YASSSSS

noya

CONGRATS!! Love the content, y'all are the best reactors and creators out there 💜

Laylyvfavv

Yesssss my day just got better

noya22

Congrats!

Zeli

Onward to 200K! It's been amazing seeing you two grow and create such a wonderful community.

John duran

Yessss thank you for saying what you need to say about demon slayer it’s a great anime and have great characters, amazing video!

Ferdz

Congrats!! Y'all deserve it

Callum

Sorry carlie (and most of the boring anime community lol) but anges placement of kaguya and haikyu are just perfect. I actually do like aot more but for me those two go way over jjk and others in that teir

RPSiege

I’m not that far in, but I was ecstatic to see Haikyuu move up to the front with Ange! Then… no hard feelings, but Carlie became my enemy when she convinced him to move it back… I’m curious if her mind will change as she continues!

bebe

i support ur choice on haikyu ange. I chose haikyu over any anime, no matter how good they are or how hype they are just because of the way it makes me feel whenever i watch it and i have already watched more than 50 times already alongside with the reactors and it never stop giving me chills or happiness or sadness or emotions. I knew what will happen and i still react to them like i was watching for the first time. thats how haikyu does to me

Kaiser the Elitist

My top 3 from the anime tier list: 3. FMA 2. Vinland Saga 1. HxH Can't wait to see you put HxH near the top of S tier once it's finished, calling it now!

Kong Fuzi

Just a different way to do the husbando/waifu list: -Marry -Fuck -Friend -Go away -Kill I had a lot of fun with the video!

bebe

yachi's mom on top shelf and coach ukai on A level ahaha

ImZeaT

Hey Ange, if you see this comment, could you explain a bit what pissed you off during season 4 of Attack on Titan? The main criticisms for this season come from the change of studio/animation and the long waits between parts/the slicing (for a lack of better words) of the parts. Because over in the manga fanbase (in terms of parts), the chapters that cover season 4 part 1 & 2 are the most beloved, only topped by those who are covered by season 3 part 2 (and maybe season 2 if you argue but yeah). So yeah, I would like to hear your thoughts more in depth! Have a great day!

Laylyvfavv

Lmao don’t worry Ange. Kaguya sama has a huge fan base so you aren’t fighting alone. Like you said it was ranked number 1 anime on MAL for months

Sacha

Since I love a bit of mischief next time you guys should separately make your own top anime tier list and then present them to each other on camera. Not only would you both have a bit of prep work to argue your points but we could really see how differently you guys responded to the shows you watch.

Nessa.
>>120549931

@ImZeat - As a huge fan of AoT (animé only), I'm also curious about what he didn't really like about S4. The only things that I didn't like were (as you mentioned it) the change in the studio and the long wait/cuts of the parts. Now, we have to keep in mind that C&A didn't have to wait at all (except a few months for Part 3 Part 1 and Part 3 Part 2) so their experience would be different from manga readers or other animés only who've followed the story for years (remember, 4 years for S2...). Therefore I'm super interested to understand Ange's point of view on the matter.

Sacha

Also since Haikyuu is my no.1 and Vinland is my no.3 this made me intensely happy!

Steven Tran

Ange is indeed based for that Kaguya placement 😤

Henry

I would be interested in if the opinion on Haikyuu changes when they are caught up. I think the argument about intensity of the emotion felt can be debated for Haikyuu too. It's the only anime where i saw some reactor punch a hole in his wall.

Astor Lefflinker

I'm mostly a fan of stories that has a lot of layers in them, subplots and stuff, like Attack on Titan or Hunter X Hunter, but I agree with your ranking of Demon Slayer on S Tier. The story is very linear but a story doesn't have to always be non-linear for it to have a lot of effect on people's emotions. I think music, animation, how it moves my feelings, it does so well even though I probably won't even put it in my all time top 10, I would stand by you guys on it being S tier.

FTN Chicken

It always sort of catches me off guard during the show tier lists when Carlie or Ange say something negative about the show, since the they rarely dwell on stuff they really disliked during the episode discussions. (except maybe the finals season of AoT)

Ginta Liepiņa
>>120549931

I don't want to speak in Ange's place, but he did talk about it a little bit in the AoT character tier list, that some of the decisions and actions of the characters in season 4 didn't make sense to him. Probably that is part of the reason.

