They covered like 40 episodes only Ange, but they did reveal some stuff that wasn't mentioned until like a couple hundred episodes.

KaijinGarou

I definitely agree on Nami and Emily. She's my favorite both in the anime and in the LA and the best actress of it for me too. She's got my favorite backstory and scenes so far. I'm only over 100 eps in though.

Berserk Griffon

"They will cover 400 episodes" Girl, I wish hahahahahha the next season probably won't cover the first 150 episodes from what I've been hearing.

mezzo727

you would be surprised of how little episodes this actually covers :D

Truz

You would freaking love the anime. I'll be hoping you start it soon!

Daniel Molina

The best part about Emily Rudd’s casting is that she is a MASSIVE weeb and loved Nami years before she was cast. You could tell how much playing the role meant to her 🥹

Zilch001

I mentioned this in another videos comments, but if y’all watched just the first 45 or so that this covers that could be a cool way to dip your toes in without committing to the full 1000+

Decaf

If you ever start on the anime maybe you can commit to each arc in between other shows instead of doing entire episodes nonstop. You know, so it wont get overwhelming. Just an idea

Daniel Molina

They dont elaborate too well on it in the live action, but Nami’s new tattoo is a combination of a pinwheel and an orange that represents her home. The pinwheel has deeper meaning in the anime/manga :)

Matthew Osborne

so funny that even in the live action, no one particularly likes usopps arcs and that whole bit. but the live action covered the first 50 episodes pretty well with later info sprinkled in.

I wasn't convinced in the trailer. She looked the least like her character and like a random cosplayer. But boy was I wrong. She proved to be perfect for the role.

Daniel Molina

One thought that came to mind for future polls involving One Piece…instead of putting the entire show on a poll you can break it up by arcs? So like in that past poll it woulda been Hunter x Hunter, My Hero, Naruto and One Piece East Blue (the arc you just watched about 60 episodes) crunchyroll breaks up the arcs so its easy to track. that way if one piece wins you guys dont have to commit to all 1,100+ episodes at the same time and can repoll with new shows with the next arc to see what wins after you finish the arc you are on 🤷🏽‍♂️

MasterOfPuppets

These characters are just amazing and the show was pure fun to watch. So glad I joined in. 😃👍

Fajar Kurniawan

Maybe that's why Zeff had his boot covered with his enemies blood. He also fight with his feet, because chef must protect their hands at all cost. And yes Buggy is not harmless but he doesn't kill people easily I think, because he needs audience. Corpses doesn't make good audience

greyxwaren

plss i love buggy he's so babygirl i love whenever he's on screen 😭

greyxwaren
>>119144169

yea so it'd be like seasons where they can take breaks and replace it with other shows to add variety

Martina

I couldn't believe that Buggy turned out to be my favorite character. I thought a clown character would be sooo cringe (haven't watched the anime btw), but the actor really knocked it out of the park! I love him!

KaijinGarou

I wasn't even 100% positive if she was supposed to be Nami in the trailer 🤣. But after watching the show I know she wasn't supposed to be Nami. She is Nami.

Andrew Owens

This covers about 90 chapters, not quite 200-300, so we have a LOT more source material!

The scene where everyone at ‘home’ see the wanted poster is episode 45 in the anime. So, if they do it like that in the next seasons, it could be over 20 seasons. Calculated, not really. The actors will change over the years. Even if you bring the time skip into the picture.

ardnvfx

i need to see you guys react to 'my sails are set' so badly

KaijinGarou
>>119149643

He's much more goofy in the anime but the actor did amazing with this version. I couldn't take him too serious because the character kept getting owned left and right but he was funny and the actor definitely a serious contender for best actor of the show. I personally prefer Nami though.

Kiki Varas

This is about 45 episodes of the Anime. I think they did a great job and covered a good amount. I hope that one day you’ll check out the Anime One Piece. Even though the Live Action is good the Anime has more depth to it.

it's written in the stars whether you're an anime watcher or a LA watcher to simp for the clown. I loved him in the anime from when he got introduce but started to simp in a later arc....where he has a ponytail...🥵

Luís

Since you guys loved the actors, I recommend checking some of the publicity videos released after, with the main cast talking about the show and stuff. For a lot of them this was a passion project, and you can really see it (Ex: Nami's and Zoro's actors were fans of their characters way before the live action was announced)

GK1097

This episode's ending always gets to me, the child actors saying their dreams but in their adult voices 🥹. It's like you don't have to give up on your dreams even if you grow up. It's so sweet! It also gets across One Piece's theme of Dreams and Freedom really well! (Also I am soooo impressed that you remembered Helmeppo's name, the LA said his name once!) Zoro's backstory would've been better if Kuina didn't die, god the possibilities would've been amazing, but no, she had to represent the tragedy of child death :( . I definitely like Sanji's character more here than in the anime. They played down his womaniser/simp tendencies, so here he just comes across as a charmer rather than annoying/borderline creep behaviour. Nami is just as amazing in the anime as she is here, and Emily Rudd knocked it out of the park! All in all a great Live action! (I think out of all the live action animes up till now really).

Good idea. They're funny and pretty short so they can compile several in a video.

ImZeaT

They covered about 44 episodes of the anime, so not really "hundreds of episodes"

Zavico Adjasie

How about watching "the appeal of one piece where to start"

Baronizer

the tatto is a pinwheel and a tangerine. (genzo has a pinwheel on his hat and plays a bigger role in the anime/manga. genzo is the guy with the scars)

Katherine Claire

If you guys are hesitant to start the anime you guys should consider just releasing it on Golden Jellie. My boyfriend and I love your reactions and we would pay extra if that meant you would start reacting to it sooner ❤️

Dominique Seva'aetasi

If y’all enjoyed this but are still hesitant about watching the anime, please please please react to this video called the breath taking world of one piece. No spoilers, just really gives you a cool insight to the world Eichiro Oda has created and why the anime is worth the watch!! https://youtu.be/AcSVkCNDLZg?si=_69BVuXHg9TINBqh
