Mango

Simone

time for PEAK tlok

Bill0g

Best season!!

Woody G

Greatness

Simone

about Zaheer being good at airbending already.. he mentioned Guru Laghima and some airbending things so he has probably studied airbending forms, nomads, etc a lot in the past. And like Ange said he most likely already has a background in martial arts or sth similar.. i mean look at the prison where they kept a NON bender, so he's gotta be dangerous

K

Plus, take note of the prison he was in. That’s not an ordinary prison. And he was a nonbender. He had to be slick with it.

Maya Coleman

Why are you guys always in denial of everything first it was amon taking bending away now it is about people who are doing airbending lol 😂

Simone

breakdown on the bad guys' bending: Zaheer - new airbender Ghazan - earth bender (he was in a wooden prison on water), he rubs the rocks against each other super fast = magma/lava Ming Hua - water bender (in a fire-y prison), don't know if u guys noticed but she doesn't have arms. 4th person - to be introduced

deny

they got airbending cuz the harmonic convergence is all about balance, and since there are many benders of all nations, the portals being open while harmonic convergence, it made the bending balanced by giving non benders airbending

deny

also idk if u noticed the water arm lady, didnt have arms before waterbending

deny
>>156102862

I SAID THE SAME THING MAN, why they always denying everything 😭

Angelo Burton

Fun fact: older Zuko doesn’t just resemble Roku, they share the same voice actor! This season is a ride!

Amit

Ming Hua(water arm lady) shares the same VA as Azula

Jeron Edwards

Books 3&4 are different animals they are so good 💯

lilcig

holy fuck season 3 is so epic

Condor7215

Zuko is technically retired.

Kfir shaltiel

I have to say, Ange's hair looks really good

Yashu

I dont think you noticed, but the water bender girl form the evil team has no arm's lol This team has some insane people- she has no arms and still is amongst the most dangerous benders in the world, Zaheer just got air bending and is slick with it, and i dont wanna explain what the other guy ability is coz it's kinda spoiler but he has some super rare power too!

Martin Beckerle

FUN FACT: In ATLA Zuko and Aang visit the masters, while there Zuko says the golden egg feels alive, and that golden egg is baby Druk. Druk is Zuko's Dragon you see in Legend of Korra. It is the baby of Ran and Shaw. :)

Gabriel Barott

The cause of said airbending may be unnatural, as these new benders weren't born with it, but I don't think that changes anything really (imo). In essence, if airbending is the ability to bend air, I personally don't see it as consequential that the bending was obtained via Harmonic Convergence/Spirit Portals being opened.

LookingForOwls

We did see a woman with airbending, it was the one that Tenzin tried to convince with the clothes argument.

Amir Shipp

Molten rocks outside of the Earth's crust is called "lava".

Amir Shipp
>>156099483

This is the one, Zaherr was a threat to master benders before he even got bending.

Red Division

Small nitpick, but " rubs the rocks against each other" isn't a fitting description. I think he can just naturally heats up the rocks into lava, just how waterbender can turn their water into ice naturally.

Nate Terry

Unpopular Opinion: I'm with President Raiko on this one. Korra is NOT an official authority to any ONE group or people. the Avatar is respected yes, but She, nor any other Avatar could command a nation or people unless they used force to get them to comply. Imagine if in your community, a 3rd party person that didn't even live in your community, released thousands of dangerous and deadly animals or animals that threw the local ecosystem out of wack? you can't hold that person responsible....they aren't apart of your government....and you don't know if you government will be able to hold the 3rd party accountable either... Korra doesn't get to be upset at Raiko or the ppl for being frustrated or upset with her.....let alone try and convince anybody that that was the right decision....DOES ANYBODY REMEMBER KOH THE FACE STEALER? how can she justify allowing that to lurk in the shadows stealing your children's faces? or the scorpion spider spirit that take ppl to the FOG OF LOST SOULS! she is out of her mind! frankly, Raiko has grounds to charge her with crimes against humanity if anybody gets killed or maimed for allowing the portals to stay open! just saying....lol

AK

Zaheer: Airbender who used to be a non bender but good martial artist Ghazan: Earthbender who can also lava bend (lava is basically melted/liquid rock) Ming-Hua: Armless water bender who uses water as her arms (who also has the same voice actor ad Azula) 4th person - TBA

Dune

My own head theory about why harmonic convergence made more airbenders was because it's all about balance. There's so few airbenders compared to the rest of the elements so it decided to tip the scales and balance things out. That's what I'd like to believe anyway.

Don't worry you're definitely not the first/the person to create this theory lmao has been the fan canon for about a decade now.

Yeah, the political concerns of Raiko are actually pretty reasonable in terms of real world implications. The show kinda just handwaves the spirit issue away by not ever depicting truly dangerous spirits in the physical world. Like Koh for whatever reason just prefers to hang out in its creepy domain. It does make sense though that some spirits would prefer their native ecology over life in the new spirit wild, it’s just too convenient by half that all the dangerous spirits do.

Graham
>>156099483

There’s a theory about Zaheer’s abilities and study of Airbending forms and philosophy that I quite like, but it’s def a spoiler until like episode 7 or 8 or something. I’ll be interested in seeing what they come up. Their thoughts always zig when I expect them to zag, like with them being so certain the airbending isn’t “real,” makes for entertaining discussions.

Graham

Zaheer is him.

Nate Terry

Koh has enter the physical world to take faces. and at one point, he enters the physical world and takes the face of Avatar Kurik's love. Hebei moved between worlds as he saw fit, and would lose his temper and kidnap random innocent ppl for something other ppl did to the forest....plenty of examples of dangerous spirits.

Bending the elements is just a manifestation of bending the spiritual energy inside yourself. the lion turtles unblocked the chakra on your forehead allowing you to access it. not everybody got their chakra unblocked, so winding down the generations, it's quite random who has it and who doesn't. Harmonic Convergence (the giant purple hue enveloping the entire planet) shifted the spiritual energy. including human's spiritual energy...unblocking the chakra to air bend for some ppl(think of it like a shaking skillet full of food and everything shifting to balance out flat on the bottom) That's my take anyhow. lol
