Degenerick

damn how do you feel now that you know eren’s titan’s official name? the name of the anime in japanese lmao

Ali (AKABE)

He is still the shredded titan in our hearts

AyBe

Roll credits! The official translation to the show is Attack Titan but it was translated to “attack on titan” which threw everyone off and made this reveal really cool.

Mr Joker

Ymir's letter is still one of my favorite parts

MasterOfPuppets

"Time for an Upgrade". OMG. 😂😂😂 I can't help it: when I see Grisha staring, another picture comes to my mind.. 😳 But I will say no more🤐

Eclipsing

"Grisha about to upgrade!" made me lose it XD

The Plot Armored Titan

AoT Canon has The Attack Titan ost created by Hiroyuki Sawano. I'm looking forward Ange's song about The Shedded Titan 😅

taengsicle unbreakable

I think the civil war is more between Eldia vs Eldia, rather than Marley vs Eldia, because even Reiner and friend come from Marley, they still Subject of Ymir, hence why they can turn into Titan. Which makes me wonder, who do you think have better live? Marley's Eldia or Paradise Eldia?

Night Sterling

The titan shifters only have 13 years because the founder Ymir only lived for 13 years after she got her titan powers. Also the Reiss family were originally Fritz's but they changed their name.

So the English title was actually written by Isayama himself. Definitely not perfect by any means but it's just too difficult to get it exactly right. The Japanese name is constructed as Attack(adj.) Titan. So before this reveal, it can easily be interpreted as attacking titans (the enemies). This can't be exactly translated to English, and "Attack Titan" just wouldn't make sense so I guess Attack on Titan was the next best thing.

Siege XIII

To be fair, Reiner’s one superpower is his (plot) armour. His only ability is the inability to die.

Sammie

The look of betrayal on Ange's face😂😂 don't worry we call him the shredded now and nothing's gonna change it 😂

Jean-Luc Baca

The only person Levi kneeled before was Erwin right before his death 🥲

Ecilla

Let me just say this, nobody is actually gonna skip the discussions because that's the most interest parts tbh. XD

Guillaume Delemos

Loved this reaction, you have a lot of interesting insight in your theories it's so pleasant to see you trying to decypher the story :)

Oron Bar

To clarify about the 9 titans, the ones that weve seen so far are: the founding titan, attack titan, ymir/marcel titan, armored titan, female titan, beast titan, colossal titan and the duck titan.

Jake Thompson

The "if you want to save Mikasa and Armin" line is what Grisha said to Eren when he injected him to pass on his TItan.

Zyrus

I actually like the Attack Titan name, but a LOT of reactors use nicknames for the TItans. I've seen a few quirky ones, like monkey titan for the beast titan

Juan Padilla

Ange: "I've got some bad blood with Reiner.... I feel like he's a cheat" You mean the plot armor titan?

Josh Knoebel
>>85998685

Ange doesn't actually have bad blood with Reiner... It's the female titan's blood.

Guillermo Rodriguez

Not everyone making Ange feel uncomfortable now, lol just be yourself Ange, we accept you 🤣

Dookie

I think it's actually the Female Titan's blood, I think Reiner was covered in her blood after he escaped her hand, idk tho.

Chris V

Lmao "You're about to upgrade Grisha! ...Angelo" nearly choked on my food

yep, if you translate just the japanese title to chinese it can be interpreted as either the "attacking" titan or the "attack (adj) titan" so it was weird to see the title as "attack on titan". but this reveal is glorious i cant imagine for native speakers reading the manga how that must have felt. WAS THE MARLEY/UNIVERSE REVEAL NOT ENOUGH!?!?!?

lafatte24

Attack on Titan is one of the few shows where it's actually AMAZING on rewatch. I used to think season 1 was boring and too full of fillers, which I still kind of do, but there are so many scenes that make sense in hindsight. There are too many theories you guys mention and things in the show that we can't explain without spoiling, I really hope you guys go back and rewatch the show after you're done with season 4!

dannilo

Is a bit bizarre, the anime name in english is "attack on titan", but is a wrong name, because the original name is SHINGEKI NO KYOJIN that means "attack titan" and not "attack on titan"! XD

Grey Cat

"Attack on Titan" is the english subtitle of the manga on the [Vol.1 cover](https://i.stack.imgur.com/YIp8w.jpg). It's just a name that the japanese author (who doesn't speak english very well) thought sounded cool and that's why they kept it ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

dannilo

But no matter who gave the name, it's incorrect because it doesn't match the primary name. In fact, his giving it that name only makes it clearer because it doesn't go down well and makes the "plot twist" less understood. For me and many weebs LOL, when eren says "shingeki no kyojin" it's a great moment, for that very reason.
