Content

I've been putting most of my free time outside of creating core content into learning to animate. I've got my first proper Blender animation up and running and everything is going beautifully. I even figured out a technique I've seen mentioned nowhere else that will speed up my workflow. I'll be rendering in a new version of EEVEE. It's not quite Cycles-level quality but I've configured the settings to make it look damn close and EEVEE is MANY times faster. I've also taken the time to learn proper lighting technique as Blender cameras don't have built in lights and everything will have to be shoot to print. I'll be able to do a lot of editing in my video editor, but I won't be able to layer and cheat by painting in the lighting as I do with Affinity Photo with individual frames.

I've also taken the down the procedure for importing Blender animations into Unreal 5. I watched a video on how to do this about a year ago and it was weaponized gate keeping. I learned a much simpler procedure that will get me virtually the same results. The new EEVEE is impressive. It has ray tracing, meaning it will capture light reflections off surfaces. Those surfaces have to be in view of the camera to take effect, however, so EEVEE is still not a proper replacement for Cycles. By bypassing hardware powered ray-tracing altogether in favor of a software powered solution, Unreal's Lumen offers a no-compromise solution. Additionally, I'll be able to render videos in real time. I'll be able to render full-length videos that would take weeks to pull off in DAZ, days to pull off in Cycles, and hours to pull off in EEVEE in mere minutes with a render quality that equals Cycles.

In short, my timetable for what I ultimately hope to accomplished has moved up. Way up. I'll soon be able to offer the kind of content that I had hoped to bring to this page. If I can get a full video up here before the end of the year, it will mark the completion of 2 of my 3 major goals for this year, and I may have time yet to finish the third.

The first couple videos will be rendered in EEVEE as shown here. I'm looking to start working in Unreal as early as January. As before, I'll be able to steer videos in the direction of your requests as they are being made.

2025 is going to be exciting. I may not graduate to full mo-cap and hiring voice over actresses by this time next year, but there will be plenty of animations and I can easily see myself bringing in sex sounds, foley effects, lip sync and the modulated voice of my wife in 2026 and suiting up in 2027 with a full Girlfriends4Ever sized production out on the market in 2028.
