I love you guys it’s 4am here in the States and I was debating on going to bed but now I have a reason to stay up lol

Francisco

3 days in a row, you guys are the best

taengsicle unbreakable

I wish you release the 16-18 in same time otherwise I will wait because those three, more better to watch at same time. Take care~

Dev25

Marco being killed by their hand would have raised questions compared to him being eaten by a Titan

Zyrus

Nah, you're not alone. Bert and Reiner can both fuck off.

Ecilla

Awesome reaction! Any chance we’ll get the triple upload on the next ones? 16-17-18?

Ivan Haji

Manga reader here. I basically hate everyone except 2. So don't worry there lol. Hate who you like.

Tien Nguyen

Most people hate Reiner so... LOL

Martin

It's totally normal to hate Reiner and Berthold at this point. At this point I didn't even want to have answers on why they did this. I just wanted them to die.

Jonathon Elkins

Y’all have become my favorites reactors for a few reasons and the upload schedule is a big one lmao. Big props for the speed y’all are cranking these episodes out. I’ve seen AOT a dozen times now including watching reactions so usually if a channel takes it super slow like 1 episode a week I’ll lose interest and move on rather than wait. Y’all’s commentary and upload speed keep me on the edge of my seat waiting for the next haha

Jonathon Elkins
>>85355642

Also like other people are saying, you should watch episodes 16-18 in one session if you can manage it. It’ll be better for your experience if you do

Raijin

Still dislike Reiner Bert and Annie for what they did to marco… and for Annie to use his odm gear after knowing what she did is so disturbing.

Sammie

The death of Marco left a sour taste in my mouth as well and to this day I still find it unacceptable+ Annie playing with the scouts in s1 was so traumatizing for me that I couldn't like her anymore (I don't hate her tho). And please don't worry about what the others might say about you not liking certain characters, up to this point you've been so understanding and respectful towards all the characters, and you've expressed your feelings just as I would've liked to see the others do. It's so sickening to see some people being so nasty towards the most loved characters that you'd be so shocked to see that :(

Sean Carroll

"I dont like Bert and Reiner and nothing is going to change that" We all said that here

Sean Carroll

The show definitely doesnt want you to hate them, thats why you have Reiners split personality and Bertholdts lines such as "Nobody's in the wrong, we had no choice in all this" and "Who would want to do this, do you think this is what I aspire to be" The show is giving you very clear hints that they are not evil and are conflicted enemies. When I watched the show first time I was too intrigued by their story and desire to understand them that I didnt hate them at all

Sean Carroll

when I first saw them kill Marco, I thought it was horrible but I was still too interested in their reasoning, especially after Reiner called the poeple of the walls an evil race, there are jus way too many intriguing lines for me to immediately write them off

Carlie & Ange
>>85355642

Thanks heaps Jonathon! That’s very kind of you 😊 and yes, we’re really planning on releasing all those reactions together but it might mean no content for a day or so

Carlie & Ange
>>85357643

We’re still very interested in their reasoning, but as we said, it’s left a really sour taste in our mouths when it comes to those 3 characters now. We’ll have to wait and see how the show plans on the turning that around!

TomNook

It hard to say “like” those characters because I wouldn’t say I like Reiner but he is my favorite character due to the complexity with him. Don’t let any comment bring you down this is when the aot community starts to get pretty toxic and watch out for spoilers they are going to start flying in. Keep up the great content!

PsychJay
>>85355642

If you do all three together, don’t worry we will gladly wait!!!!

Tien Nguyen
>>85355425

Well most people I've seen have that reaction when they watch season 3. Not to say that I've ever hated him tho.

Crusher
>>85356473

They didnt like doing it, u can see it in all 3 of their expressions

Crusher

You can hate or like them its your choice, we are here to watch your opinion. Lot of people hated them at this point but u also need to remember going back to that scene - All 3 of them looked devastated doing it + S2E11 Berthold meant what he said about they really did consider them as their friends.

Degenerick

Angelo, this one had my favorite OST of all time Apple Seed, which is the last track in that suite video. it plays when bert transforms and its sooooo good

Evan Etchison

I paused for 15 minutes screaming because I was so upset about Marco, I’m still not over it

Lars Stene

If they would have killed Marco with weapons the other scouts would have been suspicious of his death, and they obviously want to avoid that. That's what I made out of it.

bruhmingo

Based on your reactions on certain characters, you guys are gonna be in for a real shock in season 4.

Martina
>>85357115

that's cool and all, but I definitely hated them at that point you can't go around killing people's moms and friends and then be like "we had no choice", it's normal to have an emotional reaction to that. but the characters, as well as the watchers of the show, can have conflicting views on the whole situation

Mobin Shah

Even if you don't release 16-18 close to one another, you should still watch them at the same time. It's the Holy Trinity of season 3

Aaron S.
>>85359938

Yep and Ymir did say to them directly in S2E12 “I’m probably the only one who understands the position you’re in” and she is somewhat of a trustworthy character so for me personally that was enough for me to not hate them, but it’s understandable why people either forget that scene or don’t consider it substantial enough to sway their opinion on them.

DJ

My first reaction I didn't like Bert and Reiner at all.

Sean Carroll
>>85357115

I was replying to angelos comment about whether or not the show is trying to make you hate them. If you do hate them than you’re to some degree not paying attention to their actions or dialogue. We don’t know anything yet about why they do these things but the hints are there as to how they feel about their actions. It’s clear they are not evil so for me I just can’t hate them. What they are doing is messed up but they must have a reason for it

Jaypee87

The Marco scene was quite difficult to watch, but throughout I could only really think "Why? What could possibly be their reasoning for doing this?"

