Keith Shadis is the one who trained the 104 cadets (Eren and his friends) and in the first ep you see him break down in front of the scout regimen. He was commander before Erwin. Just want to clarify when you watch season 1 Keith is leading the scouts and breaking down letting everyone know it was his incompetence that killed "his men" so if it did spoil it for you Carlie and Ange I apologize, but I also wanted to put my perspective on why it wasn't a spoiler for me when I watch/read aot a long time ago.

I love the birds on the neck of Ange's guitar. They're so fitting! The show has a recurring bird motif, starting all the way back at the beginning when Eren was talking about humanity being stuck in the walls and penned up like cattle. He wants to be free and they often show birds in flight throughout the series to call back to that. Maybe his dad was an ornithologist and the basement has a bunch of birds in it. Eagles, hawks, finches, jays, sparrows. Maybe an owl!

Shiroja

Im going to ask what Erwin said before. Who do you think the real enemy is? I can't wait until you see the later seasons to fully understand why I am asking this.

Return of Puntheon! 💪😉 Perfect train ride to work. 👍 Do you have a new schedule at hand? Or will there be an easter break? Could understand that though. You are really not holding back providing us with content.❤️ But please no break before the finale! 😂😂

I swear the reactions get better and better I don’t get tired of watching them, also can’t wait for the discord server I’ll gladly help if you guys need moderators over there!😊

We should all be called their Puntreons at this moment :P Wait...No. I got the perfect name for us to tailor to Ange AND Carlie: We are the Steam Punks. Get it? Steam... PUNks?

let them enjoy the show, without leading their thoughts a certain way.

The Intro goes so hard everytime 🔥

Crusher

Eren didnt have a crush on Annie however yes Mikasa did show signs of Jealousy. Also the Titan memory impairment thing, that only happened in his 1st transformation. So far Eren has remembered all the details after his 1st transformation

Mr Joker

Btw guys some episodes have post credit scenes so never stop an episode until the "to be continued" screen appears

Cation

You guys got the best reactions and theories!! Can't wait for final episode and onwards, let's goo! And btw. Yuki Kaji (Eren's voice actor) is top tier. One of the biggest reason why Sub is so much more fitting than dub.

Ecilla

See, the cat is actually the Felyne Titan, that’s why the cat isn’t phased by the rumbling that is going on around it.

Azmoz

Such good reactions and discussions! So excited for 25 and the wrap up. Keeping an eye out to watch when it drops 👀

Sammy

Seeing as you yourselves mentioned the voice acting this episode, I'd like to recommend you guys to watch a short video (2min) of the voice actors of Eren and Armin "in action" this episode! It makes their voice acting look even more impressing in my eyes!! Maybe you could fit this in with other various videos regarding AoT if you decide to make a reaction out of it :) Here's the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r86onRjEwwk

I didn't read the manga but I heard (spoiler-free) that in it eren transformed instantly. in the anime, I think they just needed to meet the episode/ time count. also, he didn't have a crush on annie. he just didn't want to fight her because he saw them as friends, or at least his "training family" if that makes sense. I hear there's a lot more development of the 104th group in the manga, but generally, they all trained/ lived together so he was very upset about having to hurt her and felt betrayed.

With a story as in-depth as attack on titan sometimes it's easy to forget just how good the animation is at times. Some of the 'camera' work in this episode combined with odm movement is crazy. and worth just taking a step back to enjoy spectacle as displayed in this episode.

You're right, as a manga reader Eren didn't take that long to transform as he did after Mikasa answered him with "because the world is cruel". There are other added scenes for the sake of the episodes' length that aren't in the manga as well.
