Tie a ribbon around the jar! It may still be a rib in a jar, but at least it will look festive. 🎀

Trying to think of a rib(bon) pun but my mind seems to be stuck in a cage.

andreamsofcake

You could put it in a little baby carriage, like a baby. A baby back rib?

Stella W

Give it a name, and then write "in memory of (name)"

Gino

She should put it in a fire extinguisher glass panel with the memo "break in case of emergency"

Mikaela Smith

Mount it on the wall the way people mount deer antlers, but it's just like... one rib

Quill

Shadow box! With a background of an anatomical drawing with the rib's former location highlighted just so people know where it used to live.

Travis Bostick

Get a large figure of an ape and position it holding the rib like in the opening scene from 2001: A Space Odyssey.

I don’t understand why she doesn’t just store it with all of her other human remains...

Epicsnailien

Make sewing needles or arrow heads out of it?

Psara

Make a mold of yourself, then cast a resin sculpture of yourself with the rib where it used to go in you!

Lora Donnelly

Maybe make a reliquary. I've done that for pet ashes before. Mine were pine boxes with etched panel drawings of the pet and things they like. You could get really artsy about it.

Beau

Wrap it in copper wire and make it a necklace. People will be like “yooooo is that bone?!” And you’ll be like “yes that is *my bone*” and no one will ever mess with you again

Forest

Drill a hole in one end and tie a ribbon through it. Tada! Now it's a wall hanging, or ornament, or necklace! You could even make it part of a wind chime.

James

Make it into a knife handle or a knife itself by polishing/grinding it very slowly and carefully.
