I know you guys might be confused about this scene, but the reason Sang Yan called Jiaxu 26 when he’s supposed to be 24 is actually because of the traditional Chinese age system (Xu Sui)! In China, you're 1 year old at birth and get a year older at Lunar New Year. Sang Yan purposely used the oldest traditional number just to dramaticize how 'old' Jiaxu is compared to his sister. Such a clever cultural detail!

Spot on! Even though Xu Sui isn’t commonly used in modern C-dramas anymore, Lusi loves incorporating cultural details like this. There are definitely a few more subtle cultural aspects in this drama that might confuse international fans!
