Daniel Jacobson

thanks for the korra reactions! also if you guys want something silly to watch / react to, there are a few ATLA chibi shorts up on youtube (similar vibe to AOT Junior high)

Layan

will you react to arcane official trailer?

Maya Coleman

Can't wait to watch these episodes with you guys 💕

Molly

The romantic drama is inevitable, with the Korra characters being older teenagers instead of 12-16 like the Gaang, haha, but this was a fun watch! I think you guys are really going to get into it more in the next few episodes!

Martina

Salami is my favorite character lol

Mango

First it was Ishiwaka, now we got Salami XD

Martina

I agree with you that Bolin forgave them really quickly, but he is a nice guy like that

lol your Annie laughing profile pic fits your comment so well and makes it even funnier 🤣

Jesus Rocha

The Legend of Korra is definitely for a more grown up audience. As an adult myself I relate more to this series. ATLA it’s more kid friendly and I still love it even if I’m not a kid anymore. Both shows are great on their own 😎❤️.

Jay rellim

yall are so funny 😭😭😭

Dani

I love how they’re so invested😂 It makes Bolin crying even more funnier 😭

LookingForOwls

I like that they speed ran through the relationship drama. They're teenagers, it's there, but now we've spent the 1 episode on it and can get back to the plot without a distracting love triangle.

Simone

a good thing to remember: the creators thought that LoK would only have 1 season.. so they kind of wrote this as a "one and done" type thing to make it complete with no loose ends really, which makes sense if some storylines feel a bit rushed. Same goes for season 2, but for season 3 they did know that there would be a 4th and final season :) Personally i don't mind the love triangle/square being over so fast (for the most part).. it was amusing in a way, but if it got dragged out for longer it would get really annoying.

Simone

same, i like that they did everything in one episode (for the most part lol).. get it out of the way fast and back to main storylines

Romang

I don’t think bolin was apologizing to mako necessarily, just acknowledging that things were a bit sucky lol

Maya Coleman

I agree with you guys about the romance in this show and how it felt rushed and how the apology felt rushed too

Jesus Rocha

Remember that TLOK was meant to be one season so this romantic mess shows it. Even so I still think is enjoyable to watch lol.

KaijinGarou

Tarlok is obviously shady but TBH he's right about arresting Amon. I have no idea what Tenzin's on about "a move that aggressive" like Amon's revolution was peaceful to begin with. They already have proof he's been kidnapping people and taking their bending away. If that doesn't warrant a detention, I don't know what does xD.

beannieswife

as a mako hater i can most definitely agree that mako is the worst in this situation🙏 lmao, jokes aside both him and korra did something wrong, so yeah justice for bolin🧎 his dialogues are my favorites

Nate Terry

Bolin, character-wise, isn't a negative broody person like Mako. So it makes sense that he isn't gonna hold a grudge, nor will he really stay upset for too long which is why he got over it quickly. Bolin didn't need to apologize, but I've seen in some places where when ppl fight and make up, both say sorry even if only one was at fault. Legend of Korra time period mimics the "roaring 20's" in New York City. Republic City even has a "statue of Liberty" with the Aang memorial statue. point being, that is why you hear a lot of Jazz music...also why the speech is very 20's-30's New York style. You guys don't watch the the "previously on" opening scenes but they are stylized in old TV film recordings and it's narrated by the same radio announcer who calls the Pro bending games. All to give you the feel of that time period. Baseball games were announced over the radio just like that back in those days...very campy...peppy.

actually, so far, I don't know what Amon has done "legally" to get arrested. He kidnapped Lightning Bolt Zolt and his henchman(Bolin included) but they were likely themselves suppose to be behind bars and taking their bending away did the city a favor, plus, as any mob gang will tell you, you can't pin the crime on the big boss man. and I doubt they have RICO laws yet. Also, no cops were at the peaceful rally to corroborate. remember this is suppose to be 20's time period....they have duels to settle things....we had duels once upon a time to settle things lol. point being, I'd suspect arrests are used a little more judicially than you'd see in today's day.

