Also this is the episode where you see Pu from Yu Yu Hakusho as a cell phone key charm. Incidentally, I watched the Yu Yu Hakusho live action and it was legitimately terrible. So...that sucks x.x

Oh definitely check it out for yourself and don't rely on my opinion. I didn't have any MAJOR complaints beyond some nit picking in the first two episodes. It wasn't until the third episode that it lost me entirely. They tried to condense everything through the dark tournament arc in five episodes. x.x

It was actually Askeladd's voice actor during the desert scene and Dimple's voice actor is the huge guy talking to the boss at the end of the episode (41) !!

"Of course I assumed it's a male...that's sickening of me" omg that took me OUT 😂 Also, I'm not sure if Kurapika would recognize a Troupe member just by seeing them; I think he'd only know if he saw they had the spider tattoo. Just thinking back to when he faced the blue man who pretended to be a Troupe member to intimidate him - Kurapika didn't base his realization that he was a fake based off of what the man looked like (as in, whether he was familiar-looking or not), but because he recognized the tattoo was a fake

The Phantom Troupe actually have some big name VA's. You guys may, or may not, recognize some roles, but just to list in case anyone else is interested. I'll keep it simple and list two roles per character: Boss -> Light (Death Note) / Amai Mask (OPM) / Okabe (Steins;Gate) Uvogin -> Dimple (Mob) / Rider (Fate Zero) / Thorkell (Vinland Saga) Pakunoda -> Hange (AOT) / Ed (FMA) Feitan -> Usopp (OP) / L (Death Note) Nobunaga -> Askeladd (Vinland Saga) / Madara (Naruto) Hisoka -> Oikawa (Haikyuu) / Gilbert (Violet Evergarden) The York New arc is where HxH starts to ramp up! Edit: Added a couple more roles

I think he also sensed that the man was not dangerous the way a Troupe member is. Neither Gon nor Killua found him threatening, so it would make sense that Kurapika would pick up the same vibes.
