Chapter 6: The Collector's Prize
Asgard [The Next Morning]
The grand, shattered chamber of the Bifrost was eerily quiet, save for the hum of repaired Asgardian skiffs.
Naruto, dressed in a new black combat tunic reinforced with Aether-infused fibers—a silent concession to Hela’s preference for his darker aesthetic—stood by the massive gold control deck. Beside him, Valkyrie, looking sharp and professional in her own armor, stood guard, her gaze fixed on the entrance.
“So, to be clear,” Thor said, walking up with Mjolnir’s hilt strapped to his back (a gift from Odin, even if it had been tragically shattered), his one good eye focused intently. “We are trusting the God of Destruction, who is married to the Goddess of Death, to collect objects of unimaginable power, all while leaving the only competent schemer, my brother, in charge of Asgard.”
Loki, leaning against a broken pillar, gave a dramatic sigh. “Flattery will get you everywhere, brother. But yes, the arrangement is necessary. Someone must ensure Hela doesn't decide the Asgardian treasury is better used as kindling for a new conquest, and someone must manage the crowds chanting 'Long Live the Queen.'”
“And someone has to look for that gauntlet,” Naruto interjected, giving the glowing blue Space Stone he held in his palm a casual flip. The stone pulsed, its power responding obediently to his will, a fact that made both Thor and Loki visibly tense.
Hela sauntered into the room, wearing a simple, dark green dress that somehow looked more threatening than her armor. She stopped directly between Naruto and Valkyrie, effectively cutting off the concubine.
“The deal stands,” Hela announced, her green eyes piercing Thor. “You acknowledge me as Queen, you help Naruto find the tools to make me fertile—and thus, secure our line—and I cease unnecessary carnage. Unnecessary being the operative word.” She turned to Naruto, her voice dropping to a low, possessive purr. “I trust the explanation of my concubine’s role was sufficiently detailed last night, husband?”
Naruto met her gaze, a slight smirk playing on his lips. “Perfectly detailed, Queen.” He leaned closer to her ear. “You were so detailed, in fact, that I believe I owe Valkyrie a thorough explanation of my own when I return. Perhaps in front of you, as you requested.”
Hela’s eyes flashed with a dangerous mix of anger and excitement—a perfect signal of her masochistic nature. She raised a hand, ostensibly to adjust his collar, but instead, raked a sharp nail lightly across his neck, just drawing the faintest hint of crimson.
“Make sure you do,” she whispered, her lips brushing his earlobe. “And do not think for a moment that my concession means I’ve forgotten the whore kept my place warm. I want progress on that fertility issue immediately.”
She gave Valkyrie a dismissive, superior look before turning and sweeping out of the room, leaving the air thick with tension.
Valkyrie, whose face had remained a professional mask during the exchange, finally moved, stepping up to Naruto's side as soon as Hela was gone.
“The Queen is displeased, Master,” Valkyrie murmured, her voice tight, a hint of defiance flashing in her eyes despite the formal title.
“She is merely confirming her position, Brunnhilde,” Naruto corrected, using her birth name, a private gesture that always broke through her reserve. He placed a hand on her shoulder, feeling the familiar tension under her armor. “She is Queen of Asgard, but you are the mother of my child, and my champion. Your value is understood.”
He didn't need to say the rest: Hela does not know about the child. Keep your distance on this mission.
Thor, watching the silent, charged exchange between the two, rubbed his eye socket awkwardly. “Right. So, the mission. Loki has identified a potential lead. The Infinity Stone known as the Reality Stone, or the Aether, was last contained on a world called Vormir, but that was centuries ago. More recently, it was sought by the Dark Elves. The Tesseract’s energy signature suggests it is now in the possession of a powerful, and eccentric, collector known as Taneleer Tivan—The Collector.”
Loki nodded. “The Collector is a known associate of Thanos. If anyone has multiple Stones, it’s him. He operates from a massive station known as Knowhere. It is a trading post and museum built in the severed head of a Celestial being.”
“Knowhere,” Naruto repeated, turning the Space Stone. “A severed head. Fitting. Valkyrie, you know the fastest routes to the edges of the galaxy. Get us there. Thor, try not to get struck by any more lightning on the way.”
Knowhere [The Collector’s Archive]
The journey through the Bifrost, controlled by the Space Stone and guided by Valkyrie's piloting, was jarringly fast. They emerged light-years away from Asgard, approaching the bizarre, immense skull-shaped mining colony.
They left their ship—a stolen Asgardian longboat repurposed with Sakaaran stealth tech—hidden deep within the head’s cranium. They moved through the bustling, lawless trading post, a maze of alien vendors, criminals, and bizarre genetic experiments.
