Meg

I have literally been counting down the SECONDS for this hahaha (jk but not really). Can't believe we're at season 2 finale already!!

MrWell

Weekly MHA package received, my day is complete.

원 지

S3 really peak get ready!

Zel

Thank You!!! ❤ But, don't forget to watch anime wind breaker, too 🤣

Meg

Your reactions to Ep 24 was EVERYTHING that I had hoped for. You guys caught on to exactly what the episode was trying to say. Season 2 has a lot of peak moments and ep 24 is easily in the top three for me, Katsuki Bakugo's origin put so many things into perspective about him as a character and I love that they wrote him into an episode with both Deku and All Might and made it a battle of sorts, cos that's the best way to narrate Bakugo's character lol. Not sure if you caught it but up until Deku punched him, Bakugo was set on his prideful thinking that he will win against All Might just by himself and without using Deku, and it was after Deku yelled at him saying "don't YOU talk about losing" that Bakugo changed his strategy to a compromise but without letting go of his pride, which is that he will still fight All Might and not just run away. I LOVE that so much! It's like Ange said, with Bakugo's character his pivotal points in the story need to be gentle and not jarring for it to make sense. 100% agreed on Bakugo being the mvp of ep 24. And don't worry, you guys will see cute Bakugo in the future eps haha!

Jay rellim

if the parents saw what all might did to those kids he'd be cancelled lmao

Paqi

This is how I remember the difference between All for One and One for All. I ask myself, who is this power *for*? All for One, selfish, bad guy One for All, for everyone, good guy

Cap

All for One and One for All are confusing. What I do is only shorten the bad one since that's also his name. Afo is what I call him and when talking about the good one I say One for All in it's entirety. Helps me distinguish the two better

Meg

Ep 25: I'm just like Carlie, tearing up every time I see All Might and Deku wholesome moments T^T. I love every episode that shows Deku-Shiggy (Shigaraki) interactions and/or parallels. Shiggy is my favourite villain from this show. The writing is SO GOOD! This episode I love how we see Shiggy now get a proper conviction as opposed to acting like a generic villain up until this point, and the same time we see Deku realizing that the hero he idolizes has also faced 'failures' in not being able to save everyone. That shift is important to both of them and I love how the author wrote that into what is otherwise a very laidback episode. Next season is going to be sooo good and I'm so so excited for you guys' reaction to it, plus the first movie! I'm happy you guys are considering the villains also for the MVP slot. It just makes more sense to do it that way give how this show is haha. Thank you so much once again for these reactions and looking forward to the movie next!

Also a "wet blanket" is a party pooper, downer, buzzkill, killjoy, etc.

# vivi

I know you guys were originally told some seasons weren’t very hype but i honestly disagree!! i’m so excited for s3 and every season after it’s crazy xD and ofc the movies!! also looove the discussion for bkg in ep 24, his character development is gentle, as you put it, but very well done. Hori is a phenomenal story teller ^_^

CosmoNeto140

The movies + filler are cannon. Eg anime only characters are retroactively put in the manga (the entire froppy ep cast). The movies are not 100% necessary because they are written like bottle episodes but there are details that are more enjoyable in the anime because of references to movies. Especially in later seasons.

CosmoNeto140
>>151754887

Also there is an episode randomly placed in the the middle of season 3 (20 or 21 I believe) that serves as set up for movie 1 despite it being set after season 2. Functionally an OVA. The same happens slightly loser in season 5 for movie 3 but don't worry about that yet.

Tae Kellz

Ive been following you guys for over a year now and ill have to say, ive never seen Carlie so emotional for an anime where almost every episode she cries and im here for it lol. My hero is fantastic and i can't wait for you to catch up to all of us. Amazing reaction as always!

Bradalz

the next season is probs my no. 1 cant wait for you guys to see it

Victor Rikaza

Even if Sparking Zero is out, i'm gonna watch those two full reactions before.

