I'm sitting here sipping a mulled cider my wife brought me. The timing was perfect. She showed up as the entire Suck Session master file was being backed up to an external drive. It is with great happiness that I report to you that Suck Session is in fact finished. No more edits. No more rerenders. No more revisions. I found that the key to keeping your sanity when you're a perfectionist is to get to the point where you're 99% happy with the work, then call it a day. That's where I am with this project. I could still run some experiments to see if I can make certain images just a little bit better, but it would be a poor expenditure of time at this point. It really looks like a masterpiece, or at least something I would go far out of my way to buy and be thrilled to have.
I went into an extreme level of nit-pick this week. If there were two spaces between words or a missing comma, I would rewrite the entire narration script for that image. If there was a hair out of place, I'd go back to the session file and sculpt it. If Visola's chin looked a bit off in an image, I'd fix it.
I wasn't above leaving images on the cutting room floor, but I was amazed at how much I could salvage. In the end, this story contains 704 unique images. That does not include duplicate images that have narration written over them which is well above 400. I've checked the 3DX vendors. There is nothing like this on any of the sites. Nothing that comes close in terms of its size. The script alone is of a high enough quality and word count that I could probably get it published as a stand-alone novella if it wasn't niche.
Suck Session, however, may not be all that niche. I think the target audience is bigger than the one the Veilguard devs went after. As lovers of women's feet, we are legion and completely underrepresented. The good folks at Blizzard are picking up on that fact with their latest Overwatch update and God bless them too. As for Futanari I think the potential audience for that is even bigger.
What remains to be done is a slight upscale. It turns out that true 4K is about 1.1x the file size I've been working with for most of these shots. Once you get up to pixel counts around 3500, you can upscale as high as you want to go and the results are flawless. I will also need to robotically convert to JPEG as an alternate, more compact format. I can batch process that procedure, but if I do it one at a time in Affinity Photo I can guarantee the highest possible quality for that format.
I've been on vacation all week and used that time to drag this project across the finish line, finally, after 2 years of hard work. I have some bad and good news. I haven't made new content this week. Not yet. The good news is that I don't go back to work until Wednesday. I'll be doing nothing tomorrow other than setting up new renders. I should have all of this week's renders up for you on Sunday. I apologize for the delay. I just couldn't pull myself away from my main project when I was this close to finishing. The next time I take on something that's nearly this big, it will be a feature-length animation.
Black Friday is coming up. I've got my eyes on a program that will unlock many exciting new possibilities. I'll be able to convert all of my favorite ladies from video games to fully rigged Genesis 8 Females, and then bring them into Blender for proper animation.
I appreciate your patience.
