Takashi Mori was one of the examples how the soldiers of Japanese Empire treated Joseon people. Koreans say it was not even closely portrayed, it was even harsher than the show.

Hina is not part of the Righteous Army, tho. Their mission is a bit different. Let’s say, she works for the Emperor and Lord Go. She is like a secret agent.

Aeshin wants to go with Eugene bcs to go to America, they need to get into a ship in Japan. So , the route is Joseon-Japan-America.

Yess, the honourable mention of the actor who plays Takashi Mori. He is actually Korean(like all other Japanese characters, there is no Japanese actor), he did great portraying Japanese who speaks Korean with a Japanese accent.👏👏

One last comment about Japan Korea Treaty. The minister was laughing when the minister of Foreign Affairs signed it and blew the candle. That was very symbolic. Bcs it was one of the important moments in losing sovereignty. In history: On November 18, 1905, Japan signed a protectorate treaty with Korea The treaty deprived Korea of its state independence Power in the country was transferred to the Japanese military administration Japan captured the imperial palace on November 17, 1905 Korean Emperor Kojong refused to sign the treaty Prime Minister Han Gyusol was escorted out of the meeting room The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and four ministers signed the treaty The treaty deprived Korea of the right to foreign policy and trade The treaty was annulled in 1965

I don’t have the energy to write a long comment, I’ve had two very tiring days but I very much enjoyed your reactions to Mr. Sunshine this weekend, excited for next one ❤️

Quite a few Korean actors are so impressive speaking different languages (mainly Japanese) even to the point of being able to seem like a native, lots of them in this drama alone! Takashi Mori‘s actor is one of them of course, he’s very good!

As for the list Mori has - it's a list of "mobs" a.k.a. the Righteous Army, which is different from the list of covert agents working directly under the emperor (like Song Yeong) Leo tried to get from Ms. Kang. Please note that Hina has access to Lord Lee Jeong-moon and also has a direct phone line connected to the emperor, but her name wasn't on the list (she's a covert agent, not part of the Righteous Army). Besides, the Righteous Army is more of a gathering of people ("nameless" as Ae-sin puts it) than an official organization, so there can't be a list that summarizes the entire participants. So the list that Mori has is one he has been compiling, rather than received from someone in one sheet of paper. I think the main focus is about the information power Mori has had on Joseon, rather than about "who gave the mob list to Mori?" As soon as he arrived, he already knew about Hui-seong starting a newspaper. Hui-seong's first special edition was issued on the same day Mori barged into Ae-sin's house with soldiers, which implies how fast his information works and how deeply and widely he's been keeping tabs on the situation in Joseon. Obviously he had many people reporting to him (Leo being one of them) and he has been gathering & compiling information in his own way. But then of course, it is only natural and right for us to ask who the spy is. I don't remember if that ever came to light, but if it didn't, I can only assume the writer was saying, "It's not important for us to know who that one person was, when the entire country got taken over by Japan because many people like that existed in Joseon during that time."

Just a note on the actor Kim Nam-Hee who plays Mori, you've seen him once albeit very briefly. In "Twenty-Five Twenty-One", he appeared as the clerk at the cell phone shop Hee-do and YI-jin went to when they cancelled their couple plan. He was wearing some goofy '90s hip-hop clothes w/ a bandana on his head. It think it was a cameo.
