HOT DOG BUN BUTTS

Comments

Sharon

It’s 12:32 in the morning in 2021 and somehow I am only just now down this rabbit hole

Nicky Shinn

I feel like I've missed something

Lacey Waldorf

Dear that person who made an Avatar: the Last Airbender reference in their sign-off: I gotchu

Lucka Kelbl

Why would you have the buns pre-cut? What the hell, America?

Lucka Kelbl

I totally get why you would have cuts in-between buns to separate them, though presumably they would tear off fairly easily anyway, I just don't know why you would have them already sliced in half as well. But I guess to each their own.

Jamie

lol thanks for answering my question! and the very informational demonstration of slicing buns. my dad actually posed the question to me while we were eating hot dogs one night and it has been bothering me ever since, i knew my local advice podcast would come through for me! 😊

Rylie Ellison

But which part is the butt??? That is the only thing I will still confused about after the podcast.

Maggie Needham

Yes! I was so excited to get the reference and so disappointed (but not surprised) that John and Hank didn't get it.

Kayla DeCant

I'm so glad you made this because OMG I was so lost

Combat Ostrich

not gonna lie I'm even more confused now than I was listening to the podcast

CthulhuCultist

Made sense to me when I was listening, but somehow watching this still amused me. Now I'm curious about which side is the butt.

Emily Rose Barter

Got it! I absolutely could not figure out what Hank was saying on the podcast (or why the question had been asked) because where I come from, the hot dog buns are cut on the top... (you can google "top cut hotdog buns")

Jonathan Labin

Was nobody able to dig up a How-its-made style video to validate or refute this description?

Eric Lochtefeld

If the spindle down the middle was a spindle, and its centerfuge was on the center, how does one side get deeper cut than the other?
