So when the Dog Chief speaks he says "wan" at the end of his sentences, which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a dog's bark, hence the "woof" in the subtitles.

The plot is thickening indeed so make sure you guys pay extra attention to the subtitles in next few episodes haha. We're finally getting to the juicy parts of the show and I can't WAIT!

I think the MVP/My Hero segment should be open to both heroes and villains imo if you're talking about "heroic" characters that also impact the story narratively ,and you'll see why as the story progresses. That said, Iida deserved mvp for ep 18, the boy made a bad choice but then learnt from his mistake and decided to keep his scars from the battle as a self-reminder to better himself. That's heroic enough to win him a 'my hero' award in my book :D

I would caution against a rule that precludes villains from the MVP vote - further on there will be episodes that are entirely focused on villains.

I think "Hero of the Episode" can be a villain as well. I know it sounds stupid to say Stain was the "Hero" of the episode, but he added more value to the episode than anyone else to push the story forward. Maybe you can rename it to Hero/Villain of the episode, and then select only one character in each episode (you don't need to select two). But it's up to you, I'm ok with the current way as well :)

I would support the MVP being the one who stood out most and had the greatest impact in the episode, but it's your reaction, so do what you prefer! I don't think you should listen to the audience unless it jives with you.

Someone already pointed out that wan is woof in Japanese, kero is ribbit! Someone having a dog quirk brings up so many questions to me lol. How does it feel to see other people walking dogs then? I imagine it must be weird and people probably treat him more like a dog than a person.

This was the episode that I knew I would forever love Shoto as a character. He started off so serious & aloof, but had such a heart wrenching back story! The emergence of his air-headed moments is what keeps me loyal!

Great reaction. Why not have a My Hero and a My Villain for each episode since it seems to be opening up on both sides? The best of the best and the worst of the worst; could lead to some more fun discussions. Cheers!

I think you should change it to “most impactful person” or like the person who had the most impact, that way you can incorporate heroes and villains
