At the start you asked about watching the end bits, it's honestly up to you but here is my recommendation: The end of each episode will have a Preview for the next one. Watch up to (but not including) the preview, as some episodes will have scenes mid-credits and post-credits. Some of these are interesting for the plot, and some are crucial to be watched. Don't worry! You haven't missed any thus far; the only one in season 1 is the season finale with episode 25.

Also side note; Armin asking to be left with his blade and Mikasa throwing it away. He doesn't want to be eaten alive, ie he wants to go out on his own terms.

Sean Carroll

Just for Ange, given that your dragonball fan the guy who was pointing his sword at the start and yelling has vegetas voice actor in the dub. It’s weird being a long time dragonball fan and hearing a vegeta sounding frightened

Meka

4:39 the recap narrator is Armin

Jean-Luc Baca

Your theories are so entertaining to watch! I can’t wait to see what else you two come up with along the way! Thank you for another fantastic video!

Aleksandra

I don't know if you realised when Mikasa finds out about Eren and saying it's not time to get emotional she's lost a light in her eyes. But then again when she throws away the blade and says to Armin she's not leaving him behind the light is back again. I thought it's a nice touch to highlight how she lost her will to live and then got it back. Anyway great reaction as always!

That was such a good reaction! The shock and confusion were so relatable it took me back to when I first watched this episode. Keep up the solid work and fun discussions! On a side note: There is no real meaning behind the pomegranate, it was a studio decision and it even surprised the author that little scenes like that were added. However, many fans made an argument for symbolism and how it pairs with the greek goddess Persephone and the myth of her abduction, which involves a pomegranate. It's a myth that represents the changing of seasons, but also the cycle of life and death and even resurrection. Personally I believe it to be fitting, because like Aleksandra pointed out about the gleam in her eyes, Mikasa sort of *died* when receiving the news about Eren, and was *resurrected* when she found a reason to keep fighting.

Ohhhh very interesting. Didnt consider that. Was it actually a pomegranate??? Carlie was correct 😆

Jessie

Yeah, Carli got it right. The author did an interview back in 2019 where at one point he talked about creative differences with the studio. One of the topics was the addition of many small, unexpected scenes that "surprised him" (his own words). The pomegranate scene was one of them. None have any actual meaning, but it's fun to try and find one!

alexa, play passionfruit by drake

OH! almost forgot, but for future reference: At the end of an episode you will get the screen that says "to be continued"... however, if you see an episode has ended and the credits are rolling but you did not see the "to be continued" screen then there is some sort of hidden scene or something important still to come, therefore make sure you are looking at how the episodes end! If it says "to be continued" then all that there is at the end is just a short preview of next episode, they really don't spoil much. Another warning, there are a few "spoilers" in some of the outros or intros, nothing really explicitly being said or shown, however you will see visuals that are eventually explained or revealed as canon in the show. It is up to you if you want to watch the intros and outros, I would honestly suggest doing it. It will just make the theories much more interesting! Can't wait for next reaction, guys!

Twatattack

I'm assuming you guys already know this, but you should probs keep your reading of Youtube comments to a minimum, to avoid major spoilers. I've seen way too many reactors get major plot points spoiled by annoying commentors just because they like ruining it for other people. Keep up the good work tho guys! :)