CastSenpai

The latter half of Blue Lock is going to actually ruin Ange

Ginta Liepiņa

Congratulations! This was so fun to watch, loved your hot takes. For me, Haikyuu, AoT and HxH are the top picks from the anime i have seen. Husbando has to be Bokuto from Haikyuu. Love him so much.

Alexis

Congrats! Loved your hot takes too, not gonna lie I was waiting for Nanami to have an appearance in Ange's list 🤣

Daniel Molina
>>120549931

I see so many ppl angry that Eren & a majority of the scouts are now the villains of the story, but like…if you have been watching AoT and you try to justify genocide just because the main character you have been following is the one doing it, you kinda missed the point of the show 😅 i can empathize with Eren AND 100% condemn his actions and i feel like thats the mindset of our gang trying to stop him. Like Hange said “genocide is wrong.” That has and always will be AoT’s point, but like our world, its not as black and white, which is why i love the show so much.

Danny

Thanks for fighting the good fight Ange. Haikyuu is my favorite anime by a mile and kaguya-sama is definitely in my top 3

Joie Dianzon 🇵🇭

I would think Haikyuu goes 2nd in S Tier between AOT and JJK.. only because I am done watching it so I know the direction of the story already. Carlie and I have the same type when it comes to anime husbandos. Nanami really stole my heart the first time he appeared in JJK, not sure why.

Daniel Molina

Maaaaan its awesome to see y’all continuing to grow, thank you for providing me with continued entertainment day in and day out 👏🏽🙏🏽🥳

John duran

Oh and congratulations as well for making it to 150K subscribers, can’t wait for you guys to make it to 200K and so on!

Jay Craig
>>120551914

I'd like to know too. I thought it was referring to LAXZone but then I remembered it was Arcane episode 3 where he yeeted a hole in his wall

Zarehl

Sorry but wtf is kaguya-sama doing in S tier when it truly belongs in SSS tier MINIMUM

CastSenpai

This was such a fun video, hope you guys hit many more milestones to come.

ThaDoubleB

Kaguya is amazing on a rewatch. The amount of callbacks and secondary jokes you can find in that show is amazing. Absolutely based.

ThaDoubleB
>>120547136

Shibuya definitely isn’t. Gonna be interesting to see how anime-only people take to the future arcs…

Queen

I agree with the Haikyuu love. If you guys ever watch non-kdrama you can try severance or the boys.

# vivi

I'm with Ange here, having seen most of the S tier animes I too agree that Haikyuu and Kaguya sama are top of the top, rewatch worthy shows that never fail to cheer me up.

MADHOUSE

Congrats on the 150K you two! When I found your channel on YT with the AoT reactions, I knew I found a special pair. It's been a hell of a journey of guys discovering new anime (and Kdrama) outside of Dragon Ball and AoT. There are still dozens and dozens of amazing shows out there that you guys may not even have heard of, not even including the upcoming ones. Hopefully, we can pick them out for you guys, and get some more good reactions. You two will get 200K subs in no time!

Amrith

Honestly I was concerned about how much you were trolling us, Ange until Vinland Saga went no 1. Now I am just concerned when Carlie is the voice of reason here for the rest of the stuff..no lol just kidding. You do you. A tier list is meant to be subjective anyway. (Psst Hey Carlie, upload your tier list sometime, do not worry abt Ange.)

Martina

congrats!!! please don't apologize for your opinions btw! I have watched many many anime and DS is still one of my favorites. yeah the story is pretty basic but it's got amazing animation, soundtrack, and themes, and some insanely hype moments. the same goes for any other anime you liked, or you didn't like. even though some anime have objectively got better writing, we all have different tastes.

Unknown

Haikyu is #1

Amrith
>>120564350

DS is still good..what ever it might lack in plot it makes up in every other department. Ange summed it up perfectly there..it has really good animation, insane sound editing and design, really great fight choreography. Lot of people just tend to ignore those aspects of the show. People just sometime want to go against the grain because it is cool.

