You guys should have watched the directors cut for the last episode the ending feels a little incomplete without the directors cut

Rem was vanished from existence in another timeline, so that would not have been related to the blank letter. That being said, I feel like the black letter should come up again, because that's way to dangerous of a mistake to make carelessly. More likely, someone was trying to sabotage the Crush-Emilia alliance (just my theory)

Subaru wrote "Die" in the the gospel, as in Betelgeuse should just drop dead. Also Carlie, hold on to those thoughts about Betelgeuse.

A couple things 1. The reason Wilhelm killed Betelgeuse so quick before was because they sneak attacked him from behind before he was aware. Julius still handled him but without a manner to see his hands he needed Subaru and he was basically fighting in third person and needed to ramp up to kill him. Otherwise he would’ve folded him fast. 2. Subaru wrote something like “the end” in the gospel. 3. Based on your discussions I think you guys will come to the correct conclusion to what happened with the blank letter soon.

Do you guys also plan to watch the OVAs or jumping right into season 2? The first ova takes place inbetween episodes 11 and 12. The other OVA is more Emilia centered about her past

Yes this ending is better than the Director’s cut if you’re going to watch Season 2 directly after it. Do people not remember that the post-credit scene for the director’s cut is LITERALLY the first scene of Season 2? Why would someone go out of their way to watch it twice. It’s one thing if someone is already watching the Director’s cut, but they aren’t lmao.

The directors cut is what the people working on the show wanted to add they couldn’t add it bc it would have exceeded the time limit for the episode the same with 1a and 1b of the anime the directors cut is the way the ppl wanted us to see but it couldn’t make the cut

Thanks for watching Re:zero, this is my favorite anime, i love the characters, worldbuilding, and history, this is seeing with u guys my 5th time ive see it and love your reaction, cant wait for season 2, and hope you guys could see first the 2 OVAs and then start the 2nd season. Btw the 3rd season is coming this year. Love you both so much.

This is from, a article 10 RE:ZERO DIRECTOR'S CUT The "Director's Cut" of the first season has longer episodes, that are mostly two from the original combined into one. This alternate version also extends certain scenes, fixes a few censorship issues, and has everything (including the OVA) in chronological order. The cherry on top is that the ending also includes a scene that was cut out of the original season

The changes between the director’s cut are so minimal when compared to the original series. It literally doesn’t matter either way. This ending is perfectly fine when they are watching the whole series. If Season 1 were the only season available then it would make sense. But there is zero reason to go and watch the last episode of the director’s cut when they’ll be seeing the SAME scene as the first scene of Season 2. Season 1’s end is a good satisfying wrap on that arc while they watch the OVAs.
