The phrase itself can sound a little startling, but it’s a familiar expression that older people in the Gyeongsang region used to say, so it doesn’t sound awkward in that dialect. It’s also been used in dramas before, so it has something of a catchphrase quality to it. That’s why Woobin, even though he’s from Jeju, says it in Busan dialect, he’s using it playfully, like quoting a famous line. But saying the same thing in standard Korean or another regional dialect would sound really strange… lol.