Naruto was still in his orange and black gear, Valkyrie in her full armor, and Thor in his torn Asgardian gear, his remaining eye gleaming. They looked less like gods and more like extremely aggressive space pirates.
“The Collector’s Archive is this way,” Valkyrie muttered, leading them down a narrow, bioluminescent passage. “He trades in rare, powerful, and often living artifacts. The security will be extreme.”
“Security won't be a challenge,” Naruto scoffed, his gaze sweeping over the crowd. He activated his Destruction Aura, but only enough to coat his fingertips. It wasn't visible, but it made any nearby beings with keen senses (or criminal intent) involuntarily shy away from their group.
They entered the vast, glass-walled archive, a dizzying museum of caged oddities. At the center stood a meticulously organized display, protected by energy shields and reinforced crystalline walls.
And there, pulsing with an intense, sickly red light, was the Reality Stone, suspended inside a small, sealed glass vial.
“There it is,” Thor whispered, his hand instinctively gripping the hilt of his weapon.
“Too easy,” Naruto cautioned. He looked around. Taneleer Tivan, a gaunt, white-haired alien dressed in an immaculate maroon suit, approached them, smiling thinly.
“Ah, the Asgardian delegation. Or what remains of it,” The Collector purred, circling them like a vulture. “I had heard Odin had finally perished. Shame. Though, I am far more intrigued by the addition of the God of Destruction to your ranks. A truly rare specimen.”
“We’ll skip the small talk, Collector,” Naruto said, stepping forward. “We’re here for the Reality Stone. Name your price.”
The Collector chuckled, a dry, rattling sound. “The Reality Stone? Impossible. It is my crown jewel! But… I am a connoisseur of the truly unique. I noticed your personal guard, the last Valkyrie. A fascinating specimen of loyalty and rage.”
He focused his pale eyes on Valkyrie, who tensed visibly.
“I will trade the Reality Stone for the immediate, unconditional ownership of the last Valkyrie. A fair exchange, I believe,” Tivan concluded, smiling wider.
Valkyrie’s hand immediately went to her sword. “You’ll die before that happens, old man.”
“Don’t talk to my concubine like that,” Naruto warned, his voice low and dangerous. The temperature in the room seemed to drop, and the faint, corrosive purple energy began to leak from his pores.
“Concubine?” Tivan scoffed. “A mere pet, then. Even better! But I have a counter-offer. I have another exhibit you might find… nostalgic.”
Tivan snapped his fingers, and a section of the archive wall slid open, revealing a reinforced containment unit. Inside, suspended in a pale green cryogenic field, was a figure that made Naruto freeze.
It was a woman, beautiful and serene, with vibrant green eyes and long, golden-blonde hair. She was clad in ornate, flowing ceremonial robes. She was clearly an Asgardian, but her power signature was laced with something dark and chaotic—powerful magic.
“Amora, the Enchantress,” Tivan announced with a flourish. “A creature of unparalleled beauty and irresistible charm. I found her fleeing Asgard shortly after Odin’s death. I believe you know her well, God of Destruction.”
Naruto’s face darkened, the whisker marks on his cheeks seeming to twitch. This was the friend who vanished after his shotgun marriage to Hela, the one Odin and his father had warned him about—a powerful sorceress and manipulator.
“You trapped her,” Naruto growled, the purple energy intensifying, cracking the glass walls of nearby containment units.
“And now I offer you a deal,” Tivan said, unfazed. “The Reality Stone, and the Enchantress, for the unconditional surrender of the Valkyrie. Two for one. A bargain!”
“You insult the master, Tivan,” Valkyrie spat, stepping forward, ready to fight for her freedom and her master’s pride.
“She is not for sale,” Naruto declared, moving to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with Valkyrie. “Neither of them. We’re taking the Reality Stone now.”
“You challenge the Collector in his own archive?” Tivan asked, his smile finally dropping. “A grave error.”
Suddenly, the floor beneath them opened up. Thor roared in surprise as he fell, and Valkyrie reacted instantly, activating her ship’s stealth engines, which she wore as a wrist bracer, hovering in place. Naruto used his destructive aura to slow his own descent, landing neatly on the edge of the pit.
Below, they saw the pit was a massive, empty containment chamber. Thor was already crackling with lightning, ready to blast his way out.
“Tivan,” Naruto called out, his voice echoing with menace. “Release Amora and the Stone, or I will use my power to reduce this entire station to a fine, cosmic dust. Starting with your private parts.”
Tivan didn't respond, but the room was rapidly sealed. Valkyrie looked at Naruto, her eyes desperate. “Master, we have to go! We can’t fight his entire security force and Knowhere’s laws!”