FatherWeeb

To be fair, and I'm not hating at all so don't attack me 😂😂 But I personally would put AOT down in maybe C or D. The first season was okay In my opinion but season two got way too quote on quote political for my taste.

Frozzen Edge

THE FUNNY THING about him ranking haikyuu S, is he did't even see the best seasons yet XD

googlek1 .

I think Haikyu is the most well-rounded anime emotionally. It's funny and funny shows don't make you cry or make you feel their pain. It's wholesome and the most stressful anime I have watched. It's truly a roller coaster of emotions. Reactors are so worn out after some episodes they can't breathe well, yet they can't wait for another episode. Best example, it's like the story telling of Violet Evergarden then watching all the action of Demon Slayer in a sports show.

fresh

Vinland Saga 🙌🏽

RepliCant

Congrats!!! Ange fighting for Kaguya sama and Carlie fighting for SNK and JJK is definitely top 10 moments lmao

zdravko georgiev

Hurts me to see Mob on A tier but since u ranking based on enjoyment i can let that pass :P . For me personally is very difficult to rank shows i've seen because i try to be as fair as possible with the shows and with my self too. But Mob Psycho is a show that puts so much effort on what it's purpose is and the outcome is perfect, so i cannot judge it simply by enjoyment

Luciano Quiej

Haikyu which I love the best anime sport but come on… against AoT? Gotta be a joke but I guess their scale is how they enjoy the shows so… to each their preference. I like what Carlie is saying I support it. Even tho I find myself most relatable to ange

Gabriel Barott

Grats on 150k guys! It’s been such a wholesome and cathartic experience watching all this media with you two. Imo, Steins Gate is S Tier. But it wasn’t until I rewatched it, that I held it in such high regard. Like you guys, I was really confused by all the time travel stuff. However, upon a rewatch, and understanding everything better, it became one of the best anime I’ve ever seen. As much as I know the anime didn’t have a great color palette and wasn’t super character driven, I felt it only enhanced the watch experience knowing that those things were intentional. Just me though! I know everyone has their tastes, but I know Carlie mentioned that she watched JJK S1 over again, and it helped her appreciate it more. I feel that a rewatch is almost necessary for many anime out there.

Robert F

Fighting the good fight, Haikyuu and Kaguya are top shelf anime.

Carlie & Ange
>>120563817

Lmao I think the list in the end was closer to Carlie’s list than my own! 😆 definitely no trolling was involved

Carlie & Ange
>>120553139

Yeah we dont like dwelling on negativity. In saying that, we haven’t really disliked anything we’ve watched on the channel really. Maybe 1-2 series. Its been a pretty good strike rate!

Carlie & Ange
>>120549931

Dont get me wrong, Season 4 had some amazing episodes. I just personally didn’t like some of the writing decisions. You can get more of my opinions in our Season 4 reactions but ill try to sum it up as best I can here. Essentially, it wasn’t necessarily badly written, i just struggled to find enjoyment in a lot of the episodes. I thought everything was extremely depressing, and I thought most of the characters became really cringe and a bit stupid. Mikasa hugging Annie, Armin trying to jump into Connie’s mum’s mouth, things like that. Annie eating pie next Armin and Connie as if nothing had happened. So many cringe moments in my opinion in a show that was always well above that. Theyre just some examples of the direction I didnt like. I think it just came down to how I viewed most of the characters. I also think they left the Marley stuff too late. Trying to get us to empathise/sympathise with them at virtually the end of the series is tough. It worked for some part but I then felt like the writing became forced.

Hasy Arco

CONGRATS on 150k!!! Been watching you guys since Demon Slayer! Onwards to 200k and more! <3 I also agree with Ange in ranking Haikyuu or Kaguya (or any show) as S-tier based on how much he enjoyed it as a standard. Everyone has different criteria for how good they think a show is, and I agree with Carlie that you should consider the story-telling and world-building, but at the end of a hard day, if I had to choose between Haikyuu and AoT, the obvious choice for me would be Haikyuu. A show you can watch several times and still enjoy it each time should be given merit.

