As it turns out, he's voiced by the same VA as Satori and his twin brothers. Feels like that guy was destined to voice dreadfully irritating characters lol.

Wanze is in top 3 worst one piece characters. Satori would've been in my top 3 yesterday, however studio gek just reacted to satori with one pace, and his appearance felt significantly better. Sogeking is definitely a fan favourite.

there is probably a way to explain the wave hit, but they really are just that strong guys. Think of the wave punch as a show of raw strength. There was a force coming at them (the wave) and in order to deal with it more force is needed to be used to counteract it and let them through. It doesn't really need to be realistic, its just to show off Luffy and Zoro are forces of nature when combined and focused on a goal.

Somehow i see a resemblance between the shockwave that dorry and brogy did at little garden and the shockwave that luffy and zoro did. It shows how they did grow. The giants also had 100 million each as bounty, same as luffy now.

It is kind of absurd but then you remember Luffy carried a giant gold ball up a beanstalk and that bullets only work during flashbacks.

Agreed, Wanze managed to be worse than Satori .... He did not even introduce a new powerset such as Mantra, and is just gross and annoying. On the bright sight, in my opinion, there will not be a worse villain in future arcs (even including some fillers).

Fun Fact, the name Sogeking is a pun. Sogeki means Sniping, so his name means Sniping king 🤣

I never thought about it much before but where did Usopp get Sogeking mask did he just find on the train somewhere? I mean CP9 did have those disguises for infiltrating Galley-la headquarters so maybe they had more disguises

I might be late but I think the way the animation was made in the scene where Luffy and Zoro made a hole in the wave is a bit exaggerated. In the manga, you see them attack the wave and immediately exit the other side. My understanding is they just timed the attack perfectly with the wave crashing down on them so it kind of created a force that repelled the wave around the train so they can get through. It didn't necessarily create a long tunnel. It was exaggerated in the animation for sure.

At roughly 11:35 into episode 255 Usopp hears Sanji mention that "The last car was full of Government officials and worthless crap like masks and costumes." And when Usopp walks away he walks towards the rear cars. The reason for why there are masks and such on board is probably because the government had people in masks walking around town in Water 7 for various reasons. I could have sworn I saw the mask somewhere in the anime before it was used, but maybe I was thinking of the manga where it is shown in a suitcase.

Uopp is from Syrup Village and Sogeking is from the Island of Snipers. They cant be the same person. They are friends he even told it. I am pretty sure Sogeking is Akoji (ice guy) just look at the hair.
