They are doing dub and because most of the cast is dragon Ball dub it's staying dub. Trust me Ange is excited

DalyDose

My #1 anime of all time, with Vinland Saga right behind it. Great time to be a member of this channel! The only anime i will watch Dub over Sub FYI not sure about AUS, but in the US, Hulu is the best I've found for subtitles to match the Dub dialogue

Charlie Collings

the official first episode is 2 this one’s anime only to get fans or the original anime onboard - still very cannon just don’t worry about any confusion.

Cody Galo

More VA fun facts: the woman at the end, she was the voice of Dende and Kid Trunks in Dragonball Z.

Yeah, just to clarify, there was an initial series called Fullmetal Alchemist and that one wrapped up with a non-manga canon ending because the manga was not complete in time. They redid it and called it Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood but this the canon story and ending. FMA was still very popular so the makers assumed going straight into the action on episode 1 would be fine because people were familiar with the premise already from FMA. If you watch ep 2 of FMAB, it's actually the proper first episode because it introduces characters properly and everything, rather than this ep 1 which kind of throws you in the middle of the action without any introduction.

Amrith

Let's gooooooo! I have never seen FMAB but I have seen the original FMA. So excited to start the journey with the two of you.

Not everyone is a sub obsessed zealot. Dub for this is fine.

Y’all hyping the show up like this gets us even more excited 😬 Also thanks for the Hulu recommendation, we’ll check it out!

While watching the show for the first time i would find myself saying it in my head randomly throughout the day 💀

While I prefer the sub as well, I think the dub is fine. My only wish is that they watch 1 episode in Japanese, whether it's on or off camera, so they can experience it at the very least. Obviously it'd take more of their time to do this, but I think watching the first episode of any show they plan to react to in sub & dub, then deciding which to stick with would be a good idea.

Night Sterling

Excited to have another longer series

rabbit

Josh Migos

when I was watching this show, I wasn't aware there were 2 versions... so I watched some FMA first, and then some FMA:B, and I was so confused haha

>>105195644

Yeah, it's kind of worth seeing some parts of FMA, though. For example, in FMA, you get more time with Maes Hughes. And also the Yoki (character you see later in FMAB) arc is in FMA so when he says in FMAB that the Elrics should remember him from when they ruined his life, if you only watched FMAB, you won't really know what's going on, but in FMA you have that minor arc in full. It's an interesting mix of the two.

(no spoilers above if Ange and Carlie see it, just mentioning names of minor character you see in both with no context)

Mason D.

Chris Sabat's voice sounds a lot more like Piccolo to me in this show than Vegeta. There's more dragon ball voice actors in FMAB than I thought, I didn't even catch Krillin's or Broly's when I first watched that episode!

James Seo

this is definitely one of the few animes i can watch dubbed even though i generally prefer subbed for my animes. funny thing is, i also watched a few eps in the korean dub and even the korean dub was pretty good. :P

Ely H.

Netflix has a good subtitles

Chonkolorian

Not gonna lie this one is actually really good dub. Voice actors are top tier either way