Abner_. Silveira

Something I've noticed from rewatching this show a million times is just how annoying deku is from bakugos perspective. Deku knows dang well better than anyone else what annoys bakugo yet he continues to act the same way. Like when he's so focused on running away and tries to make bakugo do the same. Like bruh you know this man would never do that but yet you still keep nagging him throughout the test. Even things like Deku saying that Bakugo yelling all the time is the reason they never can communicate, but then also interjecting his own opinion every time bakugo tries to speak "b-but you can't do that all might is unbeatable". Obviously bakugo isn't perfect but this isn't completely one sided imo. Deku could have definitely gone about talking to him another way and bakugo needs to control his pride a little 🤏

Aizensalami

EP24 was amazing! All Might was beating them but he clearly let them win, and he was not hitting them with everything, otherwise their bodies will smash (pun intended). Loved the New Hampshire smash by the way, that was a new one XD.

Hoa Trương

i would actually prefer them to go straight to ss3 rather than the movie honestly. Since it's not relevant at all.

Michael m

watch the dub trust me

Jay rellim

now that i think about it, most of s3 ep 1 is filler.. maybe yall should skip that? pls correct me if im wrong

CosmoNeto140
>>151773316

Nah its fun class shenanigans, with a little recap, the thing people could skip is the “memories” Eps of season 7 as its 100% reused shots for recap.

Chris Mullen

Season 3 hype! In my opinion it's the best Season of the show, though I have a few in the current season to catch up on.

ImZeaT

If you think that them not being able to work well together is not Deku's fault and 100% Bakugo's, I genuinely believe you missed the point of the episode by a long shot. I encourage you to look at @Abner_.Silveira's comment underneath this post, that perfectly summarizes what was being conveyed.

Kfir shaltiel

Carlie back again with the questionable ships lately

Boli

Glad to see the best ship is recognized here. All might x deku's mom <3

Xaniss
>>151769663

Only for one small reason which the show kinda explains anyway

Xaniss

Remember, watch and enjoy the movie all you like... but it doesn't really matter in terms of long term story, just bonus content.

But why does Deku need to stifle himself to appease Bakugo? Why does Deku need to be the one to constantly figure out how to navigate his relationship w Bakugo when he’s the one who has been constantly bullied and harassed by this kid? I’ve never found any reason (at this point of the series) to like Bakugo or even entertain why he might dislike Deku. Deku may not have had the best strategy but if Bakugo just communicated in a nonviolent way then it could’ve turned out better for both of them early on. Just saying I feel like Bakugo gets cut too much slack in these earlier seasons bc he is 100% the asshole in most of these situations

KIMI

I’m really stoked for y’all to react to the movies! They’re peak fr especially the first 2.

Bourbon

i think Shigaraki deserved the MVP

Abner_. Silveira
>>151760949

Its not even just to please bakugo, deku could use with being less emotional in general period. I hear you and while I still think bakugo is mostly to blame, you gotta look at it from his eyes as well. From the beginning of the show we're made to empathise completely with deku and not at as much with bakugo (intentionally), its not like bakugo has had it all easy either. But you would think after all these years deku would realise how to actually talk to bakugo effectively. Hell, kirishima figured it out in like 10 episodes? But nope, he yaps about how they can't beat all might because he's a God in his eyes without actually caring for what bakugo has in mind. When deku does do that bakugo pretty quickly tells him his plan and why running away is flat out stupid. Imo it's like 75% bakugos issue and 25% deku

KIMI
>>151760949

I think blaming Deku for not really being able to communicate with someone who has basically terrorized him for being quirkless yet still wanting to be a hero is unreasonable. Bakugo has had it easy tho lol he has a completely normal home life and has been praised his entire life. One of Bakugo's major faults that's addressed much later is his inferiority complex towards Deku. Bakugo is also really unlikable lol If you knew any person that is as abrasive as Bakugo (remember that he isn't just like that w Deku but literally everyone else) you wouldn't like him either but I will agree on your allocation of fault between the twi

Ty MR

Hey Carlie and Ange just finally subbed on the Patreon a few days ago and been loving all the content and would love to recommend (whenever you guys get a break from all these new anime on the schedule) The Office I think you guys would love the awkward humor in it anyways much love regardless!

Ethan Garn

I one hundred percent think shiggy deserves the mvp for 5. It's close between him and deku. But this is the first bit of character development we see shiggy get.

Krokus

Here's a little thing you can keep in mind with the names. "All For One" = Selfish use of power. Everyone's power taken and used *for one* "One For All" = Selfless use of power. One's power used *for all*

Zel

Can't wait for the first movie🥰

V STAN

I'm so excited for the first movie reaction!!!
