It's crazy you guys are watching Eugene Choi and 001 at the same time.

I agree about Taeri being great even if it was her debut show. She was nominated for Best Actress right away , not for New Best Actress.

Mr. Sunshine was just her small screen debut. Her real debut was 2 years prior on the big screen in The Handmaiden where she did win Best New Actress. Speaking of, Harris, if you think of checking out this critically acclaimed movie, you might want to prepare yourself as it's a completely different role again for your queen with some "girl on girl" scenes.

Although The Patriot and Mr.Sunshine both tell stories of patriotism, there is no comparison. Don't get me wrong. I liked The Patriot, watched it several times. But that movie is the equivalent of just 1 episode of Mr. Sunshine. I continue to be astounded with the amount and quality of work that was put into this series, from the acting, writing, cinematography, directing, musical score, etc, Everything was done on a grand scale, that's why I call it a masterpiece. It's not something I would watch again and again like my other favorite shows as it puts my heart through the wringer every single time. But it's definitely up there in ranks, if not the highest of all kdramas I've seen.

Btw, Kim Taeri won Daesang-Grand Prize for her role JeongNyeon yesterday😍😍😍🥹

Another impressive fact about Kim Taeri's drama debut is that Mr Sunshine's writer and director pitched the part to her without showing her the script. They obviously had so much faith in her considering she hadn't done TV before, it was a huge budget production, and the ML was the famous Lee Byung-Hun.