Naruto didn't listen. His gaze was fixed on Amora’s containment unit. He remembered the innocent, demanding girl who had stood up for him after his parents died. His past relationship with Hela was born of power and necessity; his bond with Amora was built on genuine, shared history.
He raised his hand toward Amora's containment field. The purple aura pulsed, and with a terrible screeching sound, the reinforced crystalline field vaporized into nothingness. The power required was immense, and the heat generated was enough to instantly melt the surrounding machinery.
The cryogenic gas dissipated, and Amora, the Enchantress, floated down, landing lightly on her feet. Her green eyes fluttered open, locking instantly onto Naruto.
“Naruto,” she breathed, her voice filled with a mixture of relief, surprise, and a terrifying, ancient possession. “You finally came for me.”
Before Naruto could move, Amora smiled—a smile that promised both ecstasy and ruin. She waved her hand, and green, potent magic slammed into Valkyrie, sending the warrior crashing hard against a wall, her armor dented, the wind knocked out of her.
“The Valkyrie whore,” Amora sneered, her eyes raking over Valkyrie's submissive form. “How dull. You always did settle for less when I wasn’t around, darling.”
She moved with impossible speed, pressing her soft, magical body against Naruto’s chest. Her hands went behind his head, pulling him into a deep, aggressive kiss that radiated sheer, unadulterated magical lust.
Naruto, caught between the shock of her appearance, her immediate aggression toward Valkyrie, and the sheer, overwhelming rush of her powerful Asgardian magic, found himself momentarily paralyzed, but his body still reacted instantly.
Amora pulled back, her eyes shining with triumph and desire. “I’m taking you home, Naruto. I’m giving you a queen who chose you, not a goddess who merely uses you.”
She grabbed his hand, and before he could utilize the Space Stone, Amora warped them both away in a flash of vibrant green light.
Valkyrie groaned, pushing herself up from the dented wall, her sword clanging as it hit the ground. Thor, seeing the massive security force finally descending on them, shouted up from the pit.
“Valkyrie! The Stone! And my brother!”
Valkyrie stared at the empty space where her Master had been standing, then at the Reality Stone still suspended in its vial. Her lover, the father of her child, had been stolen by his jealous ex-friend—another powerful, beautiful woman who was clearly vying for the Harem Lead position.
She pushed down the rage, the fear, and the betrayal, knowing her survival depended on following his final command.
Valkyrie snatched the Reality Stone's vial from its suspension field. She looked down at Thor, then tossed it to him.
“You find Loki, Sparky! I’m finding my Master, and I’m finding the woman who thought she could claim what is mine!”
Valkyrie slammed her fist onto her bracer, and a moment later, she vanished in a flash of Asgardian light, leaving Thor alone in the pit, holding the Infinity Stone, facing an entire angry space station.
“This is getting ridiculous,” Thor muttered, readying his lightning.
Midgard
Amora, ignoring Naruto's protests, used her innate Aether-magic to forcefully teleport them far away from Knowhere, dumping them unceremoniously into a lavish, magically warded apartment in Midgard (Earth).
“Home,” Amora announced, her hands already stripping Naruto’s tunic from his body.
Naruto shoved her back, his eyes glowing crimson with barely contained destructive power. “Amora, stop this now. I’m married to Hela. And you attacked Valkyrie.”
Amora stopped, looking genuinely hurt. “You still carry the scent of that feral creature, and you mention Hela? That woman used you, Naruto! She used you as a attack dog to secure her throne. I ran away because I loved you, and I wouldn’t stand by and watch her destroy you!”
Her magic swirled around them, thickening the air, arousing the senses. The apartment was suddenly warm, scented with expensive, musky oils and the metallic tang of potent, raw magic.
“I heard you have a child with that Valkyrie creature,” Amora whispered, her voice laced with venomous jealousy. “A true betrayal. Hela can’t give you life. I can. I’ve mastered the arcane arts! I can give you an heir that is truly yours, our heir, born of two powerful people who chose each other from the start!”
She advanced, her hands running down his chest, tracing the healed scars left by the Valkyrie's whips and the bite marks Hela inflicted.
“I won’t tell Hela about your little pet having your child, but you have to choose now, Naruto,” Amora demanded, her face close enough that he could feel her rapid, shallow breath. “Choose the Goddess of Death, or choose the woman who will give you life and unending pleasure.”
Amora sealed the room with an ancient Asgardian spell, trapping them. She then used her magic to peel off her own robes, revealing a body that was still perfect, still the vision of seductive power he remembered from his youth.
“Choose, Naruto. Because either way, you are mine tonight.”
