Did you notice that the right hand of the Emperor does all the housework himself. Eugene was surprised to see him working and not have any workers and live in a very simple house

Just wondering... is this the best you can do with subs? with dramas like this, I'm actually grateful that i can understand the lines in the original language as they're intended. So many things get lost even with proper translation, and this thing has so many mistranslations, completely destroying the delicate nuances of the characters

She keeps the suits for herself lol, she wears them to disguise herself as a man like on this mission and her excuse to have them made is that they're for her fiancé, she doesn't actually send them to him. Gu Dongmae deciding not to kill but just injure her and Eugene helping with the mission, although out of affection for Go Aesin, still took an active part in prolonging Joseon's demise by helping the resistance 🥲

It would be crazy difficult to run in those sandals too. Lol. Aside from Dongmae recognising her eyes, it'd also probably be her build and movement too. Even though he hasn't come face-to-face with her many times, he observes every moment that he can really.

yeah I always can't help thinking that it would be so difficult to run with the sandals whenever I see the chase scene lol

The scene where Ae-shin falls after being shot by Dong-mae was filmed in one take, and Kim Tae-ri actually performed the fall herself. It must have been so painful… Dong-mae: “I shot a black bird. To stop it from flying.” In that brief moment, Dong-mae saw Ae-shin’s eyes and recognized her. He deliberately shot her in the leg instead of the heart. That’s love. Since Ae-shin’s leg was injured, she wouldn’t be able to carry out her resistance activities while recovering. From Dong-mae’s perspective, it was better for her to be injured by his bullet than to risk her life doing dangerous independence activities. It’s heartbreaking. His way of loving her is undoubtedly rough and sharp, but ever since he learned about her involvement in the resistance, he always tried to guide her toward less dangerous outcomes. Ae-shin always had suits tailored at the tailor shop, supposedly for her fiancé, but it was because she needed those suits for her resistance activities. Hee-sung eventually realized this, understanding why she tailored suits for him even though he hadn’t contacted her for ten years—it was because she was wearing them herself during her missions.
