Red Rioottttt!!!!!

Maya Coleman

You guys are so goated for this one 🐐❤️

Meg

Let's go let's go yay!! 😍 😍

Meg

That opening cover was everything Ange! Fun fact, the guy who voices Sir Nighteye is Roy Mustang's Japanese VA in Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. I know you guys watched the english dub but if you were ever curious as to how he sounds in Japanese, well now you know xD He's one of my OG fave VAs!

CastSenpai

This arc is legitimately one of my favorites, so good.

Mesha

LEMILLION RAHHHH

Maya Coleman

Carlie I am saying this with love but nanami is not always going to play a good guy so you need to let that image in your mine go because in this situation with overhaul it is not going to help and ange is right you need to let that go✌️❤️

Naqib _

I kinda agree with Carlie that I think Angie is trying a little too hard to give mvp to the villains. Deku stepped up to challenge a dangerous villain this episode to save a trembling child, he absolutely deserves mvp for episode 4

Aizensalami

FATTO! XD EP 4 MVP could be All Might, for ignoring Nighteye's advice to continue his duties as the symbol of peace, even if it means an ugly death to him. He also responded to Deku very well. But Overhaul is a good shout too :)

Tae Kellz

That boy Ange doesnt miss with these covers! Great work as always

Saucy Sawyer

always killing it with the covers ange!

Jay rellim

wow i forgot how hype this season is!!! i think i remember why ppl didnt like it (some peak moments dont get the animation they think it deserves, a few slow episodes), but the good moments are peak

Cornelius Ukena

an important note, nighteye’s foresight does not get less accurate the farther out it is. his foresight has actually *never* been wrong. the specific amount of time passed is what gets harder to determine. personally, i think miro deserves mvp for ep 4. i get it’s easy to see deku’s desire to save eri as the “right” choice, but miro had the presence of mind not to just pop off in the middle of a public space against a villian they don’t know much about. now that deku’s doing real hero work, he’s having to learn how complicated the world really is. miro was dialed into the big picture.

Danny C

“They’re gunna do something really cool with that” Oh Ange, you have no idea. Sick cover!

Krokus

Episode 4 MVP should go to someone else, in my opinion. Sure, he technically got what he wanted, but he also is responsible for losing track of that kid. The bladed villain from season 3 you guys were thinking of was called "Moonfish" and the blades were his teeth.

CauseBoxTurtles

Don't ya'll be laughing at my husbando Fat Gum 🤣 He is adorable and perfect and loves food 😂 #1 Bae

Maya Coleman

Mirio should have gotten mvp for episode 4 because during that whole situation with overhaul he saved deku from making a wrong move against overhaul so if it wasn't for mirio helping deku then deku would have been screwed and also in that situation mirio was the bigger person in that situation

I don't think there was any confusion with his power. The subtitle is pretty clear that only the timeframe get's less accurate

Waver

I understand why Ange wants to give villains the MVP. They're the only ones currently not scrambling to make a plan or even figure out what's going on. They have a plan and are actively achieving steps to complete it. The villains have also caught so many insane Ls by this point that they need SOMETHING at least lol. Mirio was definitely the MVP aside from the villains but as of now I think the villains are on top. I'd personally give it to Shigaraki in specific because this is his own planning. No daddy AfO to help him out anymore but he's still making big moves.

Cornelius Ukena
>>158660768

my clarification was in response to 23:57-24:31 during their discussion. ange explicitly bases his theory on foresight becoming less accurate the farther out it goes.

AngelFr0m Sky

Thanks for making a cover of my favorite op of my hero its so PEAK!!!

Smky_x3

Wow Kirishima really got hard there didnt he?🥵

Zayamad

The reason they explained "Team Up" is because they were using an English term when the show is in Japanese. It felt silly to you because you already know what it means when they say it in English.

Waver
>>158660768

Ange's point was based on Deku's involvment and NIghteye's shock at him choosing Deku which Nighteye should have known.

Cornelius Ukena
>>158660768

i don't really want to get in to a whole back and forth about details, just risks being spoilery. if there was no confusion than it's fine—the post isn't hurting anything. if there was, than it's just helpful. can just leave it at that.

Nessa.

