in the first theory, i think eren was just triggered that reiner was saying weird things after betraying the scouts

Exactly, in my opinion he was confused as to why Reiner was talking about being promoted and all that stuff just like how he used to act before he was revealed to be the armored titan. He couldn't hear more and he just snapped at Reiner like bro wth are you talking about x)

You're thinking too much about Erwin trying to save Eren. Eren is so important really just because he's the only "titan" know to be on the humans side. Especially now they know that there are titan shifter enemies too, if they lose Eren, it's over. Just look at Annie, the scout literally couldn't do anything to her without Eren.

When Bert says "someone find us" in Japanese the more direct translation is more like "some one look at us." I interpreted that as "some one look at our perspective", like look at what we have gone through and what situation we are in.

God, I love Bert's speech in this episode. Really gives insight to the mindstate of these characters and is made better on a rewatch. Watching this show through again is so rewarding. Loving the vids guys!

Erwin said there is no future within the walls without Eren because he is someone who can turn into a Titan. His appearance caused the first victory over the titans in their history and also sparked a titan v Titan man hunt against him. Erwin understands that if they lose Eren here, humanity within the walls will crumble. He doesn’t necessarily know anything more that anyone else.

Everyone can see through Ymir's motives except Historia, like it's obvious that she lied to her by saying that she only did it for herself while it's clear that Reiner convinced her that the only way for Hisu to live is to be saved and taken away from inside the walls. Ymir's love and sacrifices for the others are underrated. She is a badass queen!!

Great reaction, so excited for the next episode! Also, at 18.51 you can see two scouts going back to save Erwin. I really love that this show bothers to include these kinds of details.

I love that there's 2 of you because you can always bounce thoughts and theories off of each other. It makes for a much better viewing experience! Also episode 12 of season 2 is my personal favorite in the whole series because of the shock and emotions AND because of the affect it has on the rest of the world-building in season 3 or 4, so I can't wait to watch your reaction soon!!!

Not fully watched this, but don't beat yourself up about getting things wrong lately! This season is one of the most difficult to understand. It's almost entirely a series of rich, emotional payoffs to character arcs that you are so far kept completely in the dark about. Once you've seen more of this show, season 2 is imo the most satisfying to rewatch, everything comes together and makes SO MUCH more sense.

Don’t worry about getting things wrong, the show does provide clues about things that will happen as you already know, but without context it’s difficult to put them together. You are right where Isayama wants you - tense and confused. Answers will come in due course - and it will be glorious!
