Theres also a theory that the old firebender lady in the current time that gave Korra the airbison is actually Azula, but it has never been confirmed and is just a fan theory

You guys are definitely asking the right questions about why he would want to free vatuu, love the reactions as always!

Orochimaru has a giant snake 😳

So now I'll add a bunch of easter eggs: 1. The lion turtles gave people the elements but dragons, air bisons, the moon and badger moles are what taught people how to bend the elements properly. 2. Wan means ten thousand in chinese and he's voiced by Steven Yeun from The walking dead (if you've seen that show). 3. The order in which Wan receives the elements is the order of the avatar cycle: fire, air, water, earth. 4. Harmonic convergence is when the sprititual and physical realms become one for a brief period. When Wan touched it his physical self fused with Rava's spirit. 5. Wan learned all 4 bending in less than a year. When Aang first met Roku at the fire temple and he told him he had to master all 4 bending in less than a year (before next solstice) and then Aang said he's not sure if he could do it, Roku replied with something like - you can because you've done it before.

Oh no I lost it at "did they use him for fire wood?" WTF lmao

Are you guys going to be reacting to re zero season 3?

fr0st

You're seeing why season 2 is considered the weakest one aside from this two parter, which is universally loved because of all the lore. The next seasons are better than this one so hang in there!

Jonathan Reynolds

The Hot Spring is NOT the same one where Yue died, that was at the North Pole, which is very cold...This one was in the middle of a rather lush area

JulianZ

Another Easter egg is the battle field that avatar Wan died on is the same battle field from the episode zuko alone. If you google it you can find the side by side

Lucas Barros

The difference in animation is due to another studio doing the first 6 episodes. The original studio was busy with other projects at the time. From episode 7 onward, the old studio took over.

So I would rather characterize Wan before he was banished as a Robin hood rather than a Jet type of character. Jet issue was that he brought the people he was supposed to be fighting for down with him. Wan was a selfless person who tried stealing from the rich and even if he didnt actually get anything from it, would share his measly crumbs with animals rather than keep himself fed. I dont think he had a big changing moment where he became more selfless and caring. His arc was more about 1. unlearning biases and ignorance about spirits, and becoming their friend, and 2. finding a cause to fight for

Mathies

remember that Korra already did open the southern portal. thats how Unalaq was able to pass through it

Arrow

I don't know if you guys noticed but like every avatar that has had a life long companion Roku being his dragon, Aang with appa and Korra with naga, Wan also had one n it was the "cat deer" 😂he freed that he was riding so I think it's awesome that it started from the very first avatar.

NovaVortex

@12:28 too bad he can't dial 9 Juan Wan 🙈
