In this week's Dear Hank and John, we received an update from Amy, who previously wrote in asking for dubious advice on a situation that involved her Pizza John tee interfering with her love life. We're happy to report that Amy has acquired a nerdfightery tee without John's face on it, and her make-out troubles are no more!

Can a pizza John shirt be a form of contraception, unlike mountain dew or laptops on laps? 😂

Henrik Wilson

Hooray! Another problem solved by Dear John and Hank!

Matthew J Palka

Pizza john has much better view to appreciate it too! :D

This is by far my favorite episode thus far. VidCon-punch-drunk Hank and John are the best.

My favorite episode too. I think they both should start every episode with a stiff drink like Men in Blazers. And John should totally do a 30m soccer podcast with various guests - not just sports or soccer types either.

The worst episode ever was also my favorite episode ever. Please more like that!

I also get the "night feeling", I call it the "I want to go home" feeling. But I do not have a home. It is nice to know that people who do have a home still feel this way. It makes me feel better. Awesome episode!

Fletcher Fernau

The feeling described in this episode is very similar to the Portuguese concept of saudade, or the German concept of Sehnsucht.

It's interesting knowing other people get this way too. It's such a weird, irritating, and frustrating experience for me. Personally, I worry about whether it's a symptom of high anxiety yet the feeling comes and goes with no pattern (at least, none I've discerned). This feeling is not restrained to the night for me.

For the listener with tangled headphone cord - I usually wrap the cord around my hand and then I tie it with a little piece of ribbon or yarn and it prevents it from tangling. :) If you are crafty, you can sew a little "holder" for your headphone cord, like this one: http://www.sashe.sk/on.a.ona/detail/mala-kopa-velku-pyta Or if you have earbuds, you can wrap them around your hand and then keep them in a small pouch. Hope this helps! :)

I know the best way to keep your ear buds from tangling! Step 1: fold them in half holding the ear buds and jack in one hand. With your other hand hold the folded end by putting one finger inside the folded part of the cord. Step 2: twist the folded end until the whole cord is pretty tightly twisted. Step 3: Quickly (without letting go of the twist) fold your cord in half a second time allowing it to twist upon itself a second time. DONE! :) I will say that this technique has only been tested in a back pack pocket as I do not carry mine in my pants pocket but I hypothesize that it will work either way. Sorry I am so late to this discussion..

Late reply but the WONDERFUL way I reduce headphonic tangling (note, reduce); instead of wrapping around my hand in circles before stuffing in into my pocket, I do the nerdfighter sign (separate two fingers each) then proceed to wrap the cord around in a figure 8. Once all coiled up, put in pocket. This doesn't waste much time to do, but seems to save a lot in untangling time!!!
