Saitama's training regime is OP for real.

Zakai

They’ll explain what the concept is. But you’ll see that it’s not really the same as other « Isekai ».

UDONOWABOUTME

At the end of ep 2 he cleared the secret quest courage of the weak . In the temple where he was. That gave him a qualification to become a player and the others who fled have not cleared it so he is the only one .

Stefanie

I won't say more than than your questions will be answered about the reason behind everything that is happening but it won't be this season. At least I don't expect it to. There is more world building and character development needed before the over-arching plot is addressed. 😊 I'm enjoying the theories and the discussion at the end. Looking forward to how much the two of you get right. 😉

The studio knows how to keep you wanting more of the episodes cause these cliffhangers are mean 😂

I think it’s understandable why jinwoo choose to only upgrade his strength skills and nothing else. All his life since he’s been a hunter he’s been called a weakling and a liability now he gets a power where he can upgrade himself and he’s choosing to only upgrade his strength comes from his desires of wanting strength to fight for himself and not to rely on another’s. Ironically a rookie mistake who does who play video games with a system like this

Matthew Clark

So this isn’t a spoiler, the only problem in the anime is the screen they show when he “dies” flashes away too quick lol. You legit need to pause it and read what it says. The whole dungeon was a test. Everyone else that died because they didn’t listen or fled failed the test. He was the only one who stayed so he is the only one to receive the award. Which is this game like upgrade system.

I like how they threw in the gate reporter lady there. It really helped set up the aesthetic.

RepliCant

I didn't read the original source but I think he got that power for completing the test in that first dungeon 🤔

Nymph

It might be against your preferences, but the show won't be giving you any explanation in the immediate future. A precise explanation of the show itself is at least 4 seasons away.

Don't think this is spoiler but to clarify so far. He earned his leveling system by clearing the hidden dungeon. although other players survived because they made it out alive he was the only one who stayed until the timer ran out and was technically alive to cleared the hidden condition to become a player, which is why he was rewarded with his system. Although his system provided him with game like features such as quest, rewards, stat points, etc it is all real from his perspective not some transportation into a game like i believe u guys are thinking.

i dont think its anything behind the scene or a simulation, it was stated he passed some kind of quest when he survived that temple dungeon, it said he then qualified to become a player, so it 'unlocked' a stat and skill line of sorts for surviving that temple, which it seems is a very unique case, also, i dont believe he will ever really has a second awakening or even grows his mana, i think he becomes much stronger by just whatever stats he gets, he said he literally felt stronger so i imagine that it augements his body physically rather than increasing his mana

I'm so glad you guys are reacting to Solo Leveling! I finished the manhwa recently and it's so good! The art is incredible and the story too despite it's straightforwardness had some twists that I didn't predict at all, and the MC is just epic. The anime is doing it justice so far with very minor directional changes but overall sticking to the original story which I love. I really hope they will animate the whole manhwa but that's not for sure yet, regardless I hope you guys enjoy this show cos there's a lot more to come from now on, but of course no spoilers! :D Also it's interesting that the crunchyroll Japanese dub kept their original Korean names while Netflix dub where I watch has their names in Japanese, so I got confused for a bit lol.