Jub

First of all, congratulations!!!! I LOVE your reactions, it's such a wholesome and amazing ride. I stumbled upon your Demon Slayer Mugen Train reaction on Youtube, and yours are my personal favourite. Hope you hit the 200k milestone soon! I have to agree with Ange on the Haikyuu topic here, Haikyuu is definitely S tier for me if not higher, and this is coming from someone who does not watch sports in real life. The story is just amazing and well-rounded. The care the author puts into characters is insane. The sense of overwhelming fulfillment you get is unmatched. Partly, I think it's because it's relatable, with so many fleshed out characters, someone's journey just bounds to resonate with yours. And honestly, there are only so many animes that you can genuinely say that you love every single character, and Haikyuu is that anime for me. Also, it's one of those animes that you just keep rewatching, and coming back to it feels like home. This is just my personal opinion though! It is just as you said, this is not fact, just personal preference. I really enjoy your great work! :)))

SoySauce

bruh haikyuu: happiness aot: depression jjk: despair

Rae

Haikyuu = top of the tippy-top of S-tier. I support Ange's opinion here.

Edward Michaelle

came for Arcane. Stayed for the "ANGELOOOO" and "What is even goin on here?!"

Kevin Campos

Just wait until we get to end of Hunter X Hunter or they watch Blue Lock lol Hisoka #1 Husbando

Rodrigo Reyes Escobar

I'm just going to wait until Charlie and Ange have watched a lot of anime where their list doesn't stop :) lol but you both are missing out on a lot of potential Waifus and Husbandos

alexis ♡︎

im like a mixture of carlie and ange. i can’t say i would put haikyuu over aot and it’s kinda not fair to put it above jjk since it’s not done and this season is supposed to be PEAK. buttt i will say i would put it above demon slayer and vinland, some of ppls favs. i am curious to know where they will both place it after the series is done 🤭

Jason

Angelo put up a good fight. Carlie’s right though. She was cooking with her points and opinions. I respect the fight out of Angelo though, he was making solid points too

radguys

Congrats on 150k guys its awesome to get to watch you guys grow as well as react to more and more shows that I love. The top of my list probably has to be JJK it just captivated me in every aspect immediately and I agree with you guys that the characters are arguably the best collection I have ever seen in an anime its incredible. Gojo is definitely the S tier husbando I can just never get enough and Misa from death note is a top tier waifu but that list is too hard. You guys are 100% my favorite reactors and I can't wait to see more. Especially Haikyuu, HxH, and JJK the fact that this trio is all happening at the same time is a massive W and I'm super excited for Blue Lock in the future too at some point hopefully. Thanks for all the great content!!

Daniel Molina
>>120549931

I could totally understand how your feelings regarding the marley characters in particular make or break this final season. For me i sympathized greatly with Reiner and Annie all the way back in season 2 from Reiners line of how they were just kids and didnt know any better. Full disclosure im an Annie simp shes like my #2 waifu so I will defend her to the end of time 🤣 I love that moment between her and mikasa cuz it really just highlights the massive tragedy this show is, these people killing each other for no damn reason, but yeah that shits depressing 😂 and not always enjoyable so I can see how you feel that way. As for armin that poor boy is so insecure and guilty i wouldnt put it past him to jump into a titan’s mouth if it meant being free of the guilt that he survived over Erwin. Pure teenage impulsive moment 😂

Jess

I LOVE HAIKYUU I'm standing up for it hahaha. I can't explain the happiness I feel when you guys love haikyuu so much. I also love JJK, AOT, Demon slayer and so much more, you guys have such similar tastes to me. Ange telling Carlie not to be scared of us is so so funny hahaha. I'm literally Switzerland on this topic because I love all so much. I wouldn't be able to rank any of them either.

bebe
>>120574684

its decided on how they enjoy the anime so its ok

Mango

Congrats on 150k guys! I found you through Arcane reaction videos and stayed for anime 🙌🏻🙌🏻 Edit finished the video: My favorite anime Hibike Euphonium! Favorite waifu: Mikasa Favorite husbando: I’d say Rengoku

Jess

Congrats on 150k I hope you guys keep on growing and growing. Carlie you don't have to be too scared of the fanbases. You guys can definitely have your own opinions after a show is finished etc. Most hate comes from when reactors say offensive and rude things about shows when they haven't seen the full picture yet. So having opinions on shows after you've caught up/completed them is okay. Because at the end of the day, you've caught up and have the full picture and can form opinions on them. Hate usually comes from when reactors completely misunderstand a character or anime and have already formed opinions on such during the middle of the season. I love how brave Ange is and I love how supportive Carlie is. I can't believe Carlie was the one standing up for some of these shows.

