3 episodes drop, such a beautiful sight! We appreciate all the work you put in <3

Meg

Ahhh I've been patiently waiting for this while rewatching you guys' FMA:B reactions hahaha! 😍

Maya Coleman

Yess I have been waiting on this 🙌 ❤️

Meg

Ep 19 is an anime original if I remember right. Also Selkie's VA is not Tengen but Panda from JJK. They sound kinda similar at times so I too was confused at first lol

CastSenpai

Idk why but I have always lowkey thought Sero had the best hero costume, along with Bakugo. Dude is underrated, he's damn good for being a human tape dispenser. Respect on his name 😤

Meg

Shigaraki is not All For One's (AFO) brother btw. Just clearing that up xD And don't worry, you'll get more info about AFO and One For All (OFA) in later episodes. They'll revisit the lore a couple times so it's ok if you don't understand everything right away.

Danny C

Not a spoiler, but just to clarify: All for one and his younger brother were born many many years ago. All for one’s quirk is able to steal and give quirks, so in order to give a quirk to someone, he has to steal it first. All might is very far down the succession of One for All, so these events are from back in the past. Shigaraki, is likely in his early 20s here, based on the police investigation at the start of the season. I won’t say anymore, since it could potentially lead to spoilers, but this should clear things up from episode 20

spring deerling

AFO has been around for well over a hundred years, shiggy is 21 and is not the same as the first OFA user

Aizensalami

It seems that people clarified it already, but just to recap the origin story: All For One's younger brother was thought to be quickness but he actually had the quirk to pass on quirks to others (just like how All might did to Deku). I mean, obviously you would see him as quirkless if that was his only quirk because he has nothing to "pass on"... but once he received the other quirk from his older brother (the quirk to stock power), he now became able to pass on something. So he passed on this combination of quirks (the quirk to pass on quirks + the quirk to stock power), which is called "One for All", the new holders kept failing to beat All for One until All Might's generation came. They mentioned earlier in the series that All Might is the 8th holder of One for All, so this origin story was 8 generations ago, it's not Shigaraki XD. EP20 MVP should be All Might. His delivery of the origin story was brilliant! EP21 MVP can be either Aizawa, or Yaomomo for opening the hall and being bouncy XD

idk

Shigaraki has nothing to do with the AFO story. They’re not related at all. AFO had a brother who he thought was quirkless and gave him a quirk which made the brothers quirk stronger and he used it to make OFA and passed it down generations which now deku has it. That’s how I interpreted it, if I made a mistake pls correct me guys :)

Meg

Ep 21: Shoto and Momo pairing for the fight is a necessary plot point for a few episodes in the future, and you guys will love their fight with Aizawa. Same with Bakugo and Deku. That said, it's not really a ship setup. I mean, there are fans who ship Shoto with Momo lol but canonically there are very few (albeit unconfirmed) ships setup in MHA and Shoto/Momo is not one of them. I'm very excited to see your reactions to their individual developments in the series because it is quite epic! Especially with Shoto. Without spoiling too much, he's a key player in this show :D

Meg

The way Ange sulked when Carlie likened him to Mineta hahahah that was funny but a low blow on Carlie's part xDDD Poor Ange. I voted for Jirou (Earphone Jack) to get MVP for EP 20, Mineta definitely deserved to have his eyes poked out for that peeping attempt xDD

Meg

I too love these academy training episodes much more in the earlier seasons. Something about seeing the class train and bond and get stronger in the process really get me hyped up, plus they work as a really good foundation for the episodes with the villain attacks as well, it's like getting to see them put the skills they learn at school to practice in the real world. I also think it is because this show portrays the growing friendship between all of class 1-A in a really good way so we also get invested in their friendship. One of my favourite things about MHA for sure!

