Spoon Civic FD2 vs. Spoon Integra DC5 Tsukuba 2007 (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

I’m excited to finally share the process behind my latest work on the Spoon FD2 and DC5 race cars. This project was a unique challenge because, for the FD2 in particular, I had to rely almost entirely on a single video as my primary reference point.

When you're dealing with iconic builds like these, the pressure is on to get every detail right from the exact shade of Spoon yellow and blue to the specific aero placements that make these cars so legendary on the track.

It took a lot of pausing, zooming, and cross-referencing to make sure the stance and the liveries were period-correct. In this post, I’m breaking down how I translated those grainy frames into the final result you see here.
