Kaguya is the main character name, there is no other special meaning or play with words, "Sama" is an honorific title in Japanese, normally to address someone with a higher status.

Glad you are watching sub. I do think that maybe at the end of each season, or at the end of the show, you guys should watch clips of the narrator dub. There is a great series on youtube called "you are not immune to kaguya dub" and it showcases the narrator and the rest of the casts best moments in english.

this is a great idea that video would be a fantastic comparison after they've seen the show to see how the dub narrator changes the atmosphere and makes it his own comedy. its only like a 10 minute video too if i remember correctly.

All 3 seasons have zero spoilers in the OP and ED would recommend checking them out!

Glad to see you two watch these types of animes as well! This is a great one! Seeing your reactions to the food parts of the episode was hilarious...can't help but think how you guys would react to Food Wars...but that is not necessarily youtube safe.. lol

Some episodes got me in tears of laughter, it's a really fun ride

Glad you guys are enjoying the show so far! I would consider this show a good introduction to the slice of life + comedy genres, where you can find lots of typical anime & Japanese tropes/culture all in one show (e.g., bento, school culture, commute, etc.). Comedy anime generally throw out jokes left and right at fast speeds, so if you guys are able to keep up with it, other anime will become a cinch. This really tests your speed reading proficiency😂 This wouldn't be a comment from me without some fun-fact about voice actors. Shirogane, the MC, is voiced by the same guy who voices Saitama in OPM.

Zana

Very happy to see you guys watching this anime.