Lapisstories

This was entertaining to watch! Literally ordered food online to watch this after work today. Haha. I have a full list myself and for husbando but more of a mixed of manga and anime. For the longest time Naruto was my favorite then My Hero Academia kinda top that based on enjoyment. But my first ever loved anime was Ghost Fighter (Yuyu Hakusho). This makes me want to update my list done years ago. ⭐️ Haikyuu!! 1. My Hero Academia (S) 2. Naruto (A) and Naruto Shippuden (S) 3. Hunter x Hunter (S) 4. Fruits Basket (S) 5. Ghost Fighter (S) ⭐️ Vinland Saga

emma

My taste is a mixture of both of your choices lol. My favs are Haikyuu and JJK, the only thing we don't agree on is AOT, because I've grown to hate it lmao. 😭

Draga

That's how different opinions can be. For me personally JJK would be in C or D tier while Steins Gate would be in A. I still like watching your reactions though!

Kolton Nay

Attack on Titan FFanboy here! XD How you feel about Dragon Ball Z being the Greatest Story ever told is how i feel about Attack on Titan! Glad to see it still made it to S tier :)

Kolton Nay

I take everything back I'm in full support of Haikyuu taking the spot above AOT XD. When you said "Haikyuu fans stand up" I had no choice but to give a standing ovation!

angelalala

Congrats on a new milestone! As someone who's rewatched Haikyuu numerous times I completely agree w/ Ange. It's way above AOT and JJK and Kaguya-sama (on this front I agree w/ Carlie ) IMO xD This made me go back to MAL to see the scores I gave each anime~and although I know classics probably won't generate as much algorithm, I hope one day you guys might watch Baccano! Really recommend it~ Fav. anime- this is tough but for this year Vinland Saga 2

Aizensalami

Loved the video! My Top Anime: Attack on Titan My Top Waifu: Yor Where is Asahi by the way? I thought he's 35 XD. He would've been an easy A-S.

Sydonis

Kaguya sama is pretty much the pinnacle of it's genre and it had a smooth progresion in quality, so I think it deserves it's placement. JJK didn't quite reach that high yet for me and AoT had some weaker moments, though i'd argue that season 4 made up for it's lows with some of the highest highs I've ever seen. And despite some simplicity in storytelling and lack of more complex characters I do believe DS also deserves it's rank, Some parts of it are mind blowing and everything else is good enough not to drag it down and the enjoyment factor is though the roof, doesn't have to be perfect in every single regard for the overall experience to be S tier.

N

From the shows and characters you've listed here, my picks would be: Top waifu: The short haired teacher from Haikyuu. I'm sure she was meant to be on the list, someone just made a mistake there. I don't really know her name, but I believe in love at first sight. Top Husbando: I was going to be a bit edgy and suggest Saitama, but it just is Nanami. I haven't even seen season 2 yet, but he was easily the best character in S1. He also shares the same voice actor with another husbando that didn't make the list: Kishibe, the guy who trained Power and Denji. Top show: It's probably Haikyuu, but Kaguya and HxH are very close follow ups. Haikyuu and Kaguya get extra points, because I was not at all interested in sports or romantic comedy shows before I saw them. Turns out genres don't really matter when the character writing is S tier. Thanks for all the work you do, your content has brightened my days many times. Let's hope the 200k celebration follows soon!

Lulucho

You guys are the best lol, also congrats!

Henry
>>120551914

Ahhhh I was referring to LAXzone but maybe I misremembered him punching the hole, but he definitely got real emotional at some Tanaka character moments

Matheus Almeida

Loved the tierlist. It is almost like mine. I would just move Mob up to S and Dragon Ball and Kimetsu down to B or C .

Sharles Davis Kendy
>>120562717

I have very different tastes from them (most of their S tier shows would be B-C for me) but I am 100% on the Haikyuu train. I've rewatched that show a million times and never get tired of it.

