People find it shocking that Nami is willing to buy Camie back but that is literally her backstory! She has an obsession with money because with money she can save her friends. On the surface level it seems like she keeps it all to herself but in reality she gives the crew allowances (if Luffy had all the money he would just buy meat and only meat) and tries to bargain every price down to save the money.

This arc is where the main story and the badass big shot characters start to flesh out fully. Water 7 and Ennies Lobby are fan favourites because of character moments, twist and turns, backstories. This arc and the next 2 are fan favourites mainly because of the hypes (I think). Love how Carlie want to strangle Charlos dickhead. You can even change "Most Wanted" to "Celestial Dragon award" from now on. Bet he will stay on your screen for a long time. Also, please watch 403-405 together!

It's actually kind of impressive that Charlos made it into most wanted with him only being around for 4 episodes. Also I know it was a group effort but you could maybe give 1M from chest to Usopp since he found out where Camie was being sold.

one piece has always been political tbh, this arc/saga is what makes some people realize it on a first watch, and i love the point you made about luffy in the discussion ange, he truly is one of the best representations of freedom out there, the way he's written is what makes him my favorite mc in all anime, i truly think there's a chance that he might reach those heights in your rankings too! the one piece world is supposed to be 2 times bigger than the earth sooo (not stated by oda tho), you guys might want to bring back the good old notebook from your aot reactions lol!! ange has a greaaaat memory tho and sometimes carlie catches great details, you've done a great job so far♡ but the world is gonna get like 5 times bigger now. i'm sooo excited for the reactions!!♡

On the execution site Loguetown was Roger execution site cause it was his birth city not cause is the place of executions. I think OP keeps doing the comedy throughout, but I don't think it is strong as the first 400 IMO. It still good, but pre400 was top tier. But in exchange, I feel like the writing/lore/world-building is stronger. tho pacing is another question.

I really appreciate Oda for these episodes. It brings the racism of Arlong around full circle. Like Arlong wasn’t justified to harm innocent people, but when you see it all on Sabody you understand where he came from and how he was shaped into such a hateful person. His hate comes from a very deep care for his people. His brothers and sisters, fellow fish men that might have gone out and never came back. Oda's such a master at laying ground work and then coming back years later to give you more context and it completely changes how you see a character. This was always meant to be a political show, I think the difference between Pirates and Marines, is that while there are good and bad of both, only pirates have the freedom to always chose to be good but a Marine is forced to accept and allow World Nobles single-handedly keeping the human trafficking industry alive.

I wanted to point out a cool detail that is easy to miss. The symbol on the Human auction house is the same one that Donquixote Doflamingo points to in post-skypiea, in episode 207. In the episode, he tells Bellamy that he left shame on his mark. It's right at the beginning of the episode I believe if you want to check it out. It's something I didn't notice until my second watch through.

Carlie describing Charlos as the mould growing on the dirt at the bottom of a barrel was the most accurate description that guy could have received... Magnificent 🤣 Luffy is the real pirate. All the others supposed big scary boys were just like "let's just bow and let them pass" in front of the Celestial Dragons. All barking but not biting when facing the real authorities. Luffy doesn't care. As a pirate he doesn't follow the law, he follows his own rules. Future king of the Pirates indeed. I hope these rookies will follow his example one day.