I don't think AFO necessarily needs to steal a quirk to give it away, he could conceivably give away his quirk stealing quirk, but why would he want to? (and yes this conversation could go into spoilers on a response, please avoid)

Danny C
>>150481040

A very niche situation, sure, but for the purposes of the story and what is happening on screen, yes, he needs to take/store a quirk to then pass on/give a quirk. He can’t generate quriks

zdravko georgiev

To clarify some things that are probably misunderstood. Shigaraki is not All for one's brother. All for one's brother is the first wielder of One for All that passed the quirk to the next ones and eventually All Might and Midoriya

Ethan J Soto
>>150479761

Yeah, honestly he's upbeat for his situation, and made a lot of progress. If I was in this world, and I was born with a quirk that dispenses tape from my elbows - I'd probably give up and be an office worker lmao

LookingForOwls

Really glad we're past the point where Deku is destroying himself in nearly every fight just to land a punch - next season is when things really start to heat up!

FTN Chicken

I will never argue against Earphone Jack winning MVP XD

danni

Im glad yall like the school stuff bc i think a lot of people issue with the show IS the school stuff. They want the more darker things like stain and future villains, but thats why I really think yall will keep liking this story!

ViperBreeze

Selkie doesn’t have the same VA as Tengen, but his VA is also the voice of the wind hashira, Shinazugawa, and Panda from JJK. Edit: just made it to the end and saw Ange Googled and found out 😂

MJAnime
>>150484924

You could let them hope and dream like everyone else that got to watch it for themselves instead of telling or implying who do or do not get together.

Shawn Stetson

Ange got it right. Afo is an immortal he and his brother were born well over 100 years ago shigarki is 20. afos brother looks alot like shigiraki so it's a little confusing at first.

Meg
>>150484924

I'm not stopping them from hoping and dreaming anything. That's the beauty of shipping. They are free to ship whoever regardless of what's canon and what's not, and me saying ShoMomo wasn't paired as a ship in THAT episode is not going to crush their dreams in anyway. Relax a little.

Luís

Let me see if I got that right: Mineta passes the exam if the handcuffs Midnight? 🤔

ImZeaT
>>150484924

"there are fans" is the understatement of the century 😂

ImZeaT

Happy to see you are (as 90% of the fans are) on the Shoto & Momo bandwagon 😂

Meg
>>150477934

I can't believe I didn't recognize Sanemi's voice haha!

Stef

To Cementoss's defense, putting those walls up between Deku and Todoroki in the tournament made that last explosion even more spectacular

Addstir

Gonna leave this comment here and on the YouTube version: Make sure you watch the first movie (Two Heroes) BEFORE season 3, it chronologically takes place between seasons 2 and 3. The next two movies aren't until the end of season 5, so you needn't worry about those for now. The movies are all canon, TECHNICALLY they're not needed, but they are anime-canon, and they're PEAK, if Ange reads this, as a comparison for how peak they are would be of all the OG DBZ movies, they'd be the Broly movie! But yeah, worst case you can slip the movie in later if you can't do it soon, it won't be the end of the world if you don't watch it chronologically, but it will make less sense if you don't~

Shaw

Yoooooo! Mineta is my inner demon!!! Let's goo!!!!

The Great Santini
>>150585457

There's no shot that ONE movie is canon (you know the one I'm talking about I think it was the 2nd one)... how could it be? The events of it are never mentioned going forward...

The Great Santini
>>150502814

The school stuff is what gives the show heart. The only time it wasn't great was during season 5 because of production issues.

Lio

Honestly one thing that can never be criticised about MHA is how Horikoshi managed to create an entire class of unique characters, who are all somewhat interesting and lovable and Mineta too.

Hoa Trương
>>150585457

it's canon bro. All of the movie is. Deku and All Might gadgets he use during ss6 is made by the character in the movie. They even appear in the last season

Meg
>>150585457

I was just thinking of asking C&A if they would be interesting in reacting to the movies too and if so to do it in between the seasons so that they can get the full true experience of enjoying the movies along-side the anime narrative. Thank you for bringing this up as well! <3

LuciusArtoriusCastus

How did y'all get to the conclusion that Shigaraki was involved in the creation of One For All 🤣

Alexandre LE

Clarifications: - All for One thought his brother was Quirkless. But he just had a "useless" Quirk: the Quirk "to pass his Quirk to other". So basically, a useless quirk. Combined with the Quirk to accumulate energy (thanks to All for One gift), it became the useful Quirk called One for All. - Shimura is the 7th holder. - All Might is the 8th. - Deku, the 9th.
