The chrollo/zeno thing was, chrollo was fighting to steal abilities, not kill (the guy is fighting with a book open lol) because he can’t kill and steal at the same time (remember he has to fullfill conditions). Zeno was saying if chrollo actually fought to kill he may have won. But if he’s only trying to steal abilities he’d probably lose.

https://youtu.be/0cBa1Mjv8qw?si=96mqenBcdLpPKKRR Here is a good comparison between the 1999 version and the 2011 version of Kurapika after the bidding war. Again, I prefer the 2011 version but the 1999 version definitely captured the tone of the manga better in some places. In the 1999 version, it's made very clear that Kurapika is completely shattered emotionally.

the simultaneous OHHHH and headtilt was so funny xD always love twos reaction

Guys allow me to explain just a little, the confusion with Chrollo and Zeno. Chrollo said to not attack the ambulance where the Neon was in. That's because if she dies, her ability dissapear from Chrollo's book. And now, Chrollo said he couldn't steal Zoldyicks abilities, which means, he wasn't trying to kill them. That's the logic from Zeno's words "Unless you are trying to kill me". Zeno understood that Chrollo wasn't trying to kill him. In the given situation, which means, Chrollo not trying to kill him, Zeno wins most likely. If Chrollo actually intent to kill Zeno, it's a different story. Hope the best for you in this new year guys!

Chrollo was trying to steal Zeno’s ability. Zeno was saying Chrollo would win if he tried to kill Zeno instead of trying to steal Zeno’s ability.

the real question is what's better to say, Kurapika or Fukurodani? jokes aside, this 4 episode stretch is by far my favorite in HxH. I know most people's favorite arc is the last one (no spoilers), but to me, this is perfection. and "Kurapika is now drowning in an indescribable emptiness" is another iconic moment!

The fortune changing was nen. They didn't make it explicit (which rarely happens in anime) but there's no way it changes midway. It's just a piece of a paper once it's written. If showing them the prophecy changes it, chrollo would have to write a new one to reflect those changes. The paper didn't change on it's own as nothing in the show's universe establishes such a thing and we know Hisoka can use 'texture surprise" to change the look of things. Again, it just wasn't explicit and I think the translation caused some confusion.

in some places yes, but in other places definitely not. people go a little too collective mentality regarding it saying how the 1999 was better overall and use one clip to suggest that. but you can look at the music choices (the 1999 version legit uses stock music at places) and the directing (look at uvo vs shadow beasts of both versions) to see the improvements. also in the 1999 he wasn't any more shattered than the 2011 version, it was just drawn darker and more artistically. it's still clear in this version that he's shattered. It's the bright coloring that doesn't add the same effect.

First off, implying that someone is simply going along with "collective mentality" is not only rude and presumptuous, it's flat out wrong. Secondly, saying "He wasn't any more shattered than the 2011 version, it was just drawn darker and more artistically" shows your ignorance on the subject. If you knew literally anything about color theory, you'd understand how important those color choices are at conveying tone. Try telling a comic book artist how little the color choice matters. Also as for it being drawn "more artistically", that was a conscious choice to mirror Togashi's signature heavy brush style which he uses for his most emotional moments. Considering the manga is the original work in the medium which the story was initially intended to be experienced, the work that more accurately reflects that is the work that conveys the tone more accurately. Case in point: Ange is asking "how strong is Kurapika's nen without his condition? Who can he beat?" He's asking about what comes next for Kurapika as a fighter when that scene is SUPPOSED to convey that Kurapika is done; at the end of his rope with his life's goal achieved but not by his own hands and he's falling apart under the weight of his emotions. Because the tone of that scene was not as well conveyed. Lastly, you bringing up the Uvo fight and putting all these words in my mouth shows that you didn't actually read my comment. You skimmed through it looking for something to object to without actually taking the time to read the full comment to understand what I was saying. This says to me that you weren't looking to drive a conversation forward, you were looking to "Well, actually...." someone on the internet. Next time you're looking to do that, make sure you actually have a leg to stand on. Not only are your "points" invalid at best, flat out wrong at worst, but your entire comment reeks of the exact thing you were accusing me of. Each point is just the same old recycled arguments and examples. But I'm not so rude as to accuse you of following a group mentality and not being able to form an informed opinion of your own. I get it; you're insecure and you make yourself feel better by weaponizing your half learned anime "knowledge" in order to put others down in order to make yourself look better by comparison to your own perspective. I know you can think for youself; you're just not very good at it. And that's fine, but my guy you've gotta pick your targets better in the future. Now I know that you're going to clap back, but I'm gonna save you the trouble. Whatever you reply with, I'm not going to read or even pay attention to. You officially lost any right to speak to me when you were so presumptuous as to assume I couldn't think for myself. Now despite me saying this, you're still going to comment back instead of just taking your lumps like a grownup because again, you're incredibly insecure and haven't learned that if you're going to run your mouth, occasionally someone is going to put a fist through it. Which is kind of just proving my point. 🤷‍♂️

