En's Weekly Thoughts:

Had a late start to my work day because the power went out in my neighborhood until the late afternoon, so I was in a scramble to even write this post. I feel like rambling this week about nothing in particular.

If you've ever been to my streams, you'll know that I adopt an attitude that's pretty much the exact opposite from what I do here: on stream I'm loud, arrogant and extremely vulgar. I play it up, obviously, for the sake of getting people to laugh, but there isn't a week that goes by where I'm recording something in my normal voice and I almost don't recognize myself from how different I sound.

A lot of people have this notion about me that always amazes me about how I'm actually a very confident person who just does what he wants. But nothing could be further from the truth in that I'm riddled with all sorts of insecurities and I'm not actually as vain as I come across on my streams. I think part of the reason why I even make those jokes to begin with is because I know it's not actually true about myself and how I perceive myself.

I think I've been pondering this lately because I have to go on a work trip this weekend. It'll be the first time I'm travelling for work since before COVID, and so I'll be surrounded by a bunch of old people talking about stuff that's beyond my understanding for three days straight. I'm generally pretty quiet and shy in real life, but I'm even more so when I'm around my coworkers and colleagues. And it mostly stems from a feeling of inadequacy in believing that everyone else is looking at me like I'm some kind of freak.

It'll be interesting to see how it goes because I've mostly spent my days for the past 6 years just surrounding myself with fellow nerds and shitposters on the Internet. I wonder how much I've changed in the time since then and to what extent I'll see that change in the people I interact with for work.

A little bit of an unfocused ramble this week, but I got a lot of work to catch up on because of the power outage from earlier. I'll see y'all next week. Luv ya'.

As always, catch me on Twitch being goofy and annoying 'cause that's where most of my attention (outside of my 9-5 job) goes. And if you have any ideas for script scenarios, feel free to DM me here!_____________________________________________________Special ThanksSupremes: RiosjudeOverlords: Elvellia | Vade Vafurous | Paolo Ming Azevedo

I can definitely relate to having a personality gap on stream vs off. In addition to what you've said, I also find that it helps add a layer to social interactions that makes entertaining others and talking much easier. By, in a sense, "playing a role/character", it lets you have a mask over the shy/insecure parts of yourself, which I dont think is wrong so long as you let the mask down at times and take a break, much like what you do for these kind of posts. I hope the work trip isn't too stressful. I know how draining it can be to be surrounded by people so different from you while trying to keep up with things you don't understand. Even if you feel shy and insecure, both your content here and on your streams is hard proof that you are talented as a performer and know how to adjust to changing surroundings/situations. You got this man, and I hope you're able to have good downtime to decompress <3

ENSMR

sorry about that, fixed it now

Galaxy Yazz

I hope you'll have a fun time and safe travels on your work trip! Also sorry for not stopping by stream that often anymore. My health has been sucky and my roommate in the hospital doesn't want me to play any sound. I do hope streams have been going well!

ENSMR

DO NOT EVER BE SORRY FOR NOT GOING TO STREAM. Nobody is obligated to ever be there and your health is way more important than my nonsense!!!! I hope you feel better.

Galaxy Yazz

I've just been missing jumping into stream and listening to you play games. It kinda goes hand in hand with me not being able to be home and see my cats. Hospitals suck. But on the brighter note! I did get a new treatment today so hopefully if that goes well, I'll be going home this weekend or next week. ^^

ENSMR

I'm late but how'd the treatment go?

Galaxy Yazz

Aww thank you for asking! Sadly enough the treatment didn't really do much so I'm still stuck in the hospital. The nurses have been really nice and they're definitely doing their best but for now it's still a guessing game on what's wrong and how to fix/better it. I really appreciate that you're checking, it means a lot. Thank you so much!

ENSMR

I almost forgot to respond again but I hope you were able to figure it out and that your stay at the hospital isn't too strenuous!!!

Galaxy Yazz

No worries at all :) So far we're not really any closer to figuring out what's wrong but I should be able to go home soon though. Then I'll finally get kitty cuddles again and all will be fine x)