KaijinGarou
>>148896477

That's not gonna cut it. They surely have dozens of testimonies, including civilians like Bolin and the Avatar herself who had to fight several of his henchmen? Makes no sense. They have every right to just show up at Amon's front door and arrest him. That's no legal revolution and they know well and have more than enough proof to process them.

Graham

Mako is approaching this all wrong, he clearly has feelings for both women, he essentially said as much to Bolin. He should be trying to help Asami and Korra get along well. Like really well. But that takes a finesse GOD. And from what I’ve seen so far that ain’t Mako.

Patrick Wotton

Again, just know that storylines were being pumped out quick because they didn't know they were going to have a season 2 when they were writing. Also, it doesn't always have to end up in main characters being couples.

Graham
>>148896477

The Avatar is pretty much a deputized law enforcement officer, her word alone is given like, universal significance due to her position. Amon attacking her and her testimony of such is more than enough for an investigation and arrest. Also, and this should be obvious, but large scale vigilante activity, like kidnapping a bunch of mobsters, is SUPER ILLEGAL and obviously going to be a high priority for police, who’s main thing is maintaining a monopoly on violence in an enforcement context.

KaijinGarou
>>148896477

Exactly. I'd normally side with Tenzin but I don't know where his head is at here. He's treating this like Amon is out there making peaceful protests on the streets and Tarlok making surreal requests when that's not what's going on at all and there's evidence 🤣

Cola

Bolin was there. He saw Mako rejecting Korra, and he took advantage of that by asking her on a date. That's why he is sorry, just kidding... I think it's all Pabu's fault. I can't believe you missed that.

Edmon

Is just like the avatar to just kiss someone when they say they're confused 💀

Yashu

It was Korra's fault for hearting Bolin's feeeling, like c'mon, Mako didn't do shit

J-or-Dan
>>148896477

It depends on what the task force does because Tarlok phrased it as the task force is after Amon and non-benders in a city where the gangs are primarily benders, so its a very bad look that this taskforce is mobilized to get they man who did a "good thing". We as the audience know he's not an angel but to the people in universe its 50/50 feelings about Amon

Douglas Kelley

Of course Carlie didn’t like the romance in ATLA, she wanted Zuko and Katara to be together. Also, Mako did nothing wrong. Korra came on to him and ignored what she was doing to Bolin. Mako went to talk to her to work it out because they had a match to play…

CK12341
>>148952662

its both mako and korra lol??? Korra for being insensitive to Bolins feeling and Mako's jealousy led him to engage in that kiss and confession to Korra. if this is really going over peoples heads, I dont know what to say, other than I have a sneaking suspicion as to why people would blame Korra over Mako, but I'll hold my tongue.

CK12341

All I say is there is some odd and sus takes in these comments over the Korra, Bolin, Mako triangle. Also, let them watch the show and come to their own conclusions. Stop getting so defensive over fictional characters and trying to sway them to view it only in the way you do lol.

Mathies

in my honest opinion the one who's in a relationship already going up to someone else telling them they like them is the first to blame. also its funny how you guys didnt say justice for Asami, even though she's more committed to Mako than Bolin was to Korra lol

Mathies
>>148986164

what are you talking about he couldve handles it way better lol. like why is he confessing his feelings while dating someone

Mathies
>>148896477

even though arresting him would be righteous from his kidnappings, Amon's clearly got a big following, and the point he's making about injustice by benders for a lot of people in the city is more important than the way he goes about fighting it. so yeah, that move would in fact divide benders and nonbenders

Angelo Burton

😅 just here for the comments. Great reaction!

Joshua Wadcock

The episodes I began to despise Mako and love Asami. My feelings never changed, Mako was just a bad character/person in general.

Susan Beasley

My general opinion is that the romances in this show were unnecessary and poorly thought out on the writing side. The sloppy character work is what really makes me not care for TLOK. If they had just left the soap opera shit out of it, the whole experience would be much stronger. But, for what it's worth. A DATE is not DATING. Korra could have handled the situation better, but she was not under any obligation to Bolin. I love thw guy, but his feelings weren't THAT deep and they had literally had a single date. That's all. No real leading on even had time to happen.