Amajiki's voice actor voices another MC from another show, by the way. :) I'll let you guess it !

Rob V.

I love when they have the students show off what they've learned so far. Learning from each other, growing and getting better! But the stakes are also being raised and the villains aren't playing around!

yessi

As much as I agree with Deku wanting to save the girl ASAP Mirio made the right approach honestly because with what Mirio knows about Overhaul in that moment as Nighteye’s agency has been looking into it if Deku went against Overhaul I don’t see him winning at all right there and Overhaul would take Eri back anyways and make himself harder to find it would cause more harm and he would have messed up the ongoing operations for the team up to stop whatever Overhaul has going on as well. To rescue an abuse victim sometimes you can’t go upfront telling them they are an abuser and question them because they are dangerous. Also Mirio definitely knew something was wrong before even going into the alleyway it’s just he was talking about other things to divert overhaul’s attention so he wasn’t suspicious that they know there’s something wrong. I would say Mirio is more of an mvp or even Shigaraki for making moves himself without AFO and even bargaining getting info and his way for that ep. For the other episode yuhhh we love Kirishima IKTR also my husband Fat Gum is here we love to see it :)

That's inaccurate. His lackey is responsible for letting her escape which is why he killed him.

Leah

All this talk about Nanami’s voice actor makes me wish I could see Carlie react to Seto Kaiba in original Japanese since that’s what I know him best from, lmao. Kenjiro Tsuda is so good

LookingForOwls

I think sometimes they overexplain simple words like "teamup" because they use the word in English to be more in line with traditional superhero terminology - so some Japanese viewers might not understand the term.

Calcifer

So when they explained "team up" English viewers get confused because of course we know what that means lol. But they actually say it in English instead of Japanese, using it as a borrowed phrase. So this moment is the show explaining what the English phrase "team up" means to a Japanese speaking audience(and the student characters). That kind of thing happens in Haikyuu pretty often too, it's always funny to see peoples' reaction to those moments.

He didn't save her is the issue. Intentions alone aren't worth MVP. I agree with Ange's take because Overhaul is the one who really got things progressing. He kept Eri, got under Deku's skin and secured a negotiation with Shigaraki.

Naqib _
>>158652778

I can see Deku not deserving it. But I still think giving it to Overhaul was a bit contrived. He didn’t *really * do anything other than threaten a child. Like he is a criminal mastermind and he had no better plan than to off two rookie heroes just because they were a bit suspicious? That’s why he deserves mvp? Maybe, Eri should get mvp. She willingly went back to her abuser to save two stranger’s lives. Her play was successful too, she saved them.

FTN Chicken

After seeing Red Riot Unbreakable I have a feeling when he’s a Pro, Kirishima is gonna overtake Gang Orca on the “Heroes that look like Villains” chart Also, dang Cementoss just keeps on catching strays

Takumi King

4x4 mvp I would give to All might, or Mirio

Krokus
>>158661070

Oh, wow. Really? I had no idea. Interesting take that none of that responsibility is on the leader. You'll make a great CEO.

The Great Santini

im not the biggest fan of S4/S5 but the first half of S4 is very good.

The Great Santini
>>158660768

There was clearly confusion from Carlie and Ange's point of view. They were under the assumption that All Might might not die because of the prediction being so far out when that's not what was intended.

The Great Santini
>>158659337

That's exactly right. Rewatching the first 5 episodes, it's like they spent all the budget on these episodes and didn't put them in the most important scenes. That said, the most important scenes are still good just due to the writing.

Cassii

S4 is the best season imo

Zayamad
>>158661070

Ah yes, because you can account for every aspect of everything. He is in charge of an entire organization and has plenty of things he has to work on, but hey, he is directly responsible for his minion failing to keep an eye on the girl according to you. It's not that the minion got bored or didn't take his job seriously. For all you know, assigning a minion to guard her is the job of another minion. Even if we pretend that it's entirely his mistake, he fixed it by retrieving her. It's a silly argument to act as if he is responsible for all the errors of those who work for him. You could argue he should have chosen a different minion or multiple minions to keep track of her, but that doesn't mean he himself was directly responsible for her escaping.

Downeast Beast

Absolutely FIRE OP cover from Ange, holy moly
