aubrey !!

poor yuji man. someone get this kid some mental help.

umi

Glad you guys didn’t get spoiled for most stuff in this arc, JJK fans be racing to spoil I swear 😭

beannie

back to back, someone needs to stop gege🧎 he's the real villain here

Night Sterling

Good guys winning? We dont do that here in jjk - Gege Akutami probably 😂 Man knows how to give you hope only to rip your heart out a second later.

Raden

JJK should be called Pain and Suffering

noya22

She was also covering her eyes in the opening 🤧

Htatki

Nobara basically didn't accomplished anything the whole series. And her story went to nowhere. Common issue of JJK.

Paint

Fun fact: you can see Nobara's eyeball get blown out of her head and land on the floor

FTN Chicken

Dang, just doing that to one of the main trio. Slap in the face to shonen anime tropes everywhere

Steve.

JJK has officially lost me here. Killing main characters is fine, but the way this show does it feels disrespectful to both the characters and the audience

JustJamel

Yea I’m gonna be honest I really didn’t care for nobara

makotheQ60

I heard from a manga reader that in the manga It's actually flipped and you see the front of when it happens so we actually got spared from something even more Gruesome

Aizensalami

When Yuuji said "Kugisaki" at the end with the black screen... that was a man in real pain...

beannie

watching / reading jjk is a whole cycle of you thinking "it can't get worse than this" and then it gets absolutely worse than "this"😭

beannie

yeah the deaths in the manga are so much more disrespectful😭 props to the jjk team, they've done a great job making them more emotional

LuciusArtoriusCastus

Remember when this show was about a bunch of goofy students and their eccentric and goofy teachers occasionally fighting curses and playing baseball together 😂

LuciusArtoriusCastus

Ngl when I read the manga I didn’t care about either Nanami or Nobara 😭 but I think the anime did a pretty good job at making it more emotional for me

Layla

mahito is not only breaking yuji soul by killing his loved ones but breaking the audience souls too 😭

Storm King

Even though I knew Nobara was not the strongest fighter I still guessed that her Resonance technique would work on Mahito because in my mind Straw Doll = Voodoo = Souls = Mahito weakness.

LuciusArtoriusCastus

One of the biggest themes in jjk is selfishness and selflessness and how both are treated by the world. It’s always the selfish in jjk who survive and the selfless who die mirroring how society exploits those who are too selfless. Gege is very brutal with his deaths and I understand why people don’t like it but idk, for me I think the deaths are good. They’re realistic in the context of the world it’s in and I think both Nanami and nobaras deaths were very important thematically. Just my opinion

LuciusArtoriusCastus

She broke the biggest cycle in jujutsu society. “Sorcerers never die without regret” - Yaga (btw I don’t even think she’s dead, Gege just been trolling us all these years)

souma shou

"I need a gojo catchy up" famous last words 💀

Bibi

I swear not even Toji can save Gege from me after I'm done with his ass 😡 🔪 Gege is the real enemy for us JJK fans...sorry Thorfinn but I have an enemy and his name is Gege Akutami....Anyways I'm holding a group therapy session at my house if anyone is interested (JJK and AOT fans are more than welcome) 🙏

Danny C

Totally agree^ I also don’t think the deaths were “disrespectful” in any way. They both got very touching send offs. I also find it a bit of a breath of fresh air that a main character isn’t safe in the story. It feels very “attack on titan” and I’m fine with that darker tone

Cactuar Nick

Haven't listened to the end thoughts yet but I just had to say, the saddest part is that Yuji was just saying how he was thanking her for not feeling so alone, he was feeling alone after Nanami, and then he saw the Resonance and knew it was Nobara and that brought him out, only to have him watch her die in front of him so now he's all alone again. Each reaction rewatch is hitting hard.

RepliCant

Death doesn't meant to be respectful on a war, is just like that, death.