Clément Creton

Aot to much hype on this show … some mange or anime are much better …. Anyway why upload its not constant ? I realy don’t care about vidéo spécial 150 k am glad for u but we paid for content react am waiting haikyu…. 🥶😩🥲but today is 1 week since last upload 😭😭😭

Erdanxela
>>120675820

i think you are too rude they are humans too and some others care about these special videos. You are not alone. You can wait a bit especially because they are the better when its come to the amount of uploading compared to the price of the patreon.

SanteRip
>>120675820

I always think of Patreon as a way to support the content creator so demanding content just for you sounds really weird to me :|

Clément Creton

Rude to What ? I say am glad for them this is their profession I just say .they said weekly upload this is not weekly upload so u are rude !!! I pay for a service I want my service point!!! So pls get lost this is rude and and french so my English is not precise anyway saying upload is not constant is not rude is fact and the price is the price and is free to watch haikyu so don’t make like they lose money on it 😂😂 so telling fact is rude I note that one unjust to much fan boy admit it ! myel
>>120675820

i do agree about the "services" you pay for BUT Carlie and Ange made it clear that they dont have "fixed" schedules, and promised that the number of episodes will still be the same. If they dont upload this week, it will mean they will double the next upload. That's how i understand it.

Carlie & Ange
>>120675820

Hey Clement! We do stick to Haikyuu 3 episodes every week. Sometimes they come on different days though. There will be the next 3 episodes this week, dont worry

Mesa

dang cyberpunk at B, but i get it, though the S tier episodes basically had me forget about all the more mid episodes good tier lists and keep it going! thanks for the effort!

bebe
>>120675820

wo that's rude. u only get one ep per week on some channels, u get 3 eps here what r u complaining about. and let people celebrate their achievements what's on u to talk about u dont want 150k vid or not? thats on u

Martina

I haven't commented on my top anime and husbando/waifu, and since I'm waiting for the new upload, here goes: S tier anime: FMAB, JJK, Haikyuu husbandos: Gojo, Nanami waifus: unfortunately I don't think anime have that many good female characters 😭 especially when you take into account only those of age. but I guess I would say Yor Forger and Riza Hawkeye!

Sydonis

I just realized, how is Haganezuka mising from husbando list.

Alex Wilson

Haikyuu is my #1 favorite anime as well. It took me awhile to be honest with myself because it's about a boys volleyball club, not some crazy epic with the fate of the world at stake. It honestly looks silly putting something like Haikyuu in front of AoT or HxH, but why? Good is good, regardless of the subject matter. The fact is, I've rewatched Haikyuu more than any other anime, and it's the only anime to get me to read the manga to find out how it ends. It makes me laugh, cry, and shout for joy, and never manipulates or depresses me. If you want a suggestion for another anime with no true villains and dozens of heroes, I recommend Bakuman from the creators of Death Note. Similar to Haiykuu and Kageyua, it is a non-battle battle anime about creating manga. It's not nearly as popular as most anime out there, but it's a cult classic for sure.

Maxine

YES FIGHT FOR US KAGUYA-SAMA AND HAIKYUU FANS 😂

Maxine
>>120710096

i feel the ~exact~ same way about Haikyuu! it was my first sports anime, and as someone who ranks AoT, HxH, and FMAB as my top anime, i thought Haikyuu would just be a fun watch...but the EMOTIONS it puts me through, regardless of how many times i rewatch is insane (and it is def my most rewatched anime lmao). for me, Haikyuu, Kaguya-sama, and Mob Psycho are anime that i'm still so surprised i love as much as i do, but i hold them in SUCH high regard

Alex Wilson

Top Waifu: Anna Leibert <3

Amrith
>>120694658

Add Olivier to that list (Not Izumi, I can never compete with Sig) but I do feel FMAB has the best written female characters that one does genuinly fall for.

Veya

Well demon slayer character criticism isn’t about big developments/character change or anything like that. They’re just generally generic and pretty one note. Like you can literally predict what comes out of the character’s mouths line by line. MHA has this problem as well. Agree about the animation quality and music though. It’s like james cameron avatar. Exceptional visuals but mid writing. Will depend on how much it balances for you.
