Luffy

My Dearest” is set around the 1636–1637 Qing invasion of Joseon, while “Mr. Sunshine” takes place in the late 19th century, during the decline of Joseon and the rise of the Korean Empire under increasing Japanese influence. When you really look at Korean history, it’s kind of wild—constant pressure and invasions from bigger powers like China and Japan, over and over again. The fact that Korea still exists today as it does is honestly pretty incredible. I guess that’s why some people say Korea is a country built by its people.

the fan is a part of him lol. I think its also symbolic cause it only goes away when he is holding a sword in its place

the subtitles here are so awful. For the first time Netflix did a better job at subbing than kocowa

it's Single's inferno Joseon era lol. Actually, I just realised that little trip to Hanyang was their first unofficial Date. They took a boat, went out to the big city, did a bit of shopping and watched a live perfomance at Usimjeong(it's actually a gisaeng house, like from Mr. Queen). This was their paradise date lol!

🤷 this is the copy I can get to get the videos out on a weekly basis.

its just that there is a lot of dialogue and info getting lost in the translation

If you watched episode 4 with kocowa subs, in the last scene when Janghyun saves them, Gilchae actually says, "Husband, watch out!', not "My dear, watch out!'. She uses the term 'Seobangnnim' which is like an older term for nampyeon. It's such an important scene in the drama. Cause she is literally crying in her dream for her husband to come and save her and few seconds later, he is there, doing just that!

Thanks for the clarification. We figured that is what it was when that part came up