Sachal Khan
>>85357115

I disagree! I think you can hold conflicting feelings/opinions on them and to some degree that's what the show wants you to do, rather than to forgive them because there's an unseen reason at this point for their actions. You might still hate them for the decisions they're taking. Going with what we know at this point, then one example would be, after experiencing the horror of what they did, then did they really need to break through Trost (which, if they didn't plug it up, could have led to literally all of humanity falling apart). Surely there were more humane ways to try to look for the coordinate, even if they'd had no success up until then. It also goes back to what Annie said near the end of season 1 - about people who go with the flow and people who go against the flow - if they feel remorseful about their actions, then no matter how hopeless their actions, they could still choose to abandon their mission or even defect. But they are making a self preservationist choice to continue on their mission.

Mr Joker

Guys next few episodes have A LOT of content so please pay close attention specially since you're watching sub

Coco

I don't think any of us will hate you for your opinions on characters right now! Just keep in mind that everyone has a reason for their actions or "everyone is drunk on something".

M.N.

Yea I was pretty angry seeing what happened to Marco when I watched this episode. I disliked Reiner even more.

Do2aah

Reiner is actually the Mangaka's favorite character in the show lol

Gabriel Barott

Definitely don't let other people sway your opinions on Reiner and Bert, we are here for YOUR reaction! They are both interesting characters that obviously have done some awful shit, it's easy to dislike them. But it's also clear that they, including Annie, don't want to be doing this and feel that the only reason they need to do it is because they have no other choice.

Crusher
>>85375798

Sub is better for translations. Sub doesn’t show emotions often

NissanZaxima

If they just chopped up Marco with a sword then it would have been way easier to catch them.

Mr Joker
>>85375798

What I meant was that it's easy to miss something important when watching sub, specially if you talk during dialogue.

Jake Thompson

The dark liquid is definitely a special drink, it's known as: Coffee. Truly mysterious.

Monii

The Marco scene breaks my heart still. If there's one character I wish I could bring back it would be him, I feel like he would've been such a sick character and a great guy to have around. His character growth would've been great. I feel like when they were in training he was a really integral part of their friend group. This whole part of the season breaks my heart, I hate seeing them fight eachother because despite all the wrongs everyone has done you can tell they still in some way care. You can see by Connie & Sasha crying from being confronted with the fact that they need to kill Reiner. Reiner & Annie's reaction to Marco as well. It's just heartbreaking. Especially when you factor in that these characters are meant to be aged 15-17 at this point it's just.. man. Hits hard.

lily whetsell
>>85368467

ik its not fully a spoiler but id say you should delete this, as to not lead them onto anything. i want them so just see when they get there

Sean Carroll
>>85385217

Coffee isn’t in the walls which is why armin didn’t know what it was and said it smelled good

kevin

guys can we stop hinting at the future in the comments lol wth

Guillermo Rodriguez

That Marco scene was sad, horrific and tragic. But at the end I felt it was necessary for Reiner, Bert and Annie to do it even though I didn't like it, obviously they are enemies and if I were in their shoes I wouldn't want my mission to be jeopardized no matter who heared. I also wouldn't want to kill him if he was my commrad but at the end of the day, for them, he had to go. Seeing him dead in the first scene they showed him, I had no idea who he was 😅 Had to go back a few episodes to figure him out the first season. Thanks for the reaction, things are gonna get way better and more interesting with some aha moments plus a lot more questions. Can't wait to see those reactions. Much love you too❤️‍🔥

Jaypee87
>>85410171

Yea, I was going to comment on this as well. Not trying to be rude or take away anyone's enjoyment, but people need to chill out with the subtle (and not-so-subtle) foreshadowing. Let them experience the show without building things up so much. I get everyone's excited, but let's have some restraint and perspective.

Roy Saw

The anticipation for the next 3 episodes is eating me alive

Sammie
>>85385217

Let them figure things out themselves without clarifying every detail and spoiling things for them, please!!

Sean Carroll
>>85357115

I understand if you are conflicted on them, that’s completely natural, some reactors (not carlie and Ange) just outright hate them without putting any thought into why they are doing this. In regards to trost it had been five years of searching and they still had not found the coordinate, I’m sure at that point they must have been desperate, at this point it’s unknown why they may be desperate so it’s not surprising they would attack trost hoping that the coordinate would appear. As soon as they saw eren transform the first time they must have been bewildered at their luck and so capturing eren became their mission. I doubt humane ways would work given they hadn’t found anything in five years. I’m sure you know as well as I do that their is no hope for them to defect from their mission and they don’t have as much choice as you allude to

Sean Carroll
>>85385217

The show doesn’t return to this moment so it’s fine to explain without going into further detail

Jake Thompson
>>85385217

The context clues are all there, and since I'm not sure they read the mid episode cutaways which explain it, all that's left is for me to clarify.

Danyd

Dude, let people think whatever they think of characters, they’ll eventually get to season 4, not everyone will see and feel things the same. This show is awesome but the fan base can be toxic af. Great reactions guys, love the content

pearl

im commenting on the wrong episode, but the drink reiner and bertolt was drinking was coffee. because coffee has to be imported, the people inside the walls wouldn’t have access to it. zeke reiner and bertolt do because they came from somewhere outside the walls, which was why armin didn’t know what the drink was and just assumed it was black tea since they have tea