The fortunes are 100% accurate. But if you know your fortune, you can change it. The ability Hisoka uses to change things is called “texture surprise.” Hisoka’s fortune didn’t say he would lose to chrollo. It’s saying he will leave the phantom troupe.

Buddy, did you actually read my comment carefully? Because you presumed a whole bunch of stuff my comment never implied and then wrote some long diatribe. The Uvo stuff wasn't putting words in your mouth. I implore you to actually go back and read. If you had actually read carefully, I agreed with *one* aspect of your comment then added my own thoughts. It wasn't putting words in your mouth. And did you actually state no collective mentality exist and it's flat-out wrong? Buddy, again, did you misread and assumed I was talking about you? I said PEOPLE, which is based on the stuff I've read on youtube. And it's laughable you say something like that when I've very recently just read a flat-out incorrect comment with the most likes on a video about a subject that's actually local to my area so I know it's explicitly incorrect. You'd have to be naïve to think collective mentality doesn't exist in platforms with like/dislike, upvote/downvote system. It's well proven and observed (I've partaken myself from time to time in just impulsively disliking/liking stuff) and you clearly impulsively responded here after failing basic reading comprehension. Otherwise your comment makes no sense here. And your color theory remark. No shit I know it affects tone. I literally stated THE BRIGHT COLORS DOESN"T HAVE THE SAME EFFECT" literally in the FINAL SENTENCE OF MY PREVIOUS COMMENT. Again, did you actually read or did you just skim? I said the color doesn't really convey whether or not someone is MORE shattered or not, not that it has no affect on tone. Read, dude. That lies more in how the specifics of the face is drawn or exposition (which this show isn't shy of when it literally states kurapika is drowning in sadness). It also makes no sense when you consider other visual mediums that don't have the same freedom of coloring. In film for example, would you say a character is more shattered just because the scene is lit with less light? That's stupid. Again, it lies more in other details and variables. And sorry, you using what Ange is asking to suggest the tone of the scene wasn't conveyed as well? No offense, I like them, I'm obviously a pateron which means I do like them as reactors, but the fact that you have multiple comments here having to explain what the chrollo/silva thing was about and how hisoka *did* use nen to change his fortune but the show was unusually less explicit than anime normally is...like, idk why you're using that as an example that something was not conveyed correctly. " because again, you're incredibly insecure and haven't learned that if you're going to run your mouth, occasionally someone is going to put a fist through it. Which is kind of just proving my point. 🤷‍♂️" Lol are you mentally ill?

the first 4 verses in the fortunes correspond to the week they are currently living so all the things regarding "selling secrets" and especially the "11th moon's secret" is what hisoka has already done, he told kurapika everything he knew about the members he's familiar with. Same thing with the 11th moon's rising, he died and the remaining months of the calendar mourned and played the requiem in his honor.

Raul Velazquez

Happy you guys are really getting into it now, I can comfortably say this is one of my top 3 favorite animes. The writing and character development is elite. This arc was really great but it’s not the best arc in the series imo, the chimera ant arc was next level.

Kolton Nay

The "moon rises" just means his soul goes to heaven I think. and the way I took Zeno's comment is that this time Chrollo wasn't trying to kill them, but to try to steal their powers, and if they ever fought again, Chrollo would probably still just try to steal their powers, so Zeno'd probably win. But if Chrollo ever switched gears and actually go for the kill, it might be more dicey for Zeno.

They said they'll add it to their list, so it's either to become available through polling or just added to their schedule. Either way a good decision given how popular it probably will be.

Abd Salahat

We need 6 episodes per week 💙💙

Karan Reddy

Basically Chrollo would win if he didn’t care about stealing Zeno’s technique, which requires Zeno to be alive.

The point is that they agreed not about the # of likes, how didn’t you get that ? Are you 5 ?😉

Anthony Snow-young

Zeno was definitely saying he’d win a regular 1v1 but wouldn’t win a bloodlusted (100%) fight
