can you watch Eris the goblin slayer OVA before or after 17, chronologically this is where this should go. and if you watch it last its a bit weird

Bill

MT is pretty unique in that it uses actual made-up languages for the different races. Demon-god and Beast-god are completely different from Japanese. Anytime you see Japanese subtitles on the screen they are using a fantasy language. It happened on the demon continent and during this episode with the beast people.

Ahh the intro again 🙏

That's a horrible suggestion ... like it's already bad that they are not watching 16 and 17 together ...

I really appreciate that the anime took their time with the events of this episode. Not a lot of plot progression, but a chance to reexamine our main characters and appreciate how they've grown. It's not really something you get in most other isekai anime tbh

My take on the sparring match is that we only got to see what happened from Rudy's level of swordsmanship, and he isn't nearly at their level yet, so without using his Demon Eye he has no idea what the hell just happened.

"people change", if there is a theme to this anime it would be the exploration of that quote. Rudy said this not only to Gyes, but also to himself, and will be a recurring theme in the following chapters. Can people truly change?

They can and they do, a lot of it happens in times of crisis, in this case it's likely to happen because Rudeus will be exposed to things he never was in his previous life because he became a shut in at 16 - a very important period into your life when a lot of aspects of your personality are crystallising.

Alam

what's the name of the song that's always played at the end of the video?

My dog looked almost exactly like the sacred beast, except mine was black. And she was just as fluffy and cuddly as this one. RIP Blacky