Julien

Slowly but surely buckling up for Hypekyuu S3…🔥

Vid08

Dropped JJK way back I can’t take it 😭

LuciusArtoriusCastus

@Danny C 100% agree that deaths like these raise the stakes for the show because now you know that no one is safe. It adds to the experience imo

Uchiha With Some Gas

i like when author is ruthless, because it is annoying when you watch other shows and main cast always has that plot armor that helps them to win every fight or not die when you’re supposed, like bleach for example

Steve.

Like I said, killing characters is fine. I personally feel that in this show it is not handled well and just feels gross

Claire Park

can't wait for hypekyuu S3🥹🥹🥹

Martina

I will never forgive Gege for Nobara, she has so much potential. I will always believe she is still alive, she just lost an eye... right? :D

Maxine

The Shibuya Arc is actually the beginning of the We're All Suffering Arc where the main theme is "but wait...THERE'S MORE" and it is never-ending 🥲

sav

its clearer in the manga, but when nobara falls to the ground, you can actually see her eyeball falling out too if you slow it down. gege when i catch you gege

Martina

sorry Thorfinn but I have an enemy 😂 us jjk fans are really losing it

Cayseron

fine, ill play the villain. someone has to say it. everyone kept asking for this to happen to "useless" sakura yet here she is still alive and kicking in boruto in spite of all the flaws and shitty aspects of her character. Meanwhile Nobara that is literally everything sakura should have been and proper female character done right. Strong and well written in every way, killed off like that with underhanded (pun not intended) tactics. life is just not fair :(

Martina

oh and how could I forget. MAHITO HATE CLUB REPORTING FOR DUTY

Martina

Yuta is patting zebras with Miguel 🤣 you guys are too much

Night Sterling

Kinda sounds like you're upset the author actual hurt you with the character death instead of just making you sad

Steve.

Right, it can’t just be that I think the writing is bad. No can’t be

LuciusArtoriusCastus

@Night Sterling tbh I don’t actually care if she comes back 💀 I didn’t care when she died either, but I do think Gege is going for a plot twist. I don’t want to go into too much detail but I remember an interview when Gege said that either everyone in the main group will die but one, or only one dies and everyone survives, we still don’t know which one it is but it looks like yuji might be the only survivor. But the fact he told us this is too predictable which is why I think he’s just misleading us, I think in the end, out of the main group (gojo, megumi, nobara, yuji) only yuji will die. Also the fact that Noabaras death is so open ended whereas usually deaths in JJK are extremely certain. Same with another character I won’t say for the sake of spoilers (the chopped fish)

Night Sterling

Uh huh then you do understand that the deaths are meant to be "disrespectful" to the characters considering who was doing the killing and the reason he was doing it. To the audience though...dont know where you got that from.

Mango

In JJK the bad guys win more than the good guys. :,) Even if the good guys win somehow it doesn't feel like a win. We have lost too much already.

Steve.

Ok, then stop commenting and move on. You don’t have to come to the defense of a show you like. Notice how I only expressed my personal opinion and didn’t try to talk anyone else out of theirs. A respectful exchange can be had

Night Sterling

Don't celebrate yet because they could still show us her face next ep because that's how the chapter of the manga opens

Zeli

That moment when Yuji got his body back and he's watched 2 more people he cares about die within 15minutes...

Lemonaded

When I read this in the manga at work I was so crushed. I actually threw my water bottle against the wall so hard it exploded. Gege when I find you, I swear...

Decaf

I was wondering how they would animate eyeball part and yep there it was. Just popped out.

Shaw

It's not an issue. There's only one main character and it's Yuji.

Noctis

my top 2... back to back

Jason

Love the reaction yall. About Nobara's last words (and Nanami's): Keep in mind in the JJK Universe, it was mentioned before but easy to forget, someone's final words hold a lot of weight. You can end up cursing someone. So, if it feels like their final words aren't a bit personal it's because they fully are aware that they don't want to leave a curse on someone. P.S: Which is why in JJK 0 when Gojo appears before Geto at Geto's final moments, Gojo says something to Geto but it's muted. Geto smiles and says, "You should have at least cursed me in the end" because he felt that was more deserving for the awful things he knows that he's done.

