How does one handle a sense of grief for artists one enjoyed yet never knew? Can it even properly be called grief if we never knew the person, but we knew their art? Is it wrong to feel a sense of connection to someone who one only knew the public persona for? This grief seems to be a combination of disappointment that one will never meet or get to know someone who made such an impact, which seems like an odd selfish thing, but also a sadness that this person is gone, and a sadness for those who did know them. Sorry, long-winded question but unfortunately lots of death.
