Not Carlie going from "Basement under the basement with a Teleporter" to accurately guessing that Dina was the smiling titan 5 seconds after seeing the photo.

Zakwan Khidzir

YOU SAID THE B-WORD??!! YOU ASKED FOR IT??? YOU GOT IT!

Caio Serafim

ANGE FINALLY GOT THE BASEMENT REVEAL YEAASSSSSS

GB3

Time for a new notebook soon, and some more ink

Ciaphas Cain

Ange slowly starts to look like Henry Cavill doesn’t he? If you know, you know 😂😂

Andrew Pittman

I think Grisha losing his memories was a lie. You only lose the memories moments before you became a Titan like with Armin.

Gheddafi Duck

Make sure to buy a new notebook for next episode

Josh Knoebel

Yeah, Grisha is shown as the narrator while Hange is reading the green book. Grisha wrote it from his memories, so he eventually remembers stuff, it was just initially that he only remembered his name and doctor status. They showed that a bit with Armin too, where he forgot everything after Bert transformed.

Josh Knoebel

Carlie is right. Photographs are basically time travel, right? And on the topic of clothing/air ships, it might be time travel, or it could just be a different culture. Like how different places in our world dress differently and use different technologies. Or it could be time travel... I choose to believe it is time travel.

Ecilla

They missed what’s actually in the basement.. Ange’s Notebook. Damn.

Ecilla

Congrats btw, you’re a close to actually watching the real Season 1, after this long Prologue!

Chris V

Time travel machine 😅 Well you could say reading an old book is like stepping into the past! Great discussion. After wrapping up the season, The Lost Girl ovas' would be cool but the sooner onto S4 the better haha can't wait

Marcin

The only thing he "lost memories of" was the whole life and culture of people inside The Walls. He just said he lost memories because he didn't want to tell them he's from a completely different place outside.

Pascal Bringer

i neeeeeed your reaction to ep 20 now shit is getting real

Andrew Pittman
>>85785631

Yeah I know. I was just letting them know that grisha only remembering he was a doctor and his name was just a lie he told people in the walls.

PsychJay

The “tension” of Ange crushing on Carla is hilarious since she’s basically a near animated looking version of “Carlie”. Boi definitely has a type LOL.

Sammie

The basement...finally!!! Carlie explaining her time machine theory made steam come out of my head 😂😂

Ivan Haji

"It's like a different show now" - Carlie. That line hit me hard, and I'm sure many others.

Lionel Bleus

Like everyone said, shit is getting real now! Such a good suggestion to watch ep20 twice! Thanks to both of you for your enthusiasm and your joy! Cheers from Belgium

taengsicle unbreakable

Since you both finally see the basement, I wonder if you ever feel disappointment to know that they only find a notebook there? I mean with the whole crazy theory you made since season 1, is it makes you feel meh or just get more curious about it? I hope its the last cause to be honest it just the only a start

Carlie & Ange

We kind of go through this in our episode 20 reaction which will be out tomorrow 😊 in short, it’s probably a bit of both. The book really starts to open up the show which is exciting!

Drai

The boulder is the piece Bertholdt kicked from the wall gate

DJ

Carlie's theories are goated.

asseater

This is where the show actually begins

Jonathon Elkins

We've been travelling through a tunnel the entire series and with this episode we're finally out the other side. You can't even imagine how much crazier the story gets from here. Or maybe you can, you did expect a time machine in the basement haha

Zyrus
>>85786413

Fair warning, next episode is an infodump. Go in prepared to memorize a /lot/.

iJonShuffle

Patiently waiting for the full length. Its so hard to contain myself, because this is what we've been waiting for.

PiNe

Congratulations! You finished AOT prologue!

Mihai Sarbu

Thank you for another great reaction - you guys are the best! I am a bit disappointed in the fellow patreons though as there are spoilers in the comments and a lot of people saying that the show is just starting now, which makes no sense.

Sean Carroll
>>85794012

how is that a spoiler, a spoiler is telling them of a plot point before it happens, snowflakes just call everything a spoiler these days

J1_A1

They smart for figuring out theres a catch with being a titan shifter

Mihai Sarbu
>>85794012

@Sean, if you will read my comment again you will notice that I am talking about two different things - firstly I am talking about spoilers (that I haven't mentioned for obvious reasons, but feel free to read the whole thread and you will find them) and secondly I talk about the nonsensical idea that a lot of people try to push. Try to understand what you read before replying and please keep out the name-calling, as we're trying to have a chill environment here.

Georgie Acero

Carlie staring at you silently killed me 💀

M.N.

Bro that spoof on the disappear joke is A1.

Trent_88

The Basement containing books about the outside world, is such a simple and logical reveal in the basement but at the same time never feels like a let down or cop out for so many seasons of build up. The next two episodes contain a lot, happy reacting

Victor Castro

Carli in profesor hulk’s voice: TIME TRAVEL!!!

The Plot Armored Titan

Carlie got the attire things correctly. I was hinting it since Ymir's flashback when you guys mistaken the soldier pointing the gun at her being the King's henchmen.

pearl

grisha didn’t completely lose his memories, he was obviously lying to shadis

Jordan Olivier

Great catch on the difference in clothing/ timelines Carli

Martin

I have a feeling that this one will feed the next Bloopers video

Anna Kyruin

I feel that this episode (and the subsequent episodes) were hard to categorize for me. I think I was disappointed slightly that there wasn't anything more "magical" in the basement, however in retrospect I much prefer the grounded approach that they took. AOT is like that though, giving you what you didn't know you wanted from the series :D

Matrx Zeno

The basement is one heck of a loose unit

Ron C

I love how the episode basically trolls the audience all along with increasing frustration: a loong stroll through the town, then the key doesn't work, then nothing special in the basement, then we find the right key hole BUT the drawer is empty... They're basically toying with us xD
