Thanks for the extra! 🙌

Woody G

thank god for the extra this is where this season takes off

Simone

we know u guys are probably really busy so thanks a ton <3 PS. this gives us a hint at how old the lion turtles actually are.. Raava said that her and Vaatu have been fighting since the beginning of time, yet she called the lion turtle "ancient one", pretty cool imo

Jeron Edwards

Don't know if you read these but the animation will return to the original animation studio starting episode 10 of season 2. Episodes 7 and 8 were done by the original animators as well. Episodes 1 through 6, and 9 were animated by a different studio which is why the animation hasn't been up to par.

Maya Coleman

Thanks for the extra episode you guys are amazing 👏 🤩

Tonis Tarc

So happy you got to The Best part of The season! Also super glad you uploaded 3 eps, thank you guys❤️

Mr Krabs

unalaq can enter the spirit world remember at the beginning of the season, korra opened the spirit portal so unalaq could enter

Simone

so regarding the art style, and i might not be 100% right: the usual studio was busy so they got a different place to animate s2, but then the original studio came back for these 2 episodes, as well as for the rest of the series thank goodness (besides episode 2x09, that one is still the other animators), so don't worry u guys are almost back to our characters looking normal lol and yea i think they deliberately made these 2 episodes look different to match the time/era when it took place, it looked amazing can't wait for you guys to see the rest of s2, it picks up the pace a lot from now on, then on to the goated season 3

Amit

Korra opened the spirit portal in epsode 2, thats why unalaq can go in

josue

i love how they mention it took avatar Wan about a year to master the elements. it calls back to season 1 ep 8 of The Last Airbender when Aang wasn't sure he could master the elements in time. Roku says, "I know you can do it Aang, for you have done it before."

Matthew Clark

Love the reactions! Can’t wait for more Korra! Book 3 is my fave! The situation with the animation was caused by a change in animation studio for the beginning of Book 2. Beginnings and everything after Episode 10 of Book 2 through the end of the series will be back to the original animation studio from Book 1. You can definitely tell there is an upgrade starting with Episode 10, only episode 9 of the other studio to get through!

Jesus Rocha

Also if you notice, the order of the Lion Turtles giving Wan the power of the elements it’s the same order the Avatar is reincarnated. Fire, Air, Water and Eart. Now we know why is that specific order but I’m sure guys caught that 😅.

LookingForOwls

Seemed like you guys forgot that Korra had already opened one of the portals? That was the one that Unalaq had walked through. They also specified that you need to go through the portals to "physically" enter the spirit world. If you remember the original series, Aang couldn't bend when he was in the spirit world, because his physical body wasn't there.

I'm being well fed

Yeah so about the comments you made in the last episode about the creators learning from the fan feedback that they hated the love triangle stuff in season 1. I was anticipating this reaction. I also didn't wanna spoil anything because you hadn't seen it yet. I think the love triangle stuff is handled even worse in book 2. I really hated that they leaned even more into it here. And yeah whoever told you the romance bullshit was confined to season 1 did you dirty

Naqib _

Carlie was hilarious in the beginnings episodes. Raava X the Avatar is the one true ship of this series 😂 And the guy who was half tree getting turned into firewood 😂😂😂 Also I think you guys might have forgot that Unalaq made Korra open the spirit portal in the south pole in the beginning of the season. That's why he could pass through it now to enter the spirit world. The portal was closed by Wan 10000 years ago as we see in the Wan episodes.

RationallySassy

Great reaction! I will say Wan wasn't 'cleansed' or anything by the oasis, he was already a friend and kind to animals so not much of a stretch that he was kind to the spirits and animals in the wilds.

Alexis

I was waiting for ep. 7-8, thanks! Ange remembering ‘harmonic convergence’ but couldn’t fully recall ‘Raava’ 😅😅

A PSA for the next few episodes keep the tissues close by

deny

from ep 10 im pretty sure the animation is back to normal and amazing, and the s2 finale is so good, AND THEN THE EPIC SEASON 3, its just so good

Sintara

Wan didn't really change personality wise. The very first scene is him putting himself in harms way to help feed his friends, and then to give up his share to feed some random wild animals. That's the heart that made him save Mula (the cat dear) and that the spirits saw in him. Btw Mula is to Wan what Appa is to Aang, Naga to Korra and Fang to Roku, his animal guide.

Jeff

i want them to react to hazbin hotel so bad its cartoon too like TLOK

kind of yes of it has musicals too check the trailers they have very fun characters like really good ones

Eric H

These are two of my favorite episodes, even among my faves from ATLA itself.

nezudev

You were correct about your assumption about why the animation was off this season. I believe they underwent a studio change, outsourcing instead of creating animations in house and also a budgetary/time constraint placed by nickelodian.

Mesa

i would never have thought there could be a ship between raava and wan, now i can't unsee it

deny

i just know CARLIE is gonna ENJOY.. the second part of season 2., ifykyk

Dune

These are definitely my 2 favorite episodes of the season. Giving you the backstory of how the elements were first introduced to humans, why the nations and separation exist and how the avatar state was created. So now when you look back on it I think the avatar can take away bending because of how in tune they are(or should be with the spirits) since lion turtles can naturally take the elements back.

What even is the point of this comment except spoiling characters? Also i don't think you understand what "favorite" means.

MeL

Mako breaking the rules to help Asami's company but was against breaking the rules to help Korra's family and aid in the civil war will forever be funny to me LMAO

I know this reaction was from weeks ago now, but personally I found these episodes to be pretty weak. This is not necessarily because of us finding out how the first Avatar came to be, but rather because there were elements of the back story that were confusing and it felt like the story was missing some crucial pieces. The execution didn't land for me. Raava states that she can't stay in Wan's body or it can be detrimental, but all it took was Wan touching a light beam that he has no idea will do absolutely anything and now him and Raava are bonded forever. Seems all too convenient for it to occur this way. All we can deduce about Harmonic Convergence is that it occurs every 10000 years, it's a battle between Vaatu and Raava, that the two spirit portals combine, and it presumably increases spiritual energy. None of these aspects would ever lead us to understand why Raava and Wan were able to merge forever or why Raava is able to reincarnate through more humans. For these reasons, I think that the back story of the Avatar could have been a lot more comprehensive and we can only make assumptions on why this was even possible.

Romang

CARLIE u are so real for shipping wan and raava

ofc they are always haters like u who cant even say why its bad, u just sad atla is over lmao.. and they liked the finale
