Ochako gave one hell of a speech 🎤

Maya Coleman

"Please let this place be his hero academia" that line always gives me chills 🔥

Maxime Goettelmann

Fun fact, the citizen with the strange head appendages that takes Deku's side is the very first man who talked to Deku in episode 1 (when they witness Mount Lady kick a vilain). He told him he would root for him.

Jeannie Stigall

I’m not sure if you noticed but the star fish looking guy who gave the speech about feeling like he was an audience member watching a show was also in the very first episode and he was the one who asked deku if he wanted to be a hero.

Great reactions! Just wonder if the anime sound was deliberately made small. I have to increase to max volume to hear it.

before watching if Ochako didn't get MVP I'll riot

Yeah, I've had that "problem" (not really a problem, but idk what word to use) for a while. If I want to hear the anime, I have to max it on the player and turn up my computer/phone volume, but then Carlie or Ange get hyped for something and I lose my eardrums xD

urgh I cry every time I watch this episode 😭 Urarakas VA did such an amazing job. The raw emotion in her voice is just *chefs kiss*

They said nezu makes some kind of academic contributions and I think makes money from writing books and grants for discoveries tho the fighting pits is a good guess too lol.

MHA Wednesday’s are back!! 🙌🏽 what another amazing episode. I loved the character call backs in this episode. Kota of course, and the star looking guy from Episode 1. Loved the “cry baby hero” part. Deku constantly gets bashed by the anime community, so why not embrace it. Really one of the best MC’s out there

Uraraka's Speech was so special...

Void The Rose

Monoma mention! Me and the 5 other monoma fans cheered xd🙂‍↕️ this is also a top 5 ep for me really really loved Uraraka’s speech the voice acting went beyond~ also if I remember correctly just a small change, in the manga when the people were shouting at deku danger sense was going off which makes the scene so much more heartbreaking deku deserves better smh~ love the line ‘this is the story of how we ALL become the greatest heroes’ it truly is a collective no one person is unimportant ❤️

Are we gonna get a MHA Vigilantes reaction in the future?? 👀

The fact Eri thought he was "The Bad Part of UA" and now he's her newest brother lmao

Sariel E

Me to myself: You’ve watched this before. Don’t get choked up Don’t get choked up Don’t get choked up *gets choked up* Dammit!! 🥺😩

Biostar

Horikoshi made sure to mention that the spike head guy did not remember Deku from their brief encounter, so there is no bias going on here when he decides to speak up for him. The manga treats it as endearing but of course parts of the anime community treats it as a bad thing because they all want the MC to be a constant aura farmer to insert into. 90% of the time it's people who don't watch MHA or purposefully ignore that it has never stopped him from turning up.

This episode for me is one of the best ones of the series in my opinion, i remember the first time i see this episode y was so emotional and crying so hard like if i was deku there, the themes and the way uraraka speech hits so hard to everyone, the music, voice actress, she literally gave hope and light for everyone and specially for deku, and of course she said the fkin title of the anime. Its just MY PEAK ACADEMIA!!!!

This episode makes me tear up every time I watch it. Big props to Uraraka's VA, Ayane Sakura. I like that the author didn't make Uraraka just a "love interest" of the protagonist. She wasn't worried about Deku because she had feelings for him. It goes back to her origin, she saw how heroes need support. And that resulted to her having that speech and remind everyone that heroes are people too. I love this anime man, regardless of what other people say

The one thing I never see mentioned that kills me is the little things Hori does with his moments like these. And how the guy who gives the small speech to the masses as a regular citizen met Deku in the first episode of the entire series. The Star Guy(literally no name) affirms Deku aspirations to be a hero and says "I'm rootin' for ya!" back then and helps go that extra mile to empathize with the people. Godlike cameo in my opinion

Rob V.

This is what the people needed. Uraraka did so well, talking to them like people and appealing to their humanity. Instead of just using government speech/language, all while civilian lives are destroyed. They've all been through so much, both heros and civilians, now they can all come together for the greater good as a community.

Jerome Grecia

I can't hear your reactions. Please add more microphone

Mekar

I think saying that All Might set the bar too high is falling into the same "the heroes are just performers on a stage" mentality that the guy was talking about at that moment. All Might changed the world. Before All Might, crime was soaring and society was wrecked. The alternative to All Might's bar isn't "more reasonable expectations," it's "societal destruction."
