Bro, I love so much of this season. The finale is gonna go so hard. Hands down one of the best episodes of the series featuring the best written character in the series.

season 4 plot is good but anime is rushed (i dunno who's stupid idea was to put 2 brilliant arcs and mash them into one season resulting in both being rushed and looking sloppy) and reason why many complain about it is heavy censorship that kind of ruined few moments (and again, rushed pacing)

which is kinda sad because the first half (basically 1st out of 2 arcs they try to mash together in one season) has lots of my favorite things in MHA. My favorite villain is from 1st half of this season, my favorite student has some of the best moments, some of my favorite characters of all anime gets introduced in this season... so there is lots of highs and good things in this season but anime kinda ruined lot of it for me

People saying that seasons 4 and 5 are bad typically only watch this show because they like action scenes. They’re necessary for the later seasons and great for character development and internal stories.

I've come to realize that most of the complaints people seem to have relate to pacing issues and how things are adopted from the manga. I suppose the pacing thing could be an issue if you were only watching one a week, but I don't see them having any issues with things. I think they are going to absolutely love this season.

Matching a lot of the sentiment on here. My all time favorite moments come from just this season alone. I rewatched the latter parts of this season after I finished Arcane S2, just to feel something again. So excited for when you guys get there.

Watching this again I realized: Yes, Sir Nighteye resembles Nanami (his serious mannerism but connected with some quirky humor, not to mention both wearing suits), so i can totally seeing him becoming one of your favorite characters. 😆

so no complain of the 1-A boys being sexualized? some grown up women reactors drool over Shoto on that particular scene 😁 a lot of anime with this trope, but people just hate MHA for doing this. even Dandadan sexualized boy and girl, mostly everyone just fine with it. But yeah I understand, people has different own opinion.

you're right, it's just way more common with the girls in this show. i know many animes have a lot of fanservice but since most of the mha main characters are children it's a lot worse. the scenes with midnight creeping on the underage boys make me cringe away from my screen :/

The fourth season of MHA is my second favourite season of the first six seasons of MHA. I watch every anime episode which I rate with its intro and its outro for otherwise I had not watched its entirety and thus would not be able to rate its entirety based on my experience.

lol, honestly I think MHA fans tend to be overly critical since the series started out so strong. Personally, S4 is my 2nd to last favorite arc if I were to rank them, but I still gave it an 8/10 lol. Not so great MHA still performs above average in comparison to other series out there. Putting personal preferences aside, S4 and S5 are usually called the weaker seasons, because of adaptation issues such as pacing and how content was handled. S5 especially butchered a pretty important arc (don't know if it's because they were making the movie at the same time, since the animation also took a dip in that season), so that left a lot of fans miffed.

sure, but it's written by an adult, produced by adults, and consumed by viewers of all ages. i know it's very common in anime for the female characters to be hypersexualized, but that doesn't mean it's ok, especially when it comes to underage characters. and i did actually stop watching the show, but i want to see carlie and ange's reactions to the storylines i was actually interested in
