FTN Chicken

Fun fact: the opening is sung by the Voice Actor for Kita. Also, the 3 ending songs are also sung by the VA’s for Bocchi, Nijika, and Ryo

Driscollis

I'm so excited for Ange to react to some of the songs in this show!! the music is KILLER

BBT

the glitch scream that Bocchi does had very little software distortion. The VA just did that cursed sound on her own. There is a video on YouTube of the 4 girls talking and she does the scream again

Mesha

The glitch scream and her laughs are what make bocchis VA godtier

Barion

The 'wouldn't it be funny if a normie sang these depressing lyrics' and Bocchi's demented laugh at the end are two of my favourit jokes. They came out of nowhere. :D

Steven Tran

To clarify, Bocchi's school isn't 2 hours away from Nijika and Ryo's school. Her house is. Their schools are closer to one another.

Dooly

It’s always a good day when Bocchi’s around

MWS

Not sure if you noticed but Bocchis dog is called Jimihen, AKA Jimmy hendrix. cool nod to the fact her dad is a huge rock fan

Mango

This is a nice break from Violet Everdepression :,)

off the top of my head, Bocchi has a real and very expensive guitar, I think its an old Gibson Les Paul iirc, and also in Bocchis closet there was a Kana-Boon poster which is a band very well known in japan that have made songs for series like Naruto, My hero academia and Fire force. Also every environment in this show is a real place in Shimo Kitazawa

Also, I think that every ep is named after songs of Asian Kung Fu Generation, another legendary band from Japan.

"Melancholy Monday". Are there any other kind of Mondays?

KaijinGarou

This show is actually hilarious and sweet.

KaijinGarou

Ange are you gonna upload the full cover on Spotify or anywhere else?

Tsuchinoko is cryptids animal in Japan that looks like stubby chubby short snake. It's the equivalent of Nessie or Sasquatch or Yeti in other parts of the globe. mild spoiler but not really : you will also see tsuchinoko reference in Mob Psycho 100

Cody

The Tsuchinoko in Episode 4 is a reference to a creature in Japanese folklore about a snake that has a super fat body. Bocchi called herself a Tsuchinoko because there was no photo evidence of her existence just like how there is no real evidence of a Tsuchinoko.

Not every episode is named after a song. The main characters’ surnames are taken directly from members of AKFG. There’s also plenty of references to classic anime.

Bowsber

Each of the band members fill a pretty cool role in terms of how they are socially. Bocchi is obviously socially anxious and introverted, and Nijika is basically the complete opposite being socially confident and extroverted. Meanwhile, Ryo is introverted and socially confident (which is what makes her a loner instead of a lonely person like Bocchi), while Kita is extroverted but very socially anxious, meaning she's much more similar to Bocchi than you'd expect.
