn't 'phenomenal', which I gotta agree, at least compared to other Mappa works like JJK or Vinland. But this type of criticism is subjective (I also really liked the animation), i just wanted to say Ange was fair in his criticism (it actually sounded more like nitpick than anything).

Jeff

carlie bashing the tree is funny af

Carlie & Ange
>>148042677

Yeah i definitely didn’t think it was bad. I didnt even notice any glaringly obvious animation flaws. I just thought that in comparison to what Mappa is capable of, it wasnt that amazing. Especially considering how beautiful the world looks around the characters. I feel like theres a lot of potential to make the series look seriously good

One of my favorite thing about the show was the villains. The Tensen personally look very unique and distinct from other villains.

JN

Thanks for the reactions and discussion. Really like the show a bit more the 2nd time around through those. - Shion being a competent white/light hair husbando fits Carlie's TYPE as speculated by Ange back in the C&A rewards lmao. Add another light hair husbando to Carlie's list. - I can't remember exactly, but I think one of you speculated that Gabimaru's wife may be fake a while back. Or just joked about it like "watch them make his wife be fake :(" So that was a good hunch. - Yuzuriha's VA is also Emilia's from Re:Zero, fun trivia

JN

😂 I couldn't help but crack up at how Dragon inhaling the butterfly scales reminded me of POUFFFF from HxH. Why the hell are people inhaling butterfly scales? lmao. I didn't even know butterfly scales were a thing. Why is this a trope that happened twice?

FGK

So what's next? 😁 Hopefully, another underrated show please.

Tameaw

Would you mind telling me how to access the full reaction video? I'm new to the patreon and don't get the system.

They might wait a bit so they don’t have to overwork themselves. Lotta might take their spot and become an official content for the channel. We will see.

@Jesus Rocha That's true. They could do a Q&A and/or a one time reaction vid like their anime OP reactions. I do miss those types of vids.

Khalayx

This was kind of a B-tier anime, but the S-tier OP and S-tier color palette pushed it up into A- range for me. It's outside of the normal Carlie and Ange wheelhouse, but watching how much you two loved the blind swordsman had me thinking you should react to the classic Kurosawa film Yojimbo (For patreon anyways). Masterpiece of cinema, and surely there are enough japanophiles around here that the reaction would be appreciated.

Khalayx

(Yes the blind swordsman is based on Zatoichi, not Yojimbo, but Yojimbo is a GOAT movie that has been turned into Westerns multiple times now)

Yara

FATE ZERO NEXT?

Turquoisedaze

YAS SHION IS MY FAV CHARACTER. I saw the man in the show and I knew, fast forward 24hours later I binged the ENTIRE manga. good times hahah
