The drama gets more intense as it develops. It is such an emotional and tightly written thriller, with no cliches and with actually intelligent characters including the cops. It's one of my favorite thriller dramas in general, regardless of the country of origin.

Chinese movies and dramas are multiple levels above Korean stuff. Acting, writing, overall cultural depth & talent... not even a competition. Glad finally you'll see it.

It's absurd because of the heavy censorship. There is no place where c-dramas are more popular except in china.

If 1 billion isn't enough for "popularity" then oh well. K-drama and K-pop reached their peaks a couple years ago. Aready on their way down. Only Koreans don't know that.

Why would China need to "overcome" Korea? It's a country smaller than one of their local districts. It's Korea that needs to keep overcoming China in order to survive, not the other way around - history proves that. Going back to the topic of pop culture, Korea needs to be wary of the rise of China and keep trying to make good cultural products, rather than drinking champagne over the glory of so-called "K-culture" that's already ending.

Unfortunately, Chinese celebrities have little recognition in Korea or other countries. Rather, Chinese kpop singers who debuted in Korea will be the most famous.

Nothing "unfortunate" about it - it's only natural because K-pop has been popular for many years. All I'm saying is K-pop or K-drama is losing its steam, whereas C-drama or C-pop keeps on growing. It's like J-pop back in the days - J-pop had a lot more fans than K-pop, but now nobody cares about it. Now K-pop is walking the exact same path J-pop did - unless Koreans realize it and fix it.

I doubt that will ever happen. It might be faster for Korea to become a truly democratic country - just because they can vote doesn't mean they're democratic.

subscribed again because i saw you guys react to cdramas! i haven’t seen reset yet or pursuit of jade but i know the actors in it and am excited to watch! the actor in this is in another cdrama called the first frost which was my favorite cdrama of 2025, maybe you guys will get to it at some point :)