ChrisBrah-4

as soon as mahito broke into pieces i straight away knew his goal the bastard

Htatki

You mean the guy that don't even know a Cursed Technique and the only power up is punching harder? Yeah good luck.

Ariadne

About Nobara's last words, don't know if it's a translation issue or something, but I once saw a translate version in manga was something like "tell everyone it's actually not bad I get to know you guys" Don't know if this is the right version, but I kinda like this one cus it seems related to the scenes where everyone Nobara cares sitting in the chair around her. Still "Life wasn't bad after all" is okay with me, it make me feel like she's kind of in relief when she actually know she's gonna die, and decided she doesn't regret for anything in her life, which is one thing I really like about Nobara.

Aizensalami

She actually said: "tell everyone, it was n't bad". She didn't elaborate more, and left it for Yuuji cause he'll understand her. Though I think the later is more accurate because it links with her back story more.

The Great Santini

You're not cool with this comment because you're implying that this is going to happen again and again, which in essence is a spoiler. You could have made the same comment without the last sentence. Why do you feel the need to "subtly" (yeah right) ruin people's anticipation for the future?

The Great Santini

Lol I couldn't disagree more. What's disrespectful about killing a character? Especially with the last 2 deaths we had, both characters had multiple episodes in which they were badass and had their moments. Honestly the complaints about this show's character deaths just sound like teenagers being overly salty about their "favorite characters" being gone. I don't even understand the saltiness. I ENJOY when media makes me feel sad/upset about things. That means it's doing what it's supposed to do. I love many typical shounen anime (like DBZ) in which no one dies but there's a reason why more modern shows like this have an impact on me as an adult and it's because there are actual stakes.

The Great Santini

Dude when the VA said her name with just the MOST pain and confusion in his voice is when I shed a couple of tears. No joke.

The Great Santini

You realize you just spoiled me and I'm sure a few others who might have been holding out hope. Wow. Getting spoiled on a wholesome channel's comment section is sick. Gotta love anime fans.

The Great Santini

I don't want to come off whiny here but the JJK fans that are a part of this Patreon community need to learn how to take a character's death without taking it personally. "Oh no, my favorite character died so I'm going to slightly color the perception of the rest of the series for others who are anime-only." How hard is it to just... NOT talk about the future of the series?(obviously not referring to speculation, of course)

Martina

how? I'm literally only talking about things that happened in the anime

LuciusArtoriusCastus

Gojo: “love is the most twisted curse” Geto: “you should have at least hit me with some curses at my end” Geto says he should’ve been cursed, to Gojo, love is a curse. Whatever he said at the end was probably heartfelt. Ig Geto didn’t understand that he was cursed, just not in the literal/traditional Jujutsu sense

LuciusArtoriusCastus

@Nguyen Anh Quan Ayt bro stay on that side when Yuji becomes the most powerful sorcerer 🙏😭 Gege cooking up something devious with yuji 🗣️🙏😭

Khalayx

I reacted to this episode kind of like Ange did to the last one. Which is also I guess why I put off the rewatch/reaction all week. Bleh, I'm still invested in the show and will keep watching, and the creators have built up a lot of goodwill. But I have kind of a hard time seeing how this gets enjoyable again. The Nobura / Itadori / Fushiguro trio was the best part of the show for me; without her the two remaining just feel like a typical shonen duo. At this point the main thing I want to know is what all the build-up with Tengen was at the start of the season.

noya22

"There are only so many seats open in my life, and I don't want my heart swayed by anyone who's not sitting in one of them. Of course, there are also people like you (Itadori) who bring their own seat and sit down." -Nobara, S1EP24
